Narrator: Previously on Trigamon, our allies made it out of the caves to find that the hot springs are overflowing.
Ash and company with Scooby and Shaggy emerge from the caves in a field below the hot springs, which is now flooded.

Narrator: And once the rescue was completed, they discovered the cause was:
In the Team Aqua warehouse, Velma is scanning the machine that takes up over 90% of the warehouse wall, the others present gather around her and the machine, leaving her enough room to move around.
Benjy: It’s not going to erupt. It’s going to explode.
Refresh(THIS)
Narrator: And when our allies got back to Lavaridge, they were faced with an unpleasant reality:
A man with a pitchfork and a woman with a shovel are running towards the group.
Man: Team Aqua’s advancing from the north west!
Woman: And Team Magma’s coming from the eas–!
The woman is cut off as a geyser bursts from the ground nearby.
Archie’s voice: That’s interesting.
Everyone turns as Archie emerges from the steam, four grunts lined up behind him
Maxie’s voice: Indeed.
Maxie also emerges from the steam on the other side, with four grunts behind him.
Max: This is bad!
Scooby: Rery rery rad!
Refresh(THIS)
Rescue Group, Max, Flannery, Satolite, and all the pokémon, come to a screeching halt at the start of a flooded neighborhood (and Benjy, Ash, and May start recalling their creatures). In the distance, nearly fifty silhouettes are slowly making their way towards them.
Narrator: And finally, there’s no where to run, or is there?
Scooby: Rit’s the Radows of Reath!
After two tense seconds, the light hits these silhouettes revealing dozens of Magical Mushroom Girls. All are wielding weapons and look rather upset.
May: You know, they’re not that cute when they’re this angry…

With about five townspeople, Rescue Group, Max, and Flannery are slowly backed into the center of town near a flooded fountain by the Magical Mushroom Girls advancing. One of the townspeople mutters something about not having a competent gym leader, but Benjy tells him to keep his thoughts to himself.
Underneath them, the ground rumbles.
Velma: Do you have any plan?
Benjy: Celebi doesn’t have enough energy for a time warp for all of us.
Benjy looks down at the Millennium Gameboy Advance.
Benjy: I just need him to wake up so I can get the incantation for morning’s end.
Velma: Well, we don’t have much time!
The ground under the group starts to shake, and Team Aqua grunts and Team Magma grunts start to close in on the town center, with the Team Aqua grunts looking more confident than their Team Magma counterparts. A pair of Team Aqua grunts call on Carvanha, and have them target the Team Magma grunts.
Shelly: Sharpedo!
Mike: Shiftry!
Shelly: Hydro pump!
Mike: Solarbeam!
Shelly: You’re attack will never reach in time!
Mike: It’s called a power herb!
Shelly: Backup!
Mike: Backup!
Dozens of grunts come to their admins defense with Poochyenas and Mightyenas for Team Magma and Poochyenas and Lombre for Team Aqua. The Poochyenas and Mightyenas on both sides charge shadow balls while the Lombre gather water. To the south, the Magical Mushroom Girls are charging magic.
Shelly: Charge!
Mike: Charge!
Romeae: Charge!
All three sides suddenly rush into battle, straight towards the fountain. Leaving Rescue Group, Max, Flannery, and the townspeople all trapped in the middle of the city. Suddenly the ground rumbles, and the fountain explodes, spewing water and chunks of the fountain into the sky. The force of this blast knocks down all those near it.

QST.camera moves throughout the forests of Mt. Chimney where both teams are still fighting with each other and the Magical Mushroom Girls, except now all are looking heavily injured and Mount Chimney is shaking.
Yuka: Sound the alarm! Retreat!
As some of the Magical Mushroom Girls retreat, members of Team Aqua send Poochyena and Carvanha after them, which ticks Yuka off enough to hurl a blast of energy at one of the Team Aqua grunts, severely burning his leg. QST.camera now moves away from this, up the mountainside where water and steam are forcing their way out of Mount Chimney, blowing rocks into the sky with them.

Michelle and Shelgon are walking through the forest, where they suddenly notice that their feet are wet.
Michelle: This is odd…
Shelgon: Shel! Shelgon!
Mount Chimney can be seen to be visibly moving from where Michelle is standing. Suddenly, high on Mount Chimney something explodes.
Michelle: What the–
Before Michelle can react, a rock comes flying at her over the trees straight for her. Before she can dodge it, Shelgon zips in front of her, breaking the rock on it’s thick forehead.
Michelle: Shelgon come on, we have to get out of–
Shelgon grunts and Michelle turns her gaze to where it’s looking.
Michelle: Oh no…

Rescue Group, Max, Flannery, and the villagers, make a break for it straight north through the fountain as the attacks collide behind them and explode in a giant blast which throws debris high into the air. Fred has picked up Benjy again, but Benjy slides off of Fred’s back and onto the ground where he is miraculously able to keep up with everyone else, running northwards towards Mount Chimney. The Millennium Gameboy Advance swings on it’s chain around his neck, then suddenly powers on.
Benjy promptly crashes into Daphne as everyone stops running. Benjy backs up to see Mount Chimney shaking.
Scooby: Roh no!
Rocks dislodged by the shaking are now tumbling down Mount Chimney’s slopes, some are headed straight for the group.
Yami Benjy: Benjy!
Benjy: Yami!
Yami Benjy: The incantation you want is–
Yami Benjy finds himself speechless as the shaking intensifies, knocking everyone off of their feet, and allowing them to see the giant rock tumbling towards them, about two second from impact. May screams, and QST.camera synchronizes with Benjy’s vision.
Benjy: Yami! Shield!
Yami Benjy: I–
QST.camera goes black as Benjy shuts his eyes, and stays like this for four seconds (real time). Slowly, Benjy opens his eyes, he sees that the rock has stopped falling, still about three feet off the ground, and held in place by a mysterious light. QST.camera quickly de-synchronizes with Benjy’s vision.
Yami Benjy: If you want to call this a dream, go right ahead.
Benjy: You didn’t do anything?
Yami Benjy: M-m.
Slowly, the light intensifies slightly, dissolving the rock. The ground has stopped shaking.

Up ahead (southward) of the group, Archie and Maxie and their supporters recoil at this light.
Maxie: What’s going on?
Archie: WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?!
Many Poochyena turn tail and flee from the light, and those that don’t yelp in pain. QST.camera zooms out as a single Magical Mushroom Girl descends from the sky with purple hair and a wearing a yellow dress. She carries a giant yellow staff and has large white angel-esque wings protruding from her back. She descends slowly and gracefully, for a full two seconds before her yellow ballerina-slippers touch the ground.
Maxie: Who are you?
This Magical Mushroom Girl now opens her eyes.
Magical Mushroom Girl → Miyuki: I am the prime minister of the Magical Mushroom Girls, Miyuki Takanomi.
Archie: What are you trying to achieve?!
Miyuki: If god is the game you are playing, then we have to get more aquatinted.

Miyuki now looks up to see that Ash, May, Max, Benjy, Flannery, Scooby, Velma, Fred, and Daphne are all watching her, but standing far back.
Archie: I don’t care who you are! This is Team Aqua’s project!
Miyuki: Fool.
Maxie turns to one of his grunts and whispers something.
Miyuki: And don’t think that I’m blind to Team Magma’s shenanigans either.
Archie: Then get out of here!
Miyuki shakes her head.
Miyuki: I cannot allow you to continue hurting my friends.
Archie: If you don’t leave, we’ll make you leave!
QST.camera now zooms in on Team Magma.
Tachibitha: We’re retreating?
Maxie: She’s way too strong.
Tachibitha: But Gr…
Maxie: We’ll come back for it later.
Archie: It looks like Team Magma got spooked. The cowards! I, Archie of Team Aqua shall be your opponent!
Archie pulls a poké ball from his belt and presses the button to make it bigger.
Archie: Gyarados! Hydro pump!
Gyarados appears in a flash of red light, and shoots a powerful stream of water at Miyuki, who appears to deflect it effortlessly.
Archie: Aqua tail!
Archie’s Gyarados roars, and attempts to strike Miyuki with an aqua tail, but Miyuki blocks it effortlessly as well.
Miyuki: I see.
Miyuki turns and points her staff at Archie.
Miyuki: Mortal, it is spoken that he who has touched the sun shall be cleansed, and there shall be peace.

Suddenly, strange circles of light, full of symbols begin to gather in the air around Miyuki.
Miyuki: The mountain behind me is about to blow. Lives are about to be lost. Your project cannot be allowed to happen.
Archie: And you think you’re going to stop the mighty Team Aqua from expanding the sea?
Miyuki: I do.
Archie: Teach her a lesson! Gyarados! Shadow rush!
Archie’s Gyarados appears to take in shadows, then charges Miyuki, but crashes into another of Miyuki’s barriers. More light begins to fill the air.

In the forest north of Mount Chimney, Michelle, Shelgon, Sapphirium, and an Agapanthür are watching the light in the sky. The Agapanthür shivers, swishing it’s tail from side to side.
Michelle: What the (bleep) is going on over there…
Shelgon paws at the ground, but the two Trigamon stay silent, as if they’re frozen.

Professor Cosmo is in his observatory, staring at the Millennium Comet when his daughter, Emily, quickly rushes in.
Emily: Father quickly!
Professor Cosmo looks up, but not urgently.
Prof. Cosmo: Is the house on fire again?
Emily shakes her head.
Emily: Point your telescope at Mount Chimney!
Prof. Cosmo: Why?
Emily: Something big is going on!
Prof. Cosmo: Something big you say?
Emily: Quickly! There’s all this light in the sky.
Professor Cosmo sighs.
Prof. Cosmo: Oh, all right.
Professor Cosmo sits back in his chair, and pushes a button, causing the telescope to turn around. Professor Cosmo then stands up to re-adjust the telescope angle, and adjusts it, then peers into it to check, and then repeats this twice, after which Professor Cosmo blinks twice as he stares into the telescope.
Prof. Cosmo: What the–
Emily: Do you see it?
Prof. Cosmo: Yes, I–
Emily: Let me see!
Emily rushes around to where her father is, and both peer into the telescope. QST.camera now synchronizes with what’s visible through the telescope: the magic circles floating around Mount Chimney.
Emily: What is it?
Prof. Cosmo: I don’t know.
Emily: You think they brought the Flames to Fenyra?
Prof. Cosmo: Highly unlikely.
Emily: But what else could it be?
Prof. Cosmo: No idea.
Emily: But then it has to be…
Prof. Cosmo: No it doesn’t. It’s not the Flames of Lorin.
Emily: But you said you had no idea, and I do!
Prof. Cosmo: Emily, I thought I raised you better than this. If those kids are behind this, then maybe they’re probably trying to jump through hyperspace.
Emily: They’re trying to–
Prof. Cosmo: Emily! It’s probably not related!
QST.camera de-synchronizes with what is visible through the telescope.
Prof. Cosmo: Though it is strange. I sure hope it’s not some cult…

Drew is in the forest, and has stopped to stare at the rings around Mount Chimney. His Roselia clings to his leg, scared.
Drew: How did they get there?!
Drew: Wait…
Drew: Unless it’s not them… But I don’t know who else could…
A strange shiver suddenly goes through Drew’s body.
Drew: Let’s take cover.
Roselia shows no objection to this as they both move into the undergrowth.

Wattson in his gym in Mauville is staring up at Mount Chimney through a telescope.
Wattson: Coal’s up to something big this time. I wonder what that boy got himself into…

Grace and her Medicham are staring up at Mount Chimney from Route 114, confused and concerned.
Medicham: Cham?
Grace: Get ready to take cover.
Medicham nods.

Archie and Team Aqua face off against Miyuki, while everyone else watches from their hiding places. Archie suddenly recalls Gyarados.
Archie: You’re really asking for it, kid.
Archie pulls out a larger, darker poké ball and pushes the button to make it bigger. The ahoge on Miyuki’s head twitches wildly as he does.
Miyuki: You still fail to realize…
Archie: You’re the one preventing me from realizing my dreams!
Archie bends his arm backwards to throw the poké ball, and at the same time, Miyuki’s hands glow with light.
Archie: You don’t know what you’re messing w–
Miyuki: …Mushroom Law…
QST.camera goes into split-screen on Ash, May, Max, Benjy, Scooby, Velma, Flannery, Fred, and Daphne for one second (real time); after which Archie appears in the middle of the split-screen.
Archie: Don’t go messing with my head, kid.
Miyuki now appears next to Archie on the split-screen, her entire body glowing with light so bright that it completely obscures her eyes, making Miyuki look like an angel. Slowly, the frames containing Archie and Miyuki expand, pushing everyone else off the screen.
Miyuki: This whole time, I’ve been holding back this mountain to keep it from exploding and killing us all. Do you now understand?
Archie: Do you understand?! You’re messing with the great dreams of Team Aqua!
Miyuki: As I said. You have now touched the sun. Now be cleansed!
Archie: Just what–
Archie is cut off.
Miyuki: It’s Mushroom Law!
The light appears to explode out of Miyuki’s hands, obscuring everything in the vicinity. Those hiding squint, then quickly cover their eyes dropping to the ground.
May: What’s going on!?
Fred: I have no zarking idea!

Eight circles of magical light have surrounded Mount Chimney, and as they rotate, slowly make the outline of a mushroom. Without warning, portals open up in the air around the mountain, and water pours out of these portals, in waterfalls through the sky. QST.camera now shifts downwards to where Michelle is walking.
Michelle: …
Her Agapanthür is now trembling, but Shelgon seems curious.
Michelle: …Hoopa…

On a ship at sea, Vito stares at Mount Chimney, shining in the distance. The ship is about 50 feet across and 200 feet from front to back. As Vito stares, Mount Chimney’s glow intensifies, and Vito has to shield his eyes, and then has to turn away as the light becomes too intense to look at.
Vito: Mr Briney!
No one responds to Vito’s call, so Vito walks towards the front of the ship, carefully shielding his eyes from Mount Chimney’s glare.

Mr. Briney is in the ship’s cabin, a small room of about 36 square feet. On the left side of the cabin, where the door is, Mr. Briney has taped magazines to the door’s window to block some of the glare. The ship lurches and the magazines flap slightly, then a knock occurs on the door.
Vito: Mr Briney!
Mr. Briney: Captain Briney to you!
Vito: Captain Briney! Please let me in!
Mr. Briney looks up, then opens the door a crack. Light suddenly floods the cabin, but just for a brief moment before Vito is able to enter the room and close the door behind him.
Mr. Briney: Heavens to Murgatroyd! What is that light?!
Vito: That’s what I was going to tell you, Mr um Captain Briney. Mount Chimney’s glowing!
Mr. Briney: That’s Mount Chimney?!
Vito: Yeah, it just started…
Mr. Briney: If that’s Mount Chimney…
Vito: Um…
Mr. Briney: It’s going to be a nightmare getting to Oceangate. Think I could drop you off further up the coast.
Vito: You mean North Aquaridge?
Mr. Briney: Unless that light lets up soon, I’m going to have to change course to Starblade.
QST.camera now zooms out of the cabin being careful not to point into the light. Backing up towards the light, a large wave rocks the ship.

QST.camera, heavily dimmed is pointing at Mount Chimney. Illuminated by the light, water is shooting out of the portals making giant rivers through the air. As the water rushes though the air on an invisible riverbed, the streams merge into a single river that heads straight to the sea, eventually emptying the water from inside Mount Chimney. Then, suddenly, a chorus of explosion reverberate along the slopes of Mount Chimney, but what’s exploding can’t be seen since it’s obscured by the light. The light now slowly starts to fade.

Ash and company (minus Brock) are lying in the grass with Flannery, Scooby, Velma, Daphne, Fred, and a couple of the villagers. The light has mostly faded, and May slowly gets the courage to look up. QST.camera synchronizes with her vision as she stares at Miyuki. Miyuki seems completely unfazed by the event and QST.camera de-synchronizes with May’s vision to zoom in on Miyuki and Archie.
Miyuki turns towards Archie, who is standing frozen, nearly petrified, as are all of the other members of Team Aqua behind him. The two ahoge on Miyuki’s head twitch as she examines Archie, who is completely still aside from slight breathing. Miyuki walks up to him to check this, and quickly confirms that Archie is still alive, then proceeds to poke him gently, with one finger, so that Archie falls over into the grass. As if by ripple effect from the vibrations, the rest of Team Aqua collapses to the ground, kicking up a large cloud of dust. Footsteps now echo behind Miyuki.
Julianna: Yo. Think you might have overdone it?
Miyuki: Um… Maybe… But I did give him lots and lots of warnings and…
A boy of about Ash’s age, dressed in similar clothing to the magical mushroom girls with bell-bottoms instead of a skirt now walks up to Miyuki.
Boy: Don’t fret it. The lot of them are dumb as rock water.
Julianna: Hey Tyler, that’s pretty (bleep) dumb.
Suddenly, Miyuki, Tyler, and Julianna all flinch as Archie tries to get up. However, Archie only gets a few inches off of the ground, before collapsing back to the ground with a tiny cloud of dust.
Archie: What in Infernus are you?
After saying this, Archie promptly passes out. The wind rustles gently through Miyuki’s hair.
Miyuki: And so it is written… And so there is peace.

In the afternoon sunlight, Ash slowly gets up where everyone had taken cover to avoid the light of mushroom law. The others get up after him.
Ash: This is odd, our clothes are dry…
Velma: And our injuries are healed too.
Max: Not Benjy’s…
Benjy opens an eye slightly upon hearing his name. Around him, everyone else is getting to their feet. May checks herself for injuries, and finding none turns her attention to Benjy, who has not sustained any new injuries, but has not been healed from the damage he took earlier in the day.
May: Huh? Th-that’s really weird…
Fred: I’ll say…
Benjy now starts to get to his knees, despite the cuts and bruises, groaning as he does.
Ash: Benjy! Why weren’t you healed too?
Benjy says nothing as he tries to get to his feet, but Ash and May have to help him.
Benjy: How should I know? Sorry, I don’t know. (defeated)
Benjy: The real question should be why were you guys healed.
Fred: I think it had something to do with that light.
Benjy: No. I mean… Nevermind…
Daphne: Well we’ve got to get you to the pokémon center.
Ash: If it’s functioning.
Flannery: Even if it’s not, there’s got to be something there we can use.

QST.camera sweeps through Lavaridge to show the extensive water damage done to the town by the flood. Gardens have been washed away, trees have been uprooted, and some houses have even collapsed. QST.camera now makes a U-turn and moves back over the town towards the pokémon center, which has sustained a great deal of water damage, as can be seen by the automatic doors stuck halfway open. All those from the previous scene see this as they approach.
Ash: Maybe it’s isn’t working…
At this time Nurse Joy emerges from around the back of the building.
Nurse Joy: I’m sorry children, but the building isn’t safe to enter right n…oh my!
At this point, Benjy gestures for Velma and May to let go of him, and sits down on the ground, panting.
Nurse Joy: What happened?!
Ash: A lot of things…
Max: Hold on, do you know where Brock and Shaggy are?
Nurse Joy: There’s a teenage boy in the medical unit… I think they took him to the geology museum when the center flooded.
May: A museum?
Nurse Joy: Yeah, it’s on higher ground, so…
Max: Interesting.
Nurse Joy: They have a small medical center there for if people get injured excavating rocks.
Fred: Has that been a problem…?
Nurse Joy begins to nod.
May: Well that’s enough excitement for one day. We can now properly enjoy the hot springs!
Max: Well, I’ve had enough water for one day.
May: Spoil-sport.
Ash: And remember, Benjy doesn’t have any swimwear. Benjy…?
Ash looks down to see Benjy lying on the grass, sprawled out and asleep. QST.camera now synchronizes with Benjy’s field of vision, which is initially almost black, until Benjy opens his eyes, and sees, Ash, May, and Max staring down at him. Scooby sniffs him curiously.

Benjy and Bayleef are both lying on a patch of grass at the edge of the hot springs, (literally at the edge, Benjy is about 8 inches away from the water); while Bayleef is a little further down and a couple feet farther inland. Benjy’s chest is heavily bandaged, and he’s lying on his side facing the water. Bayleef looks like he’s not feeling well, as he’s a bit green (instead of yellow) and his leaf is wilted.
Benjy scoots backwards a little bit, being careful not to injure himself further, and then bubbles start to come up from the hot springs. About one second later, Ash emerges from the water.
Ash: Ohh…
Ash now turns towards Benjy.
Ash: You feeling okay?
Benjy nods weakly as Pikachu walks up to where Benjy is resting his head. The water now starts to bubble again, and a split-second later May surfaces.
May: There, I win.
May now also turns her attention to Benjy.
May: Oh…
Benjy lets out a long sigh.
Benjy: So the light only healed certain people it seems.
Ash: Yeah, but everyone else was affected. Those that didn’t get healed got hurt.
May: Now that I think about it, what was that light anyway?
Benjy: Powerful magic.
Ash: How do you…?
May: Know that…?
Benjy: Just an educated guess. But any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic.
Ash and May both seem to ponder this, and Benjy yawns.
Benjy: I doubt they call them ‘magical mushroom girls’ because of the mushrooms hallucinogenic properties.
Pikachu: Pika-chu?
May: Well, I can’t deny there are things people call magic.
This comment has now Ash focusing more on May.
May: You know. The stuff they do with runes.
Ash: The symbols?
May: No, I mean the stones.
A question mark rises off Ash’s head, and Flannery’s voice echoes across the springs:
Flannery’s voice: Hey you guys?
Ash, May, and Benjy look up to see Flannery approaching with her hair down, and wearing a pink two-piece swimsuit that looks like it’s a size too small.
Ash: Oh, what’s up?
Flannery: Benjy, how ya feeling?
Benjy smiles slightly.
Benjy: I’m fine.
Flannery: Well, you look like you’re in pain.
Benjy: Interesting…
Benjy gazes up at Flannery, and shivers slightly.
Benjy: T-this is hard to say but… I guess I’m just happy to still be alive.
Flannery: Whaddya mean?
May: What are you talking about?
Benjy: Don’t you remember? Mount Chimney was close to exploding.
Ash and May flinch hearing this, despite Benjy’s relaxed tone.
Flannery: You mean it was going to erupt?
Benjy shakes his head.
Benjy: No I mean it was like this:

A 2D cut-away diagram is shown of Mount Chimney, full of magma.
Benjy.Narration: Here we have Mount Chimney, full of magma. Now remember that Team Aqua was pumping it full of water.
Water is shown being slowly pumped into the diagram of Mount Chimney as Benjy speaks the following line:
Benjy.Narration: Team Aqua thought that the water will displace the magma, but what would have really happened is the water would’ve just sat on top of the magma. The lava is denser you see;
The water in the diagram of Mount Chimney starts to boil, and continues boiling as Benjy talks:
Benjy.Narration: The lava would heat the water, and cause it to boil. With the temperature increasing, it would then put increased pressure on the inside of Mount Chimney, causing it to crumble, if not explode outright.
Revert Scene()
Flannery stares down at Benjy, looking a bit woozy.
Benjy: So, if you’re wondering. I guess that’s why I’m not…
Benjy trails off, staring up at Flannery nervously. Above him, Flannery is shaking.
Ash: Flannery?
Max’s Voice: Are you…
May: Benjy–
Benjy: I thought she knew–
Flannery: Curses! How is this even possible?! Our lives…
Suddenly, a tear drop falls from Flannery’s left eye as she faces northwards over the hot spring. One second later Flannery collapses to her knees. Ash, May, Max, and Benjy watch her carefully, all unsure what to do.
May: Flannery…
Flannery: We almost died… And I couldn’t do anything…
Flannery strikes the ground with her fist in frustration. Benjy swallows, searching for the right words.
Flannery: Grandpa will never…
Flannery hesitates…
Flannery: …forgive me…
Flannery: For what it’s worth, when he gets back he’ll probably take the gym back.
Flannery starts to tip forwards, and then suddenly falls head-first into the water, which is sufficient force to knock off her swimsuit top. (Ash, May, Max, and Benjy are more surprised by Flannery’s fall than her losing her swimsuit top). Bubbles emerge from the water immediately and Flannery surfaces momentarily afterwards, with only the very top of her chest showing. Max hands Flannery back her swimsuit top and Flannery puts it back on.
Flannery: …And you guys save me again… Honestly, you’d probably be better suited to running the gym than me.
Benjy: I don’t think so.
Benjy now rolls onto his stomach to face Flannery and Max.
Flannery: You did save the town though.
Max: Yeah, I guess we did…
Flannery lets out a sigh.
May: But we aren’t just one person! Flannery, you–
May trails off, unsure of what to say.
Benjy: But to give credit where credit is due, we didn’t really do anything.
Max: What do you mean?
Benjy: We didn’t stop Mount Chimney from exploding. That was…that light.
May: Y-yeah. Flannery, you’re practically one of us!
Ash: The magical mushroom girls… They’re the ones who really saved us.
Velma’s voice: However, that was only because somebody told them to get their prime minister when they did.
QST.camera turns to show Velma approaching from the south, wearing standard clothes.
Ash: Wait, I thought you guys were going to "high-tail it out of here"…
Velma: Well Shaggy’s had his head in the clouds for the last few hours, and there’s nothing like a good scare to work up Scooby’s appetite. They decided to check out what’s left of the farmer’s market.
Max: So what are you doing here?
Velma: Trying to get a clear picture of what went on between Archie and that magical girl. It’s not easy, but I’ve discovered that she didn’t exactly put everything in reverse as I first thought. It’s completely bizarre.
May: So what have you discovered?
Velma: Well, the light appears to have stabilized the rock, but the rock that Team Aqua displaced wasn’t all returned. There’s now a big cave above the hot springs, but for some reason it looks like it’s always been there.
Velma gestures to somewhere north-east of them. Bayleef’s tail twitches on the ground, and he lets out a soft yawn.
Flannery: Grandpa’s still going to be upset with me.
Velma: No he’s not. Or at least he’d better not be.
Velma looks off into the distance towards the cave in the cliff.
Velma: There isn’t anything he could’ve done that would’ve made the slightest bit of difference. Father nature is better than anyone else at fixing himself.
Max: But it was the magical mushroom girls that–
Velma: I consider them a part of nature.
Velma looks down towards Benjy.
Velma: We only won because you told them to get their prime minister. Don’t forget that.
New Scene()
Bandaged, Archie lies in a hospital bed with Shelly and various Team Aqua Grunts at his side. QST.camera is slowly moving up and down, and a whizzing noise is in the background, indicative of them being in a helicopter.
Archie: Sh-shelly. What happened…
All eyes suddenly turn to Archie.
Shelly: Sir!
Archie: What happened?
Shelly: You need to relax sir! You’ve taken a lot of damage…
Archie: Shelly…
Shelly: We’re still trying to figure it out. The energy readings we’ve taken are completely nonsensical. At this point, it may as well have been black magic.
Archie: Darn it. And we were so close too. If not for those meddling kids–
Another female Team Aqua Admin approaches Archie’s bedside.
Admin: Shelly’s right. Archie, you need rest. Let me and my team investigate what happened.
Archie: Fine. Ezza, I’ll leave the investigation to you.
Admin → Ezza: Thank you sir.
Ezza now walks off down the hall.
Narrator: And suddenly, a new member of Team Aqua appears; one that was never present in the pokémon show, or even in the games. Just what is she up to?
Ezza: Any sufficiently advanced magic is indistinguishable from science. I’ll continue to go along with the crazy dream you seem to share, but I’m out the minute you go too far. This world is already sixty percent water. I fail to see the point in adding more ocean to it.
QST.camera now zooms out of the building, which turns out to be a Team Aqua helicopter, flying high above the ocean north-west of Mount Chimney.
New Scene(@Temporal = Late Afternoon)
Ash, May, Max, Benjy, Flannery, and Velma all stare at a cave above the hot springs standing on the rock in front of it. Benjy leans on a walking stick.
May: Wow! It does look like its always been there…
Flannery: Yeah, things are growing in there…
Benjy: Unless some kind of artificial anima catalyzed their growth
Ash, May, and Max all look at Benjy and shiver.
Velma: Something the matter?
Ash shakes his head.
Benjy: We’ll figure out what to do about it tomorrow. There’s no way we’re going anywhere today.
New Scene()
Miyuki sits on a fallen log in the forest on the slope of Mount Chimney, wings folded neatly behind her.
Miyuki: Maxie, how long do you plan to observe me for?
QST.camera zooms into the bushes in front of Miyuki for about twenty feet, to where Maxie is observing her, with a Male grunt on his right and a female grunt on his left. The bushes are about 5 feet in front of Miyuki, so Maxie is about 25 feet away. Maxie doesn’t move an inch.
Maxie: Just what are you? You’re not an Icyene. That wasn’t Icyenic magic.
Maxie adjusts his binoculars and focuses them on Miyuki’s wings, at which point QST.camera synchronizes with Maxie’s field of vision through the binoculars:
Maxie: And unless my data is faulty, those aren’t Icyenic wings either.
Miyuki suddenly flaps her wings, and uses them to lift off of the log, landing on her feet, and then proceeds to stare straight at Maxie, and QST.camera. At this point, QST.camera desynchronizes with Maxie’s field of vision. Maxie puts the binoculars down. Miyuki yawns loudly.
Miyuki: I know you’re there.
Miyuki points in Maxie’s direction, and suddenly a gust of wind blows through the bushes, rustling them and blowing the hoods off the Team Magma grunts. As they quickly pull up their hoods, Maxie stands up, holding a device shaped like a pokéblock feeder but full of flashing lights in his left hand. Maxie’s finger is on a button.
Maxie: How do you do it?
Miyuki’s ahoges twitch, and Maxie holds his finger on the button nervously.
Maxie: How did you stop the…
Miyuki: I just reminded things what they were supposed to be. That’s all.
Maxie: So you aren’t going to give me a straight answer. But is it because you won’t or because you can’t?
Maxie: Hypothetically speaking, if someone were to dump a load of explosives into Mount Chimney to try and make it erupt, could you stop that?
The question seems to have taken Miyuki by surprise.
Miyuki: Um. Maybe…
Miyuki suddenly shivers.
Miyuki: Maxie, are you planning to–
Maxie: It’s all hypothetical. Team Magma doesn’t engage in that kind of reckless behavior.
Miyuki’s tone suddenly gets a bit more serious.
Miyuki: Really, Maxie. Because I’ve been keeping an eye on you.
Maxie: You have?
Miyuki extends a finger at Maxie.
Miyuki: I receive daily reports from Julianna and Skyler, I’ll have you know.
Maxie: And who are they?
Miyuki starts to say something, then cuts herself off, rethinking her words. About five seconds later, she finally replies.
Miyuki: I told you, I know.
Both Team Magma Grunts stare at Miyuki confused. Miyuki now reaches up and a staff appears in her hand.
Maxie: Well I don’t know what you’re referring to–
Miyuki cuts Maxie off.
Miyuki: Three nights ago in Ferina Canyon…
The two Team Magma grunts stare at Miyuki in shock and confusion.
Maxie: Go on…
Male Magma Grunt: What about Ferina?
Maxie motions for the grunt to be quiet, and the grunt stops talking. Miyuki turns to the grunt.
Miyuki: A necrocore was set off. By the time I got there everything was either dead or dying.
Miyuki’s voice suddenly fills with rage.
Miyuki: And the entire zarking cannon, I mean canyon, is covered in a supernatural rot!
Female Magma Grunt: Maxie?!
Maxie: Well this is the first time I’m hearing about this. (whisper)
Female Magma Grunt: Maxie, should we investigate? (whisper)
Maxie: We’ll wait until the Star Guard clear out. (whisper)
Miyuki: Don’t bother.
Maxie: Miyuki. We haven’t carried out any operations in Ferina Canyon. And I can assure you, our intentions are entirely benevolent. But what you’ve said has got me interested. I will check it out.
Miyuki looks at Maxie curiously, for about three seconds (real time).
Miyuki: Don’t go anywhere near that place if you value your life!
Both Team Magma grunts gasp, and Tabitha emerges out of the bushes behind them.
Miyuki: In case you didn’t hear me, I said that that Canyon is covered in a supernatural rot. And in case you don’t know what that means, it means you’ll die just from getting too close. You’ll contract gangrene and die within minutes. Then your soul will decay.
Miyuki now puts her staff down
Tabitha: What?
Maxie: She says that three nights ago somehow a supernatural rot was unleashed in Ferina Canyon, and she thinks it’s connected to us.
Miyuki: There were multiple eye-witness reports that there was an alchemic Groudon present. That’s the pokémon Team Magma’s trying to resurrect, is it not?
Tabitha grits her teeth.
Tabitha: How do you know that?!
Miyuki: Maybe this rings a bell. Requip!
Miyuki snaps her fingers, and her outfit changes into a Team Magma outfit.
Miyuki: I’ve been watching you. Literally.
Miyuki’s outfit suddenly changes into her Magical Mushroom Girl clothes, then Miyuki turns to leave, and begins walking away from Team Magma
Miyuki: If you really want to investigate, I’ll send a scout to meet you on the southern cliff in the early morning tomorrow. Don’t venture more than a foot off of the living grass though, or, you know…
Miyuki’s voice trails off as she disappears into the bushes.
New Scene(@Temporal = Evening)
May is in a different colored swimsuit in one of the hot springs with Flannery, Ash is sound asleep, Max is playing with Jirachi, and Brock is trying to impress the girls again. Benjy is lost in a daydream sitting on a rock near May and Flannery, looking up at the sky.
May: You too?
Flannery: Yep, happens to everybody. Pokémon tug on your clothes to get your attention. It’s happened too me many times to count. Those girls that Brock seems to like, last week her Zigzagoon, well…
May: So…
Flannery: It’s the only reason those Mandibuzz hang around.
Flannery points to some old folks in a hot spring, one has binoculars around her neck.
Flannery: They aren’t always for bird watching, although bird watching is pretty common around here.
All of a sudden, Bayleef leaps into the spring and belly-flops, soaking everyone.
Flannery: I never knew Bayleef could swim.
Benjy: He can do a lot of things that you would never suspect.
Flannery turns back to May.
Flannery: But the real problem when your swimming is where to put your poké balls.
May nods, and Benjy gets up to let his clothes dry, flinching from his injuries.
May: You okay?
Benjy: I’m fine.
Flannery: That won’t be how you feel in the morning. Come on, we’ve got to get you back to the pokémon center.
Benjy: …If you insist…
New Scene()
The pokémon center is still without power, and Benjy lies on one of the beds, wearing new clothes with unearthly designs. His old clothes are nowhere to be seen. Nurse Joy’s voice trails in from the other room.
Nurse Joy: Yes, it’s just cuts and bruises, but they’re really bad.
QST.camera shifts slightly to where Benjy’s creatures are resting, all looking exhausted, and Satolite and Celebi in particular. Benjy stares up at the bunk above him.
Benjy: And Yami me still hasn’t responded since that light. I hope it’s not broken. I’ve got a feeling it’s not going to be easy to fix…
As Benjy thinks the above line, someone without a flashlight can be seen walking next to him, and unseen to Benjy strokes his hair. Benjy thinks it’s just the wind, and moves his hand to fix his hair, but suddenly his hand brushes up against someone else’s causing Benjy to flinch. Benjy jerks out of the way, staring at May, who was stroking his hair. Benjy stares at her speechless, looking for the words to say.
May: Um…
May: So he is alive…
May: I am–I mean we all are–really worried about you.
Benjy: Has Brock returned?
May nods, and reaches to pat Benjy on the head, but he pulls away.
May: He just got back, but he’s been feeling sick to his stomach. He’s been stuck in the you-know-what for fifteen minutes. Nurse Joy even went in there with him.
Benjy: Just thinking about it is making me sick…
May: You think it’s contagious? But then why did Nurse Joy go in there with him?
Benjy: I hope not. It’s probably stomach flu. And if Brock has stomach flu, considering all food came from the same pot, literally…

May: Anyway, I’m here to make sure that you’re okay.
Benjy breathes out a long sigh.
Benjy: Ok. But please don’t stay up all night on account of me…
The door now opens, and Ash enters the room with a flashlight and Pikachu riding on his shoulder.
Ash: May, we need you; Brock’s throwing up.
May nods, cringing slightly, and follows Ash out of the room. Benjy closes his eyes and quickly falls asleep. Behind him, the Millennium Gameboy Advance lights up faintly.
