Benjy: That was too close for comfort…
Concordia: You kids are persistent.
Anthea: Could’ve sworn that would be checkmate…
Max: They’re tough, but they should be rendered harmless now…

A pair of Ivysaur are sniffing May’s legs while she sleeps on the ground.
Ivysaur1: Vivi…saur… (Definitely not the kind of human you can train)
The other Ivysaur continues sniffing.
Oddish: Dish–di! (But it looked like she knows magic!)
Roserade: Serade. Roserade ro. (That would explain why she’s a bit out of shape)
Loudred: Low? (How?)
The ground starts to shake and suddenly all the pokémon look up to see a Venusaur approaching.
Venusaur: Venu venu!
Roserade: Ro?
The pokémon now look to see the Skarmory that tried to abduct May on the Back of the Venusaur, looking very sick, having lost all of it’s feathers. The Venusaur now picks the Skarmory off of it’s back and places it on the ground a few feet from May. Torchic starts to get upset seeing it, and begins to look poofy.
Venusaur: Venusaur…
Roserade: Rade. (I’ll put this together)
Roserade looks from May to Skarmory nervously.
Roserade: Roserade roserade roserade-rade-serade. (Magic then? Looks like a miscast of something…)
Jumpluff: Ploom!
Roserade: Serade? (Disintegration spell?)
Jumpluff nods, and at the same time more Skiploom fly over the area, conveying the message to the pokémon that someone has come to rescue May, which Loudred immediately assumes to be her prince in shining armor, and the camera show as picture of what Loudred envisions (in a thought bubble)
Venusaur: Venu-venu saur saur saur. (They say princes in shining armor are pretty good at destroying stuff. We should get him destroy that wall for us)
The Skiploom seem to disagree on whether this possible for Ash to do. The camera now zips back to where Ash is walking towards May as a Skiploom flies overhead, and says something to Pikachu and Lombre, which appears to worry both Pokémon significantly.
Ash: Where is she?!
Skiploom: Skip-skip–
Pikachu: Pika!
Skiploom takes off in the direction of where May fell, and Pikachu takes off after it. Ash in turns runs after Pikachu, whom in turn is followed by Lombre, now running on all fours.

Ash and Pikachu are chasing after Skiploom though the forest.
Pikachu: Pika. Pika.
Skiploom: Ploom…
As they run, Ash starts to take a step and suddenly realizes that he isn’t on the ground anymore! On instinct he grabs an overhanging branch before he can fall in the water about 2 feet below him.
In the pond in front of him are various pokémon, such as Roselia, Linoone, Mightyena, Marshtomp, Grovyle, et cetera, and all of them are staring at him and Pikachu, suddenly turning red, with embarrassment.
Ash: What? What’s going on?

Skiploom arrives at the camp where the other Pokémon are looking after May and Skarmory.
Skiploom: Ploom! Ploom! (I brought them!)
Loudred: Loudred lou! (Then where are they!)
As the pokémon converse, Roserade points out that humans can’t fly…
Revert Scene()
Ash and Pikachu run away down the path chased by a variety of projectiles, fired by the pokémon, startling Lombre as they pass. Ash trips a few yards after this, and the attacks pass over his head and explode in some nearby bushes.
Ash: What was that?
Pikachu: Chu-chu pikachu…
Ash: There’s got to be another way…
As Ash says this, Lombre walks up to him, and points in another direction. Ash then asks Lombre if it knows another way, and Lombre nods.
Revert Scene()
May turns over in her sleep as the pokémon watch her. A Grovyle from earlier jumps through the trees to watch as May starts to wake up.
Grovyle: Grow! Grovyle! (This weird human surprised us in the bath!)
Roserade: Rose… (Thank Veemun…)
The Grovyle now turns to the Skiploom that tried to lead Ash originally, and Loudred and the Ivysaur backup, indicative of a showdown.
Ash: May!
Grovyle and Skiploom(Veemun) suddenly turn their attention to where Ash’s voice came from as Ash rushes towards where they are, with Lombre leading and Pikachu at his heels. As Ash reaches the edge of the clearing, Ash stares at May, then notices Skarmory’s condition.
Ash: What happened?
Roserade: Roserade serade rose radero rose ro rade serade.
Ash seems a bit confused at Roserade’s explanation.
Ash: Um…
Pikachu: Pika! Pika-pika-pika!
Pikachu darts into the forest just far enough to grab a twig, then darts back, with Torchic at it’s heels. Upon getting back to the sand, Pikachu begins drawing a diagram of Skarmory carrying May (with stick figures)
Ash: So Skarmory was carrying May…
Pikachu now draws an exclamation point by May’s head, and then starts drawing a double circle around May and Skarmory with odd symbols inscribed between the lines. Pikachu then sparks, and startling Torchic who runs to May’s side.
One of Pikachu’s sparks now blows up the diagram startling Ash, and spraying a large cloud of dust in May and Skarmory’s direction. Still sleeping, this causes May to cough, and thus Pikachu and Torchic to rush over to her. After the fourth cough or so, Loudred pounds May on the back causing her to give a larger cough, which seems to clear her lungs and subsequently wake her up, and stare at Pikachu and Torchic in front of her.
May blinks and looks around, eyes a bit red.
May: Ash…
May now stares at all the Pokémon sitting around her, then instinctively scoots backwards; Roserade leaps out of the way just in time.
May: Where am I?!
May’s voice is close to, but not quite hysterical. May turns around to see the crushed bush where she fell
Ash: We’re in some kind of forest preserve area. It looks like the pokémon were taking care of you after you fell.
May stares at the broken bush as Ash gestures to it.
May: That must have been where Skarmory dropped me…
May now turns to her other side, and flinches at seeing Skarmory lying their next to her, still with spirals on it’s eyes and still heavily banged up.
May: What did I do to it.
Ash starts to explain that they don’t want humans here, when Pikachu returns, from talking with an Ivysaur, and turns Ash’s attention to the Ivysaur, whom proceeds to draw a diagram in the dirt of them breaking the wall. When Ash looks at the Pokémon, they seem to all support the idea of breaking the wall.
Ash: I suppose it would be only fair…
Ash: You want me to knock the wall down?
May: What?
Many of the pokémon nod in unison.
Ash: Okay, I’ll try.
May: But how?
Ash: Just break through it, I guess. We’ve got to repay them for helping you.
May: But I’m fine…
Roserade: Roserade-rade. (You won’t be saying that after my anesthesia wears off)
Pikachu: Pika pi…ka?
Pikachu sparks slightly.
Ash: You’re saying she’s in shock?
Pikachu: Pika.
Pikachu nods.
Narrator: Why do I have a sinking feeling that we forgot someone…
New Scene(One hour earlier)
Team Rocket is floating in their balloon over Team Plasma’s pokémon preserve.
Jessie: So it’s Team Plasma’s pokémon preserve…
James: But what are those guys doing in Hoenn…
Jessie: Doesn’t matter. They’re said to be pokémon that have been abused by humans at some point.
James: Abused by humans?
Meowth: Yup. So I’m thinking all we do is go in there with a big robot and all scary-like
Jessie: But won’t they just run away?
James: You realize they’re stuck there in the preserve, right?
Meowth: Exactly! With any luck, they’ll all be scared stiff!
Jessie: And be ripe for the taking…
Meowth: And the boss will say:

Team Rocket stands before their boss while a large number of rare pokémon stand huddled against the wall.
Giovanni(Meowth’s Voice): For bringing me all these rare and wonderfully obedient Pokémon, Meowth and crew get a raise and a promotion!

Jessie and James chuckle maniacally in their balloon while Meowth grins.
James: We’re going to be rich!

Back on the outside of the wall, Benjy and Max are still facing Concordia and Anthea.
Anthea: Concordia! I think we underestimated them!
Concordia: Speak for yourself! I can’t use any of my effects due to his Shadow Imprisoning Mirror! If you hadn’t used all of your Mystical Space Typhoons–
Anthea: If you actually played them–

Dewloren fires what looks like an ice beam at The Agent of Entropy - Uranus, resulting in a largish explosion which sends both Concordia and Anthea flying backwards. Simultaneously, the red rings disappear from both Benjy’s and Max’s wrists.
Anthea: This can’t be–
Concordia: We bit off more than we could chew, Anthea.
Concordia and Anthea now collapse next to each other with spirals on their eyes.
Max: We beat them!
The Millennium Gameboy Advance pulses slightly with light.
Yami Benjy: I told you, truth will win out.
Brock: Um, I think you’ve lost them…
Yami Benjy: Maybe I have.

Inside the enclosure, Ash and Pikachu are walking towards the edge of the preserve. Behind him, May is riding on an Ivysaur where Roserade is using it’s pollen to keep May’s pain down. May’s legs, lower torso, and one of her arms are wrapped in leaves to act as bandages. As they walk along the path, a large crashing noise is suddenly heard further down the trail, and Ivysaur stops walking.
Ash: What was that?
The crashing comes again, and now the Pokémon are getting nervous.
Ash: Uh…
The group looks around curiously, then everyone shudders as a tree comes crashing down, revealing a gigantic blue humanoid robot behind it. Ash takes out his pokédex, but the pokédex says nothing. With another giant crash another tree falls, and Ash and the group of Pokémon start backing away, moving towards the wall. By now the robot’s "head" is visible, resembling the head of Obelisk the Tormentor.
Pikachu: Pipi–kachu!
As the robot takes another step, the Pokémon are startled into a mini-stampede. Ivysaur grabs onto May with it’s vines to make sure she and Roserade don’t fall off.
Ash: It’s coming this way… Why…
The machine continues to stomp closer, and as the wall of the preserve starts to come into view, suddenly shrill laughter pierces the air.
Jessie: Muhahaha, prepare for trouble!
James: Muhahaha, and then, make it double.
Ash and May stare at the robot, confused.
Jessie: To protect the world from devastation!
James: To unite all peoples within our nation!
Jessie: To denounce the evils of truth and love!
James: To extend our reach to the stars above.
A platform now starts to extend out of the robot’s head.
Jessie: Jessie!
James: James!
Jessie: Team Rocket, blasts off at the speed of light!
James: Surrender now or prepare to fight!
Wobbuffet: Wobbuffet!
Meowth: You’re supposed to let me say my line first, you blue moron!
Wobbuffet: Wobbuh…
Ash/May: Team Rocket?!
May: How did they get here?!
The giant Obelisk robot takes another step closer, making the ground shake.
Ash: That robot is pretty big… Maybe it just walked right over the wall
The robot takes another couple step and the entire ground shakes each time it does so. Seeing this, all of the pokémon start to back up nervously.

Concordia and Anthea still have not regained consciousness, and the attention of Max, Brock, and Yami Benjy is drawn by the gigantic Team Rocket mecha.
Brock: What the (bleep) is that?!
Yami Benjy: Looks like Team Rocket…
Max: Team Rocket built something like that?!
Yami Benjy: I thought I heard them doing their little rhyme earlier.
QST.camera shifts across to the other side of the wall into the Obelisk mecha’s head where Meowth is at the controls.
Meowth: Now hold still!
The camera leaves the mecha’s head shortly after Meowth sets the machine’s arm into motion, just in time for it to attempt to grab the Ivysaur that May is not riding, which dodges out of the way just in time. As the Pokémon start to run to both sides, Jessie’s voice comes on the loudspeaker telling the pokémon that they’re trapped and running is pointless.
The machine then continues to chase after a group of the pokémon leaving Ash and Pikachu behind as the machine chases after the group with the Ivysaur carrying May. Ash now rushes towards the machine.
Ash: Pikachu, thunderbolt!
Pikachu obliges, hitting the machine with a gigantic electric attack, lighting up the entire side of the machine, however this does nothing, and Team Rocket reveals that their machine is grounded, as well as every other machine that they’ll ever make. Meowth then says some corporate @<tagline> for the company that they got the grounding from.
The machine then suddenly tries to grab Pikachu, but misses again, forcing Ash and Pikachu to run, dodging the machine’s attacks as May calls out to them from up ahead.
James.Megaphone: You can run, but you can’t hide!
Jessie.Megaphone: Come out, come out, wherever you are.
The machine now lumbers after May and the other pokémon, leaving Ash and Pikachu alone, and leaving them to chase after it to try and stop it.
Ash: For some reason, I get the feeling that this was just waiting to happen…
Ash: Pikachu, iron tail!
Pikachu’s iron tail does absolutely nothing to the machine.
Meowth.Megaphone: We were going to save the best for last, but if you insist–
James.Megaphone: We’ll take it right now!
Instead of turning around, the machine shoots a rubber glove out of it’s backside that almost grabs Pikachu. Pikachu however is fast enough to dodge all of them, but Ash is not, and is grabbed by the hands. Jessie now taunts Pikachu to get it’s trainer back sending more of the hands after Pikachu. Ash tells Pikachu to run and it disappears into the undergrowth.
At this point Meowth announces that it got something, and the machine tosses a Bayleef into it’s backpack. After this, it grabs a Parasect, and then a handful of various smaller pokémon, and prepares to throw them into it’s backpack.
Max: Jirachi, psychic!
Psychic hits the machine’s arm, but does nothing to stop the machine from throwing the pokémon in the back. The camera synchronizes with Ash’s vision as looks down over the wall to see Benjy, Max, and Brock preparing to attack the machine. Behind them, Concordia and Anthea are tied up by a rope.
Ash: Max!
Max: Ash!
Brock: Wait… How the zark did it shrug off a psychic attack?!
James.Megaphone: Simple. We build our Obelisk-bot out of mithril.
Meowth.Megaphone: It’s invincible!
Brock: Mithril…
Max: Where’s May?!
The camera now de-synchronizes with Ash’s vision, zooming out a little bit past him, showing Ash trying to break free of the machine’s many hands.
Ash: Ugh… Skarmory was hit with a missile or something and dropped her. The pokémon that live her were–ah!
Ash is jerked as the machine grabs another handful of pokémon, throwing them in its trunk.
Ash: Taking care of–
Ash is cut off by a scream, as May, Ivysaur, Roserade, et cetera are lifted into the air. Max cries out in hysterics.
Max: May?!
Yami Benjy: (bleep) it.
With a burst of energy, Yami Benjy charges towards the wall despite a screech from Concordia that he’s not allowed in. Yami Benjy lands on the wall and runs directly up the wall, jumping from the edge of it towards the arm of Team Rocket’s Obelisk-bot carrying May, whom is too freaked out to notice this. With a pulse of light from the MGBA, Yami Benjy equips his blade-mittens and performs several slashes on the arm of the machine, but is forced to jump off the arm away onto the branch of a large nearby tree as his attacks do nothing. The Obelisk-bot then deposits May and the pokémon into it’s backpack.
Benjy: How did they…?
Yami Benjy: Mithril has some odd properties. It’s completely unheard of, but it might be possible that their determination is strengthening that robot.
Benjy: You kidding me?
As the Obelisk-bot goes in to scoop up more pokémon, Yami Benjy leaps from the tree and lands on it’s neck. Once again, Yami Benjy slashes at the robot several times, nearly too fast to see, but this does practically nothing, only succeeding in scraping the metal slightly. As the Obelisk-bot stands up to throw the pokémon in it’s backside, Yami Benjy is ejected.

Inside the Obelisk-bot, James recalls how it’s been two years since they’ve had a plan work this well.

Yami Benjy lands on the ground behind the robot, and moments later Ash lands too, along with cut-up pieces of the robot’s mini arms that came out of it’s backside.
Ash: What are we going to do about them?
Yami Benjy answers not with words, but by attempting to stab the nearest leg of the Obelisk-bot with the tip of his mitten. The blade-mitten fails to pierce the machine and instead appears to short out the Millennium Gameboy Advance, leaving Benjy in a dizzy state.
Ash puts his hand to his mouth in surprise.
Benjy: Maybe my presence in this world has sped up Team Rocket’s evolution…
Ash and Benjy continue to stare at the machine.
Benjy: But why… I don’t know, and we can’t give in…
Ash: Benjy–
Benjy: Shroomish! Shadow rush N-O-W!
Benjy hurls Shroomish’s snag ball at the Obelisk-bot, and the ball only opens when it smacks into the Obelisk-bot. Shroomish launches out of it’s ball at the Obelisk-bot, but this seems to do nothing.
Ash: That’s not going to do anything…
Benjy: It’ll keep them occupied…
The Obelisk-bot deposits another handful of pokémon.
Ash: I don’t think it’s only doing that.
Brock: Ash! Benjy! Look out!
Ash and Benjy jump aside as the robot staggers backwards, the pokémon inside it’s backpack causing it to become slightly unbalanced.
Benjy: Or maybe it’s got a really stupid weakness, like…
Benjy: Ash, we need to get in front! Come on!
Ash: But why?
Benjy: It think can be knocked over, quickly!
Ash and Benjy now take off running making a large circle around the robot. Shroomish is more than willing to follow Benjy without further encouragement.
Cutscene() {
The camera synchronizes with Shroomish’s vision as it follows it’s trainer. Shadows at the edges of the screen get less dark as it runs.
}
As Benjy runs he looks over his shoulder at the Obelisk-bot and what’s around it.
Benjy: Got to knock it over and to the side…
Benjy: Ash, we’re going to knock it over.
Ash: But won’t it fall on the pokémon… And May isn’t–
Benjy: Not if we hit the right spot. Grab it’s attention when I say too. Shroomish!
Benjy and Ash have now completed their path and are facing the robot.
Benjy: Now!
Benjy and Ash now emerge from the forest in front of the robot.
Benjy: Shroomish, now!
Shroomish hurdles from the undergrowth, straight towards Benjy.
Benjy: Shadow rush on that machine!
Shroomish now slams into Benjy, using his person to change the direction and shoot straight towards the Obelisk-bot, knocking Benjy down in the process.
Ash: Pikachu, volt tackle!
Pikachu now launches out of the undergrowth, joining Shroomish in a joint rush on the Obelisk-bot.
Benjy: Make sure it trips on the tree!!!
As Pikachu and Shroomish get closer to each other, their attacks seem to merge into a single ball of shadowy electricity. At the same time Team Rocket’s Obelisk-bot extracts a Venusaur from the forest and prepares to deposit it in the back of the already unstable machine.
As the mechanical arm’s movement causes the machine’s weight to shift, Pikachu and Shroomish collide with the machine’s front (which knocks out both pokémon); causing it to stumble backwards, dropping the Venusaur and stepping over it as Team Rocket panic to prevent the machine from falling over.
The Obelisk-bot stumbles backwards, missing the tree, but as it does so it steps in a pond with it’s other foot, setting the machine further off balance. Watching this, Ash gasps and Benjy grits his teeth.
New Scene()
Seeing the machine lurching backward, Max exclaims that they did it, but Brock exclaims that if it falls on it’s back, it’s going to crush the pokémon.
Revert Scene()
As Ash and Benjy watch the machine stumble backwards, taking out much of the forest as it does, the machine finally manages to unstick its leg, but in the doing so causes the machine to lean heavily to the side. In the Obelisk-bot’s head, Meowth struggles to regain balance. But it’s too late, the machine has tilted by so much that as soon as Meowth puts the leg down (behind the machine), the leg snaps off completely, with the robot now falling in a sideways direction.
Revert Scene()
Max, Brock, Concordia, and Anthea scream as the machine casts a shadow on them about to fall. Brock rushes towards the tree to untie Concordia, and Anthea, but it’s now too late, as Team Rocket’s screams from the cabin can be heard. Brock looks up as he struggles with the knot, but suddenly all four of them are teleported away.
New Scene()
The camera shows an angled arial view of the Obelisk-bot coming crashing down on the wall, crushing the later.
Ash (off-camera): May!
Some soft snapping sound is now heard, and the entire Obelisk-bot explodes in a massive fireball that billows outwards, shooting Team Rocket into the sky.
Refocus Camera()
Ash and Benjy stare at the explosion, and then run towards the machine as soon as the blast has cleared.
Ash: No way… They can’t b–
Ash is cut off mid syllable as vines emerge from the wreckage. With a loud *bang*, Venusaur rams through the metal, followed by another Venusaur, this one carry May on it’s back.
May: I think I’m going to throw up…
New Scene(@Temporal = Dusk)
Ash and company (all reunited) stare at the wreckage of the preserve with various members of Team Plasma and Concordia and Anthea, both of whom are crying. Pokémon are now making their way out of the preserve.
Anthea: You said they t-took care of you?
May nods.
Max: Don’t say "I told you so;" don’t say "I told you so…"
Concordia: After all that work we put in to make a refuge for them…
The Millennium Gameboy Advance glows slightly.
Yami Benjy: I don’t know why, but Pokémon and humans are meant to be together.
Concordia: But people can–
Concordia can’t finish talking as she continues sobbing.
Brock: You don’t realize it, but you’ve restored their faith in humanity.
Anthea now stops crying, and Concordia tries her best to stop herself.
Brock: Through what you did, you taught them that there are good humans out there. They’ve stopped dwelling on the past, and they now want to go out and see the world. That wall may have provided them safety, but it was at the expense of their freedom.
Anthea: Just go…
Brock: They’ve left the past behind them, and they’re ready to move toward the future.
Yami Benjy glances down at Concordia and Anthea, and gently places his hand around Brock’s wrist.
Yami Benjy: Brock, I think we should…
Refresh Scene()
The members of Team Plasma stare at Ash and company as they leave, silhouetted by the setting sun. Pikachu is riding on Ash’s shoulder and Shroomish is riding on Benjy’s.
New Scene()
Concordia and Anthea walk towards their tent, when Satolite zips by overhead, causing Anthea to mistake it for a shooting star and point it out to Concordia. As they continue walking back to their tent, they see in the darkness a floating humanoid with large ears that jut outwards waiting for them. His face is soon illuminated by Anthea’s lantern light.
Humanoid: I tried to tell ya, but you just wouldn’t listen.
Concordia: Where were you today?!
Humanoid: I was, you know, around…
Anthea: Dren. Just go…
Humanoid → Dren: Whatever you say, princess…
With this, the humanoid zips off into the night.
