New Scene(@Temporal = Night)
Ash and company are sitting around a campfire in the forest, where’s they’re finishing their dinner. Benjy appears to already be finished and about ready to fall asleep.
Narrator: Still heading towards Petalburg City our allies get a bit of rest after a long day.
Celebi climbs onto Benjy’s head and touches his forehead with it’s antennae. Benjy nods slightly and Celebi disappears in a flash of light.
Refresh Scene(@Temporal = Morning)
Celebi is sleeping on Benjy’s head as the first rays of morning’s light shine through the trees. The wind rustles through everyone’s hair gently, and in the wind, something blows into the corner of Benjy’s eye. Benjy immediately blinks and wakes up, rubbing his eye, causing Celebi to tumble to the ground where it also wakes up. Groggily Celebi stumbles backwards into Shroomish, which also wakes up, and being a shadow pokémon, immediately tries to bite Celebi, but the timetravel pokémon pulls away in time.
Benjy grabs Shroomish before it can try to bite Celebi again (being careful not to get bitten himself); and strokes it gently to calm before recalling it. Benjy now stands up and stretches, and a wind rushes by him blowing leaves about. Benjy looks around into the air to see what’s causing the breeze, but immediately gets dizzy and almost falls down, but instead grabs onto a tree for support.
Benjy: Stood up too quickly…
As Benjy regains his balance, he notices Ash’s Pikachu pulling on his pant leg.
Pikachu: Pika? Chu?
Benjy: I’m fine, don’t worry.
Pikachu turns it’s head in the direction in which they are traveling, where the forest becomes less dense.
Pikachu: Pika.
Refresh Scene()
Ash and company are eating breakfast in the forest.
Brock: Hey Benjy, where’s that Shroomish?
Benjy: She got a bit aggressive this morning.
Brock: Hm?
Benjy: She’s back in her ball.
May: What about breakfast though?
Benjy: Shroomish usually only eats once a day. If I were to let her out now, things might get ugly.
Brock: Probably just has a lot of energy.
Ash: Especially since you don’t let it out very much.
Benjy: I don’t think you understand.
Max: I wonder where we are?
Max pulls out his pokénav, and starts to boot it up. Suddenly Pikachu’s ears perk up, and it looks around anxiously.
New Scene()
The camera descends from the sky upon a gigantic octagonal fence around an area of the forest. As the camera slowly zooms to the inside of the octagonal fence, the area is revealed to be somewhat of an enclosure for pokémon, which don’t look too happy about the fact their in a sectioned off area. Near one of the reinforced walls, a massive group of Roselia and Roserade fire solarbeams and other attacks at the wall.
QST.camera now passes through the wall to the other side. Here a couple people in space-suit-like uniforms (Team Plasma) walk past the wall.
Plasma Grunt1: They’re still trying to get out?
Plasma Grunt2: It’s like what Anthea said. Remember?

The grunts are talking to a woman inside a tent, but QST.camera can’t hear what they’re saying.
</Flashback>
Plasma Grunt1: I must’ve missed that meeting.
Plasma Grunt2: They still think people have their best interest at heart. People outside Team Plasma I mean…
Plasma Grunt1: I know what you mean.
Plasma Grunt2: Just making sure.
Plasma Grunt1: Of course.
The camera now shifts back inside the enclosure where a Venusaur rams the edge of the preserve, trying to break through. It then rams it again, using solarbeam as it does so, but the wall stays in tact. A pair of Bulbasaur watch from a safe distance.
Revert Scene()
Narrator: Wait a minute, something’s wrong…
Max: Huh, that’s weird…
Max shakes the pokénav, confused.
May: Max, don’t do that!
Max: It’s not telling us where we are…
Narrator: That’s not what I meant. I meant there’s something wrong with the story–
Another gust of wind blows through the area, and this time both Skitty and Pikachu rush to see what’s causing it. Suddenly a shrill scream is heard from nearby, and as everyone looks for the cause, Benjy’s Celebi suddenly tumbles out of a nearby tree to where Ash catches it.
Ash: Benjy!
Benjy and May quickly rush to see what happened to Celebi. Ash gently gives Celebi back to Benjy. The Millennium Gameboy Advance pulses slightly with light.
Yami Benjy: Celebi! What happened?!
Celebi starts to say something, but then faints, leaving Yami Benjy to recall it, worried. As everyone looks around, a Skarmory’s cry is heard and everyone scrambles to figure out where it’s coming from.
Brock: That’s a Skarmory’s cry.
Ash: Then that’s what must have–
Ash is cut off as a Skarmory shoots down like a rocket at Pikachu and Skitty, causing both to run in different directions. Ash and May to chase after their pokémon and Skarmory. Skarmory starts to chase Pikachu, but the mouse zaps the bird. Skarmory now breaks free and flies as Skitty, whom May has now caught up with. May dives on top of Skitty as Skarmory swoops down. However, instead of catching Skitty, Skarmory grabs May by the shoulders and lifts her into the air leaving Skitty still on the ground.
Ash: Pikachu! Thunderbolt!
Pikachu sparks, charging it’s attack.
Brock: Ash wait!
Pikachu now starts to attack Skarmory, but Skarmory turns it’s head and fires a hyper beam straight at everyone remaining. The camera focuses on May as the hyper beam hits the ground and explodes, obscuring Ash and company from May’s viewpoint, and letting Skarmory fly a good ways from them.
Refresh Scene()
Ash, Max, and Brock stand behind Yami Benjy, who managed to put up a barrier just in time. The barrier now fades, leaving a massive wall of dust between May and the rest of the group. Now as the dust slowly clears, everyone searches for where May went, but the group can’t seem to find her, for about five seconds (real time) until the dust has mostly settled.
Ash now spots May in the sky, about 300 feet away, and is joined by Yami Benjy, Max, and Brock (whom has cleaned up their camp in less than five seconds–when the camera turns back we see a clear campsite)
Max: Wow…
Ash: What are you waiting for! After her!
Starting with Ash, the group immediately starts chasing after May and Skarmory.
Ash: Benjy! Call on Satolite!
Yami Benjy: Satolite’s on an errand!

Calista sits at her desk looking worried and staring out the window.

Ash: Right…
Refresh Scene()
As Ash and company tear through the undergrowth they have difficulty keeping an eye on Skarmory. After a minute of intense chasing, Ash and company (except for May obviously) see a wall rapidly approaching them. Skarmory flies over the top of the wall, leaving Ash and company to figure out what to do. Ash immediately starts climbing the wall, using vines as hand-holds, followed by Brock and Max.
New Scene(Rewind Temporal(30 seconds, STORY_TIME))
Now approaching the outside of the wall, Skarmory is still holding May in it’s talons, and May is struggling to get free, somewhat unaware of being so high in the air. Despite this, May doesn’t seem to be getting anywhere. Tiring herself out, May clamps her eyes shut:

The camera now shows Skarmory Carrying May against a Black Background, yellow outline around each.
May: Ouch! This hurts…
(0.5 second pause)
May: And I think it’s grip is getting tighter.
May gulps.
May: Last resorts are only last resorts if you use them–okay then–What was it? Rittih? Righ-too? Righ-toh? That’s it, that’s it! Tesserum Rightoh! Tesserum Rightoh! TESSERUM RIGHTOH!
May: Not working…oh!
May: TESSERUM RIGHATTA! (Tess-er-rum rye-at-ah)
QST.Escape: Meta Scene
Now having crosses the wall, Skarmory suddenly looks down at May to see her body glowing and sparking slightly.
Skarmory: Sk–SKARMORY!!!
Skarmory screams as it’s body is wracked with tremors and it’s wings rapidly being to loose feathers. Skarmory then drops May, as it becomes unable to fly. May falls away from Skarmory with one of Skarmory’s feet still gripping her (no longer attached to Skarmory), while the rest of Skarmory (still alive) is headed for the ground in a (slightly) more graceful way.
May briefly opens her eyes as she falls, and the camera synchronizes with May’s vision for the couple seconds she has her eyes open to see the trees rushing at her. As May falls into the tree, she hits something which dislodges Skarmory’s remaining claw from her shoulder. May then shuts her eyes again (and the camera goes dark) moments before a dull *clunk* is heard.

May lies in a large flowery bush (which has broken her fall, and also been broken by it); nearly knocked unconscious (she has spirals on her eyes); her foot twitches slightly, then she turns over and appears to throw up (offscreen)
Note to {Compiler, Producer} The purpose of this scene is to show that May is still alive.

The two Team Plasma members seen patrolling before are still on patrol.
Plasma Grunt1: Why do we even have these patrols anyway, it’s not like anyone ever wants to get in there…
Plasma Grunt2: It’s always the stupid Pokémon trying to get out…

Ash, Max, and Brock are still in the process of climbing over the wall, with Pikachu riding on Ash’s shoulder. Hearing someone approaching, Yami Benjy pauses and turns around slowly. Yami Benjy sees the Team Plasma patrol several seconds before they see him. As soon as the second patrolman sees them he runs forwards, leaving the first patrolman bewildered.
Plasma Grunt2: H-Hey! That area’s off limits to people!
Brock: It’s an emergency!
Max: My sister was abducted by a Skarmory and taken in there!
Both Team Plasma patrolmen suddenly stop and stare at each other.
Plasma Grunt1: Um…
Plasma Grunt2: We’ve never had that…
Plasma Grunt1: Can you please wait so we can talk to our…
The second plasma patrolman cuts off the first by firing an energy blast above Brock, cutting the vines he’s climbing on and causing him to fall to the ground.
Plasma Grunt1: What are you doing?!
Plasma Grunt2: I’m just doing my job!
The second grunt then fires another blast at Max, but Jirachi in his backpack protects him with a barrier from the direct impact of the blast, but it still knocks him to the ground.
Plasma Grunt1: Please lets us first talk to our supervisors!
Ash: I can’t wait!
With this Ash, with Pikachu on his shoulder, jumps over the fence leaving both Plasma Grunts dumbstruck. The second grunt now points his blaster at Brock, but suddenly hesitates as he quickly discovers that Yami Benjy has equipped his blade-mittens and has a blade-mitten pointed squarely at his throat.
Yami Benjy: Drop the weapons.
The Team Plasma Patrolman immediately drops his blaster, followed by the other Patrolman who also discards his blaster from his tool-belt.

Inside the walled area, Ash has landed in a bush with no other pokémon nearby. As he gets to his feet, he hears a *pop* and a purple flare shoots into the sky on the other side of the wall. Ash stares at it explodes in a mini-firework, then takes off with Pikachu at his heels.
Ash: Got to find May…
New Scene()
Max, Brock, and Yami Benjy follow the now-unarmed Plasma Patrolmen around the perimeter of the wall.
Plasma Grunt2: Can you fire a blue one, too?
Yami Benjy: What does that one mean?
Plasma Grunt1: It means we’ve got something we have to relay to the higher-ups!
Brock examines the firework blaster, and sets the trigger to blue.
Plasma Grunt2: Straight up.
Brock now fires the firework directly upwards, where it explodes overhead. Immediately, the second grunt’s pager beeps.
Woman’s Voice1: Officer Brimstein… What’s the matter?
Plasma Grunt2 → Brimstein: We’ve got a little problem. The wall’s been breached.
Woman’s Voice1: What got out?
Brimstein: Nothing got out, someone got in.
Woman’s Voice1: Why didn’t you send up a red flare immediately!
Woman’s Voice2: Why is that a little problem!
Plasma Grunt1: It’s complicated!
Woman’s Voice1: Quiet, Concordia. But it’s still under control…?
Brimstein: It is.
Woman’s Voice1: Meet the two of us in the northwest station.
Brimstein: We’ve got people with us.
Woman’s Voice1: Take them to the northwest station. We’ll meet you there. Ten four.
Brock: Northwest station?
Plasma Grunt1: It’s up ahead.
Brock nods.
Plasma Grunt1: This is going to be a mess…
Max, Brock, and Yami Benjy follow the Team Plasma Grunts for about another ten seconds real time, before the first grunt points out the station in the distance.
New Scene()
The group arrives at the station, which is set up more like a campsite with a couple tents, a pair of porto-potties, and a very small building. As the group approaches, a blond-haired girl about fourteen steps out of the building (which is really more of a booth). Brock immediately gets hearts on his eyes, but Yami Benjy slaps him out of it before he can say anything.
Girl: What happened?
Brimstein: You tell her!
Plasma Grunt1: We got a report that, well… A Skarmory…
The grunt swallows hard.
Max: A Skarmory abducted my sister and flew in there.
It’s now the Girl’s turn to swallow hard.
Girl: Uh… Can you please come inside…
Brimstein: Of course–
Brimstein gestures for the others to enter the tent. The girl does, and then the group follows her with the Team Plasma patrolmen in the back. The camera now follows everyone into the tent, where another, darker-haired girl is waiting.

Blond-Haired Girl: So quickly, what’s going on?
Brock: We were on our way to Petalburg, when a Skarmory abducted his sister. We chased it and it flew over the wall…
As both girls stare at Brock, and he suddenly gets hearts on his eyes.
Dark-Haired Girl: That’s highly unlikely…
Max: We saw it!
Dark-Haired Girl: What did you see?
The Team Plasma Patrolmen now both take turns explaining their accounts of what happened to the two girls.
Dark-Haired Girl: So you didn’t actually see it?
The two Plasma Grunts shake their heads.
Brimstein: It seems likely though…
Blond-Haired Girl: But it’s highly unusual behavior for a Skarmory…
Dark-Haired Girl: It would’ve been going back to it’s nest, and aren’t any Skarmory nests in there… So you sister…
Blond-Haired Girl: There was no signal that anything flew out…
Dark-Haired Girl: There was no signal that anything flew in, either.
Blond-Haired Girl: Because you had to put these buffoons on patrol!
Both Team Plasma patrolman now bow and apologize.
Blond-Haired Girl: There’s no use in that now–
Dark-Haired Girl: There’s no way I can believe the story.
Max: But we’re telling the truth?
Dark-Haired Girl: That’s impossible!
The dark haired girl puts her hand on her hips and turns to the blond-haired girl.
Blond-Haired Girl: What about the guy that got in? (Whisper)
Dark-Haired Girl: I’ll have that alien we contracted take care of him. (Whisper)
Yami Benjy: So it looks like they aren’t going to help us. Lets go.
Yami Benjy grabs Brock by the shirt (as he is still proverbially drooling over the two girls and turns to leave) The Team Plasma patrol stands aside in confusion.
Blond-Haired Girl: That area os a sanctuary for pokémon that were abused by people! You’re not allowed in there!
Max: B-but…
Yami Benjy winks at Max.
Blond-Haired Girl: You are not going in there!
Yami Benjy: Abused by people?
Blond-Haired Girl: People are not allowed in there!
Yami Benjy: Doesn’t matter what you allow. They say that those who break the rules are dirt. But they say that those who abandon their friends are even less than that.
Dark-Haired Girl: You never had a sister! It’s just a lame excuse to try to catch some weak Pokémon!
The dark haired girl does air quotes where the quotes are in her line.
Yami Benjy: Then I’ll prove you wrong.
With this, Yami Benjy, Max, and Brock exit the tent.
Brock: What do we do?
Yami Benjy: Just ignore them.

Yami Benjy, Max, and Brock are approaching the wall, when suddenly the dark-haired girl jumps from the tent with an energy blaster and fires it at the three of them. Yami Benjy immediately turns around and puts his fists together: a large golden barrier materializes instantly and deflects the blast. Immediately following this, the Blond-Haired Girl leaps from the tent.
Blond-Haired Girl: YOU PEOPLE MAKE ME SICK!
As soon as she lands, she hurls something thin at Yami Benjy, Max, and Brock. Brock dodges the object, while Jirachi teleports Max out of the way, and Yami Benjy catches the object.
Yami Benjy: This is a duel monsters card…
Dark-Haired Girl: We aren’t sickos that hurt get Pokémon beat up to solve our problems. Take this!
The dark-haired girl hurls another something at Yami Benjy, aiming for his face, but Yami Benjy also snatches it out of the air. Now Brock reaches for a poké ball.
Brock: I’ll handle these two. You guys look for Ash and May!
Yami Benjy and Max agree, and start to rush towards the wall, but something catches both of them by the wrists and prevents them from going anywhere. As Brock stares dumbstruck, the blond-haired girl hits him in the forehead with a card, knocking him out.
Max now tugs on the line, which is attached to both girls have attached to duel disks on their arms
Yami Benjy: What did you guys do?!
Blond-Haired Girl: It’s an anchor. You’re stuck here permanently.
Max: Until I beat you that is.
Both girls look at Max in surprise.
Max: It’s a duel anchor. I know how these things work.
With his free hand, Max extracts a duel disk from his pack and attaches it (with some trouble to his tethered wrist).
Max: Benjy, you have to beat them to break free! You can use May’s cards! It’s easy!
Max: Even though May and my decks don’t have good synergy, it’s better than nothing…
Yami Benjy: Uh…
Max: Jirachi! Teleport May’s duel disk onto his arm!
Dark-Haired Girl: You don’t have to do what he says, you know!
Max: Shut it, Jirachi’s my–
Dark-Haired Girl: Your what?
Both girls blink in surprise as May’s duel disk is teleported onto Yami Benjy’s arm.
Max: Now just follow my lead! Huh?
Max stares as Yami Benjy pulls out May’s Deck and inserts another.
Yami Benjy: I know this game.
Max now starts looking a bit more relieved.
Yami Benjy: Ready?
The red energy beams now holding Yami Benjy and Max from leaving now merge to form a red X of energy with the two girls on one side and Yami Benjy and Max on the other, then disappear leaving red bands around all four duelists wrists. Both teams are shown to have 8000 Life Points. Yami Benjy stares at May’s duel disk for a brief second.
Yami Benjy: So your names are Anthea and Concordia…
Max: And as you can see, I do have a sister.
The dark-haired girl (Concordia) turns to the blond-haired girl (Anthea):
Anthea: I bet you stole it from a girl in your class at school.
Max fumes at this comment.
New Scene()
Now lying in the grass, May slowly opens her eyes to find herself surrounded by a variety of pokémon, mostly grass-types. May tries to move, but only manages to move her arm slightly. Vines now gently wrap around her arm, and help her flex it a ways.
May now looks around at the variety of pokémon, at least as much as she can without moving her neck too much.
May: What happened… Did they…
The camera now zooms out to show that May’s legs are wrapped by large leaves that are serving as bandages. May starts to turn her head again, and suddenly gasps for air, in pain. Suddenly some vines twist May’s head back so that her neck is straight.
May: Uh…
May starts panting and suddenly becomes unable to talk.
Roserade: Rose?
May looks upwards, not moving her head, as a Roserade walks up to her. May watches as Roserade places it’s hand near May’s nose and mouth and lets a fragrance come out of it’s flower. May’s breathing becomes easier and she falls asleep.
Torchic: Torchic Tor?
May’s Torchic, which had been hiding, now emerges from the thicket and rushes up to Roserade, which now removes it’s flower from May’s face. For the rest of this scene, what the pokémon are saying appears in English subtitles. Torchic trips over something though, and lands sprawling.
Torchic: Tor! (Ow!)
Roserade: Rade rade, roselia. (Relax, the anesthesia just wore off prematurely)
Ivysaur: Ivy? (How is she?)
Roserade: Rose selirade. (Looks like she sprained her neck too)
Torchic: Torchic! (Does that mean)
Roserade: Roser–rade. (No, it doesn’t)
Skiploom: Ploom! Skiploom! (She’ll be fine)
Ivysaur: Saur Vy… (That was quite a drop)
Roserade: Roserade. (This makes me wonder if she sustained any internal injuries)
A Loudred now walks up to May.
Loudred: Loudred Low! (Let me check)
Skiploom: Skipip! (No way you always just break stuff!)
A Hoppip lands on Skiploom.
Hoppip: Pip! (If you break him I’ll never get to be a human trainer!)
Loudred has now reached May and lifts up her shirt a few inches, revealing her belly.
Roserade: Crade. (It’s a girl.)
Roserade: Roseroserade. (And she’s not the kind of human you train. She’s no where near powerful enough to last in battle)
Hoppip looks extremely disappointed as Loudred examines May’s waist. Loudred pokes May’s belly and she flinches
Loudred: Low. Dred? (Seems fine)
Roserade: Sersrade… (And it looks like her spine is fine too… Might need a bit of adjusting though)
Roserade turns to Ivysaur and a Roselia as the camera zooms out, zipping through the forest to where Ash is located.
As he walks through the forest Ash calls out May’s name, but there is no reply May doesn’t reply, but Pikachu’s ears perk up. From out of the grass wander a couple Paras, who look at Ash wide-eyed. Ash asks them if they’ve seen May, and he’s forced to clarify what she looks like. The Paras don’t know, and Pikachu helps interpret this.
Ash: Well okay, thanks, I’ll keep looking.
Paras: Paras paras.
Both Paras now turn and disappear back into the undergrowth as Ash continues along, unaware that several Pokémon are staring at him from the undergrowth.
Ash: I didn’t see that Skarmory in the sky anywhere when I was atop the wall, so it must have landed… Wasn’t going fast enough to get across the other wall. That stupid bird has to be here somewhere…
Revert Scene()
Yami Benjy and Max stand facing Concordia and Anthea.
Concordia: You’re not getting away with this!
Max: You’re not getting away with this!
Anthea: We’ll see about that!
Yami Benjy: Yes, we will…
All: Duel!
Max: I’m taking you down!

Concordia and Anthea stare at Yami Benjy speechless.
Yami Benjy: It appears to have been a subconscious effort on your part, but sooner or later the truth will shine through.
Anthea: We already know the truth! You’re just–
Yami Benjy: The real truth. And right now, it’s my move.
The Millennium Gameboy Advance starts to pulse slightly with light.
Yami Benjy: Here we go!

Ash is lead along by a Lombre through the forest. Skiploom hover in the air watching him curiously. Lombre leads Ash along a trail to a large lake on higher ground. Ash looks down at the lake and marvels at it.
Ash: No sign of her anywhere…
Lombre: Lomb?
Pikachu: Pikachu-pika!
Ash: Can we get to higher ground?
Lombre nods, and begins to show Ash the way.
Ash: I’m not sending out Taillow until I know for sure the coast is clear…
Lombre starts to walk faster and Ash quickens his pace to keep up with the pokémon.
