The Trigamon Project

The Divine Parody

Season 1: Episode 12: Envoy of Thunder

New Scene()

QST.camera gives a top-down view as Ash and company walk through a large forest along a trail about five feet across.  A creek runs nearby, and the group begins to cross a wooded bridge.

Narrator: Somethings will never change, such as human nature and human stupidity.  To the dimensional drifter these things can be the only comforts.

Across the bridge May scans a signpost.

May: What is it about you and your inability to ask for directions!

Coal: Shut it!

Benjy: Do you guys usually fight like this?

Coal: I’m a man, I don’t need directions.

Benjy: Either you’re part bird, or that’s the most sexist thing I’ve heard all day.

Coal: What are you trying to say?

Benjy: It hasn’t had much competition.

Max turns to look at Benjy as Ash and company walk along the trail.

Max: Why part bird?

Benjy: Birds have a built in GPS of sorts.

Max: GPS?

Benjy: Global Positioning Sys…

The ground collapses out from under Ash and company, as Benjy jumps backwards.  Everyone else falls into a large pit.  As the others struggle to climb out of the pit, Benjy picks up a large round stone lying nearby out of curiosity.

???: Give me that stone!

Benjy looks around but sees no one.

???: Give it to me now you thief!

A teenage girl runs out of the bushes, Benjy tosses her the stone.  She shrieks but catches it easily, then turns to someone behind her.

Teenage_Girl: Are these the thieves you saw earlier?

The bushes rustle and a young boy emerges, between the ages of May and Max.

Boy: N-no.

Teenage_Girl: Huh…

Benjy: I’ve got into a fight over a rock once.  No need to repeat that.

The girl looks at Benjy curiously.

Benjy: Something special about that rock?

Boy: It’s a lightstone.

Ash: A lightstone?

Ash and company have now mostly climbed out of the hole in the ground.  Benjy reaches down to help Ash the rest of the way out of the hole.

Max: What’s a lightstone?

Teenage_Girl: Are you sure they aren’t…

Boy: I’m telling you, there were only two of them.  They were both taller, and had a cat.

Coal: What were their hair colors?

The girl turns and looks down at her brother.

Teenage_Girl: Pink and purple, right?

The boy nods, and Brock rushes in front of the Teenage Girl.

Brock: Hi my name is Brock, and I guarantee that we’ll catch those thieves for–

Coal reaches over and pinches Brock’s shoulder, causing him to collapse, much to the boy and girls’ horror.

Coal: Pink and purple hair…  Do we know anyone like that?

Ash quietly starts inspecting Brock to make sure he’s okay, and looks relieved when he finds a pulse.

May: Why’d you do that?

Coal: I won’t let him guarantee things that are impossible for us to guarantee.

Teenage_Girl: It’s okay, w…

Coal: I need to set a precedent.  We can help in apprehending them, but we might or might not be successful.

Ash: Um…

Teenage_Girl: We have the lightstone back now, and that’s all that matters.

In the distance, a megaphone screeches, causing some bird-pokémon to take off in the distance.

Max: What was that?!

The Millennium Gameboy Advance glows brightly.

Yami Benjy: Someone with a bad megaphone.

The megaphone screeches again.

Ash: Who could that be?

Voice: Prepare for Trouble!

Voice_2: And make it double!

Coal and Yami Benjy both scan the nearby forest for where the sound is coming from.  Yami Benjy nearly trips as he does so.

Voice: To protect the world from devastation

Voice_2: To unite all peoples within our nation.

Coal: Where the zark are they?!

Voice: To denounce the evils of truth and love.

Voice_2: To extend our reach to the stars above.

At this point, Ash and company (except for Brock who’s for all practical purposes asleep), are scanning the forest to see where the sound is coming from.  The girl they just met is staring wide-eyed straight ahead, while her younger brother grasps her arm nervously.

Following the last comment, Ash and company cringe at the sound of machinery moving and gas being released, as a platform begins to rise above the trees, with the silhouette of two teenagers on it.  Ash and May suddenly start coughing on the gas.

Coal: There over there!  Everyone, quickly.

Coal points and footsteps are heard as QST.camera switches to Team Rocket.

Jessie: Jessie!

James: James!

As Jessie and James state their presence, they become visible to QST.camera through the smokescreen, no longer a silhouette.

Jessie: Team Rocket, blasts off at the speed of light!

James: Surrender now or prepare to fight!

Meowth now walks to the front of the platform, becoming visible through the smokescreen.

Meowth: You idiots!

James: Did you forget your part of the motto? (not sarcastic)

Jessie: Well, we’ve only done it a few hundred times. (not sarcastic)

Meowth: I mean, that while you idiots were busy reciting, the twerps used our smokescreen to schedadle with the lightstone that we rightfully stole!

Jessie and James stare at the area that Ash and company were in previously.

Jessie: Oh…

Jessie reaches down on the platform and flips a lever causing the platform to descend.

New Scene()

Ash and company, along with the brother and sister run through the forest on a trail in a direction similar to the way they came.  Ash and May are coughing as they run, as is Yami Benjy.  Coal is carrying Brock, who is still asleep.

Boy: Sis, you got the stone?

The older girl nods

Yami Benjy: What was that stuff?

Coal: Don’t know.

With this, May nearly trips and has to stop running.  The group stops running as she does.

Max: You okay, May?

May takes a second to catch her breath, which is hard because she’s wheezing slightly.

May: I’m okay.

May wheezes slightly.

Teenage_Girl: We should probably get that looked at…

Coal: It’s probably nothing.

Coal’s comment earns him a sharp glare from the girl.

Coal: Probably.

Refresh Scene()

The group continues up a path through the forest.

Teenage_Girl: We have a nebulizer at the lighthouse, as Thatcher has asthma…

Coal: I really don’t think it’s that serious…

May coughs loudly.

Coal: I mean, I’ve seen asthma before.

Max: Ash, how are you feeling?  You also got a mouthful of that stuff…

Ash: …And it tasted like the inside of a car engine.

May: I don’t want to know how you *cough* know that.

May wheezes again.

May: How much farther is it to this lighthouse?

Boy Thatcher: It’s right up the hill.

QST.camera now shifts to show that the lighthouse is down the path.  Thatcher starts to run towards it, and May and Max start running too, but May starts to cough and has to stop.

New Scene()

In the lighthouse, the teenage girl leads Ash and company up several flights of stairs.  Around the halfway point, May starts coughing again, and Coal offers to help her, but she swats his hand away.  After another flight of stairs, May finally accepts the  teenage girl’s help up the stairs.  A few flights of stairs above them Thatcher opens the door to the main lighthouse, and he and Max enter.

Teenage_Girl: Thatcher, get the nebulizer ready.

Thatcher: Where is it?

Yami Benjy: That’s for asthma right?  I don’t think that’s what we need.

The teenage girl looks at Yami Benjy, and the Millennium Gameboy Advance glows slightly.

Teenage_Girl: It should be in the supplies closet!  (To Thatcher)

Teenage_Girl: You think she’ll be alright without it too?  (To Benjy)

Benjy: Maybe.  May, how are you feeling?

May and the teenage girl now finish climbing the steps to the top floor.  May nods slightly.

Thatcher: It’s not here!

Teenage_Girl: What?!

Leaving May and Benjy to enter the main room of the lighthouse, the teenaged girl darts inside.  May and Benjy now enter the main room, and May goes to sit down on a cushion.  From across the room, at the edge of a walk-in closet, the teenaged girl is searching through some boxes desperately.

Teenage_Girl: Thatcher, did you–

Thatcher: I found it like this, Marina!

Teenage_Girl Marina: Really…?

Coal: Yup.  I’d say it was broken into.

Marina: All three of you, out of there!

Thatcher exits the closet, and Max appears from around the corner.  Coal also backs away from the closet, leaving Marina to stare at the mess.

Refresh Scene()

In the same room, Brock puts his ear to Ash’s chest to hear how Ash breathes.

Brock: You guys seem okay.

Max: Just try not to hyperventilate, May.

May nods.

Marina: Benjy, did you find it?

Benjy: It’s not here.

Marina: Keep looking!

Benjy: I found the box, but it’s empty.

Benjy picks up the nebulizer box to show Marina, who curses under her breath.

Max: So they broke into the lighthouse while you guys were sleeping?

Thatcher: Yeah, Plusle and Minun got really scared.  They’re still hiding in the closet, even though I let them know we’re back.

Pikachu: Pika-pi?

From across the room, Marina calls to Thatcher:

Marina: Thatcher, get something for Plusle and Minun.  This is ridiculous.  I’ll get to the lightstone in a few minutes.

Thatcher: Okay, sis!

Thatcher turns to Max

Thatcher: Max, want to help me feed them?

Max nods eagerly, and QST.camera shifts over to where Benjy, Marina, and Brock are trying to put the supplies cabinet back together.

Marina: Why would anyone take a nebulizer?

Brock: How does one even rob a lighthouse?

Brock is cut off by a loud thump, as something falls out of the fridge, across the room.  Max and Thatcher suddenly jump back as more things fall out.

Marina: …!

Marina: What did they do?

Ash: They really trashed the place.

Marina rushes over to the refrigerator which is partly covered in a frosting-like substance.  Marina stares at it curiously.

Marina: Why?

Ash: It looks like whipped cream.

Marina: I can see that, the tube’s been opened…

Marina quickly points out the tube of whipped cream to Ash.

Marina: It doesn’t make any sense though…

Coal: From what I’ve heard, it can be used to get a quick buzz.

Ash: What exactly did they take?

Across the room putting boxes away, Benjy turns his head.

Marina: The lightstone for one thing.  But other than that, just really random stuff.

Marina steps away from the refrigerator to get out some latex-like gloves.

Max: Stuff like?

Marina: Thatcher, give them the list.

Thatcher: So in addition to the lightstone and the nebulizer, they also took my sister’s bath salts, and some office supplies…

Max: Office supplies?

Thatcher: Really random stuff.  Glue sticks, whiteboard markers, paint…

May: You think Team Rocket’s doing some kind of outreach?

Brock: I wouldn’t put it past them.

Yami Benjy: I can’t help but feeling that there’s a pattern here…

Marina: And they took most of the food too…

Thatcher has now disappeared into the bedroom on the other side of a doorway.

Marina: You guys, I’m going to put the lightstone back in it’s place.

Brock: M.  I’ll get this fridge fixed while you do.

Marina sighs, and picks up the lightstone, and takes it up another flight of stairs.  Ash and May appear to be feeling better, so they (as well as Benjy and Max) follow Marina.

Ash: What exactly is a lightstone anyway?

Marina: It’s a stone that emits light.

Benjy: It emits light?

Marina: It’s how the lighthouse works.  We magnify the light that the stone produces.

Marina emerges from the staircase.

Benjy: How do you make it produce light?

Marina: You hit it with an electric charge.  I’ll show you.

Ash, May, Max, and Benjy watch as Marina places the Lightstone on a pedestal in the middle of the room, surrounded by a series of large mirrors, all situated to reflect the light from the stone through the windows of the lighthouse.

Marina: You guys want to see?  It’s going to get bright quickly though…

May and Max both nod eagerly, so Marina hands out severely tinted sunglasses, which everyone puts on.

Max: So you just zap it and it glows?

Footsteps are now heard on the staircase, and Max turns to see Thatcher behind him with Plusle and Minun, all wearing the same sunglasses.

Thatcher: Yeah, but it produces a ton of light.

Benjy: How is that possible?

Marina: Well you can think of the lightstone as a finite state machine.  Its in a low-energy state right now, and the spark will put it into a high energy state.  It’s going to want to back to a low energy state, so it’s going to have to release the energy, which will take it about a week.

Thatcher: And that energy will be released as light!

Ash: That went over my head…

Benjy: But in order to release that much energy, won’t it have to be hit with the same amount of energy?

Marina: One would think, but it doesn’t go directly into the lower-energy state.  It has to go through many states first.

Benjy: But the net energy output should be the same, no matter how many states it has to go through!

Marina: It’s not though.

Benjy: But that’s shouldn’t be physically possible!  It’s not–

Thatcher: We’ll show you!

Benjy: Okay…

Yami Benjy: Benjy, this is a different dimension, so physics probably works differently.

Benjy: It’s still impossible to create something from nothing!

Yami Benjy: Well, yes, but–

Marina: Magnemite!

Something buzzes in the ceiling and some banging is heard, then a Magnemite flies out of the ceiling, and buzzes around, scanning the group.

Marina: Get ready!

Magnemite: Mite…

Thatcher: Now Magnemite!

QST.camera synchronizes with Benjy’s field of vision, darkening the screen to the viewer significantly.  After Magnemite examines the stone, briefly, it discharges a pretty large spark, which strikes the lightstone.  The lightstone glows white for a split-second then suddenly emits a blinding amount of light, forcing Benjy to dart out of the circle of mirrors.

Marina: Keep your glasses on!

New Scene()

(QST.camera is no longer synchronized with Benjy’s view) On the floor below, Brock and Coal notice the light coming from upstairs, just as Benjy starts to descend the steps.

Brock: Wow that’s a lot of light…

Coal: Benjy, apparently they stole some spices too.

Benjy: Weird…

Brock: Is it safe to go up there?

Benjy: If you wear these.

Benjy takes off his glasses and hands them to Brock, who puts them on.

New Scene()

Looking out over the entire forest, suddenly the lighthouse lights up and the entire forest seems much lighter.  QST.camera now shifts back to the lighthouse’s lower floor where Benjy and Coal are staring out over the forest.

Coal: So that’s how you illuminate a whole forest.

Benjy: What about when the clouds aren’t like this though?

Coal: I’ve been here before.  It’s always overcast for some reason.  They do turn it down at night though.

Benjy: It’s a stone…

Coal: I think they tint the windows, but for like ninety-five percent of the year its always really foggy.

Benjy: I see…

Coal: You see it too?

Benjy: Huh?

Coal: Look right where I’m pointing.

Benjy: I don’t see anything there…

Coal: Look closely…

Benjy: The light’s too bright!

QST.camera now zooms out to where Coal is pointing.  In the sky, a Zapdos is awkwardly flying, somewhat obscured by the light of the lighthouse.  QST.camera zooms in on the Zapdos.

New Scene()

Inside the mecha-zapdos, Team Rocket sits at their dashboard.

Jessie: We’re getting close.  Meowth, activate the window tinting.

Meowth:

James: He’s got that deer-in the headlights look again…

Jessie: I guess he won’t mind if I hit the button then.

Jessie quickly reaches over in front of Meowth, and hits the a button, which triggers the windshield to get darker.

Jessie: I can’t believe they just put it back in the open for us to steal again.

James: Some people just never learn.

Revert Scene()

Coal is watching the Zapdos from the window, as Ash and company return to the main floor of the lighthouse.

Ash: Hey Coal, what are you staring at?

Coal: There’s something approaching at eleven o-clock.

Marina instantly turns in the direction that Coal mentioned, still with her glasses on.

Coal: Can you see what I’m pointing at?

Marina: Is that a Zapdos?

Ash: What’s it doing out here?

Brock: Maybe it’s attracted to the light!

Marina: You guys think I should tint the windows?

Benjy: Hold on, something’s not right, what’s a Zapdos doing out here?

May’s Pokédex: Error 505: Pokémon not found.

The mecha Zapdos is now close enough that everyone can see it clearly, and it’s flying rather awkwardly.

May: What does this mean?

Benjy looks down at the pokédex.

Benjy: Maybe it doesn’t recognize it?

Marina: It means it couldn’t find a pokémon to scan.  There’s something wrong with that bird.

Marina now instructs Thatcher, Plusle, and Minun to get to safety, which they quickly do.

Brock: This is bad…  If they don’t stop, they’re going to crash…

With this, Marina rushes upstairs.

Coal: Wait, if they crash–

Coal is cut off as Ash, May, and Max run to put on their protective glasses.  Ash finds his glasses first and darts upstairs.  QST.camera follows him, dimming everything to what Ash sees.  The mecha Zapdos is now just outside the window, where Ash and Marina watch as it slows to a stop.

Marina: It’s a machine?

Ash: That’s odd.

As if detecting that something’s wrong, Magnemite flies out of it’s hole in the ceiling.  Marina now approaches the window closest to the mecha Zapdos.

Marina: CAN WE HELP YOU?!

Suddenly, a rubber claw shoot out of the mecha Zapdos, breaking the window, and then breaking one of the mirrors, where it grabs the lightstone.  Before the claw can be retracted, Ash and Marina both grab it, trying to pry the lightstone free.

Marina: Are they back?!

As if on queue, a megaphone pops out of the top of the mecha zapdos.

Jessie’s Voice: Why yes we are, prepare for trouble.

James’s Voice: And with twice the luminosity–so make it double.

Jessie’s Voice: To protect the world from devastation.

James’s Voice: To unite all peoples within our nation

Ash turns to face Team Rocket, who are cloaked by the fog outside the lighthouse.

Jessie: To denounce the evils of truth and love!

James: To extend our reach to the stars above!

Jessie: Jessie!

Jessie presses against the windshield of the mecha zapdos.

James: James!

James follows Jessie’s actions.

Jessie: Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light.

James: Surrender now or prepare to fight.

Meowth now presses against the screen, joining Jessie and James.

Meowth: Meowth, that’s right!

Wobbuffet: Wobbuffet!

At this moment, May and Max emerge from downstairs, wearing their protective glasses.  Max grabs the claw while May starts to call on Torchic, but Marina tells her to stop or she’ll blind it (Torchic).  May stops, nervously.

Marina: Magnemite, thundershock!

Magnemite zaps the mecha zapdos, but Team Rocket just laughs, explaining that their machine is grounded.

Marina: Fine then, Magnemite tackle!

Magnemite angrily rockets towards the mecha zapdos, but another claw emerges from the mecha zapdos and catches it in mid-air.  Magnemite sparks in the mecha’s grip, but this does nothing.

Ash: Pikachu, iron tail!

Equipped with protective glasses, Pikachu leaps towards the robot arm and smacks it with iron tail, forcing it to release Magnemite, which falls to the ground, battered from the rough handling.

Ash: Pikachu–

Before Ash can call out an attack, the claw grabs Pikachu too.

Meowth: Now we got what we came for!

James: And Pikachu too!

Team Rocket: See ya!

Ash leaps for the mechanical arm holding Pikachu, but he misses as Team Rocket jerks it out of the way, simultaneously pulling the lightstone out of the grasp of Max and Marina.

Ash: Pikachu–

Max: You’re not getting away with this!

Team Rocket responds by making faces through the window of their mecha zapdos.  Ash in turn bolts for the stairs to get to the ground, nearly crashing into Coal.

Ash: They took–

Coal: I’ll take care of it–Pelipper!

Coal takes out a poké ball and a Pelipper emerges, but Ash still takes off down the stairs.  From the floor below, Brock calls to Ash to be careful.

Coal: He’s gone, isn’t he…

May: What are you going to do?

Coal: We need to act fast.  Pelipper, catch that thing and drop a two-twenty.

Pelipper: Pep!

Coal throws Pelipper something which it catches in it’s bill; it then takes off.

New Scene()

On the ground, Ash is already following Team Rocket’s mecha on foot, rushing through the misty forest.  As he runs, he notices a spark following him, and nearly trips as he does so.

Pixielite: Hoot?

Ash:

Benjy’s voice: Ash!  Pixielite says it went that way!

Ash: Where?!

Benjy now darts into Ash’s view, pointing at a 30º angle (clockwise) from the direction Ash is running.

Ash: How do you know?

Benjy: Pixielite can track it with radar.  Lets go–

Ash: Right!

Ash and Benjy take off running again as Pixielite flies ahead lighting their way.

Refresh Scene()

QST.camera shows an overhead view of Ash and Yami Benjy rushing along a forest trail.  Pixielite continues to light their way.

Ash: Do you know how far they went?

Benjy: They’re pretty fast…

Pixielite: Beebeep!

Ash: What does that mean?

Benjy: It’s means Pixielite detected some erratic behavior.

Ash: That’s disgusting.

Benjy: Ash, *erratic* as in something’s going on…  Like engine trouble.

Ash: Huh?

Pixielite beeps and turns around.

Benjy: They just flew over that way.

New Scene()

Pelipper has now somehow caught up with Team Rocket’s mecha, and QST.camera sees it through the mecha zapdos’s windshield, wearing a pair of protective glasses.

James: Wow that bird looks angry!

#Reference: Angry Birds

Meowth: Good thing birds don’t like missiles!

Meowth presses a button the mecha Zapdos’s dashboard and it fires a missile at Pelipper.  Team Rocket grins, hoping to see Pelipper knocked out, but instead Pelipper is protected behind a translucent green barrier.

Jessie: Did it just use protect?

Pelipper now proceeds to spray the windshield of the mecha zapdos with a water gun.

James: How dare you! I just spent four hours cleaning that!

Meowth: YOU HEAR THAT STUPID BIRD?!  YOU’RE GOING DOWN!!!

Jessie: Meowth–

Meowth: FIRE ALL THE MISSILES!!!

Meowth proceeds to jab all the buttons on his control panel.

Meowth: THAT’S OVER NINE THOUSAND MISSILES!!!  HOW DO YOU LIKE THAT BIRDIE?!  HAHAHA HAHAHA HAHAHA!!!

Missiles shoot out of the front of the mecha zapdos at Pelipper, and the constant explosions make it impossible to see what’s actually happening to Pelipper,

Jessie: Do you think Meowth might be overdoing it a little?

James: I hear this is perfectly normal for a cat.

(While Jessie and James are talking, Meowth is still laughing hysterically)  As the explosions clear, Jessie and James stare at Pelipper, back in view, protected behind another green translucent barrier.

James: Uh-oh…

Jessie: It’s still there?

James: It must’ve protected itself again!

QST.camera now moves outside the mecha zapdos as Pelipper quickly strikes the metal ropes with steel wings, flying in a figure-8, which causes the mecha zapdos to shake.  QST.camera now moves back inside the mecha zapdos, where Meowth is still laughing hysterically, but not so loudly anymore.

James: Jessie, it's going to destroy the ropes!

Jessie: I’ll pull them inside the plane.

QST.camera moves outside the mecha zapdos again, where Coal’s Pelipper continues to strike the metal arms with steel wing.  Suddenly, the metal arms begin to retract inside the mecha zapdos; despite how much Pelipper hammers them with it’s wings.  Upon failing to break them, Pelipper then fires a hydro pump at the bottom of the plane.

Back inside the mecha zapdos, Team Rocket has finished retracting the metal arms.

Jessie: Let’s see what we got, shall we?

Jessie presses a button and Pikachu emerges from the floor, still with it’s protective glasses, in a glass, shock-proof case.

James: And our lightstone.

James presses a different button, and the lightstone emerges from the floor instantly lighting up the cabin.

New Scene()

Pelipper stares at the mecha zapdos, looking for a way to destroy it when suddenly the mecha zapdos starts rocking.

Jessie: Too bright!  Too bright!  James, do something!

James: I can’t see the controls!

QST.camera now zips down to the ground where Benjy, Ash, and Pixielite are in the forest.  Pixielite makes a u-turn, and Ash and Benjy follow it.

Pixielite: Pissi pi!

Benjy: They’re going that way now…

Ash: Are they that concerned with throwing us off their tail.

Benjy and Ash now emerge from the forest to see the mecha zapdos in the distance, spinning as it falls.

Ash: Pikachu!

Ash starts to take off towards the mecha zapdos.

Benjy: Wait Ash!

Ash: Not waiting!

Benjy: It’s going to–

Pixielite zips by Ash and, using it’s tractor beam, pulls Ash off his feet as Benjy dives for cover.  The mecha zapdos crashes into the ground about one hundred feet from where they are, and breaks, but doesn’t explode.  Ash jumps back to his feet without even thinking about Pixielite as he races towards the downed plane.

New Scene()

Team Rocket crawl out of their plane with minor cuts and bruises, spirals on their eyes as the lightstone shines from inside their plane.

Jessie: I’ve been blinded by the light…

James: It’s the light of redemption.

Ash: Team Rocket!

QST.camera shifts to show Ash standing on a small hill overlooking the crash.

James: They’re here already.

Jessie: I’ll handle this–where are my pokémon?

Jessie starts fumbling around for a pokémon.

Ash: Tsk.  Corphish, bubblebeam!

Corphish leaps from it’s ball, and shoots a bubblebeam at Team Rocket, who still haven’t recovered from the light of the lightstone.  Still unable to see, Jessie finally locates a poké ball:

Jessie: Seviper!

Jessie tosses the pokéball, but when it opens, Wobbuffet emerges.

Wobbuffet: Wobbuffet!

Jessie: Why you little–

Jessie lunges at Wobbuffet in frustration, but misses.

Meowth: Protect us with your mirror coat!

Wobbuffet: Wobbu-wob!

Wobbuffet intercepts bubblebeam with a mirror coat attack, sending the attack right back at Ash and Corphish.

Ash: Dodge–

Benjy: Pixielite, mirror force!

Pixielite zips in between Corphish and the bubblebeam and sets up a mirror force, reflecting the bubbles back at Team Rocket.  Wobbuffet appears too stunned on it’s own to react.

James: What’s a "mirror force"?

Immediately after this comment, Corphish’s bubbles crash into the downed plane, striking Team Rocket.

Pikachu: Pika-pika!

Ash: I’ll get you out, Pikachu!

Jessie: Where are they?!

Ash has Treecko use bullet seed on the downed plane, which only seems to hurt Team Rocket, rather than freeing Pikachu from the plane.

Ash: That thing is sturdy.

Benjy: Excuse me.

Ash: Huh?

The Millennium Gameboy Advance glows, something which Ash catches out of the corner of his eye.

Jessie: We can finally see again, so prepare for trouble!

James: And while we’re at it, we’re seeing double.

Jessie: To protect the world from–

Yami Benjy: You want trouble?  I’ll give you trouble!

James: What?

Yami Benjy: Shroomish!  Shadow rush!

Yami Benjy calls on Shroomish, which hurtles downwards at Team Rocket, crashing into the mecha zapdos and putting a large hole into it.  The hole shorts something causing Team Rocket to get zapped.  James whirls around to face Shroomish, who leaps from inside the plane and bites his nose.

James stands up in pain, and Jessie and Meowth just stare as he yanks Shroomish off.  Shroomish bites James’s arm, but he flings it way.  Shroomish lands in Jessie’s hair and begins to chew it and she panics.  Meowth attacks Shroomish with fury swipes, but Jessie turns and it hits her in the face instead.

Angered, Jessie rips a beam of sorts from the mecha and bonks Meowth with it, but fails as he is right where the hole is.  Ash and company have now reached the bottom and come running towards them.  Jessie calls on Seviper and James tries to call on Cacnea, but he falls down from a blast of water.

Pelipper: Pelipper!

Pelipper then proceeds to one-hit-KO Seviper with a water gun attack.

Jessie: Wait, did it just…

Seviper: …vipr…

Suddenly, light starts shining from the plane making it too bright for Team Rocket to see.

James: What’s going on?!

Pikachu: Pikachu!

Wearing it’s protective glasses, Pikachu emerges from the hole in the plane that Shroomish made, carrying the lightstone.  QST.camera synchronizes with Benjy’s vision, and the screen darkens to align with Benjy’s glasses.

Ash: Pikachu!

Pikachu: Pika-pi!

Ash: Now Pikachu, thun–

Marina’s voice: Wait, I’m going to teach them a lesson!

Meowth: Who said that?!

James: I can’t see anything!

Marina’s voice: Thatcher, have Plusle and Minun–

Thatcher: I got it!  Plusle, Minun, use helping hand on Pikachu!

Plusle: Chee!

Minun: Chee!

Marina’s voice: I’m going to teach you a lesson you’ll never forget!

Pikachu absorbs the power, staring at Team Rocket, who are still unable to see.

Ash: Pikachu, now thunder!

Pikachu: Pika–chu!

Pikachu draws in much more current than normal, a blinding flash of electricity which shoots directly into the broken mecha zapdos, shooting through Team Rocket and making things in the mecha zapdos spark.  Suddenly, something pops, and a split second later the mecha zapdos explodes in a massive fireball, shooting Team Rocket into the sky.

Coal’s voice: Pelipper, protect!

Ash and Yami Benjy start to shield themselves but it’s not needed, as Pelipper's protect blocks the force of the explosion from reaching them.

Ash: Woah…

Coal’s voice: And you nearly taught yourselves a lesson too…

Yami Benjy: Wait!  Where’s Shroomish?!

New Scene()

Team Rocket blasts off through the sky, Shroomish for some reason with them.

James: T-that light!

Jessie: That was the light of distraction!

Jessie,James: …And we’re blasting off again!

Wobbuffet: Wobbuffet!

Shroomish: Grr…

Meowth: Get this thing off my tail!

As Team Rocket blasts away, Meowth rips Shroomish off of his tail and throws it down back towards Ash and company.

Revert Scene()

A whistling noise is heard as Shroomish falls from the sky.  As Yami Benjy reaches out to catch it, Shroomish bites his hand.  Quickly remembering how Shroomish bit Starf, and [L] removed it (quick flashback); Yami Benjy rubs Shroomish’s forehead gently with his other hand and Shroomish lets go, allowing him to recall it.  Coal notices this out of the corner of his eye

Marina: I don’t think we’ll be seeing them again.

Coal: You probably won’t, but we will.

Marina: After that?

Coal: To put everything into perspective, they’ve been trying to steal Pikachu for sixteen months.  They’ve succeeded exactly zero times.

Coal: But more interestingly, it looks like Mister Different Dimension has a shadow pokémon…  And it looks like he’s trying to purify it too.  Brings back memories…

New Scene(Lighthouse)

May carefully studies a map, while Brock finishes putting a tray back in the fridge.

Thatcher: And there was no sign of the markers or anything.

Brock: They were probably hidden in the plane somewhere.

Marina now comes down the stairs in her protective glasses.

Marina: Thatcher, I’m going to need you to be here tomorrow all day.  I don’t know when the mechanic will get here.

Brock: They didn’t give you a time?

Marina: It’s the government, so they tend to be unreliable at best.  I have to go get supplies.

Brock: Shouldn’t your parents handle that?

Thatcher immediately looks sad; Marina just sighs.

Marina: Our parents disappeared several years ago.

Ash: They disappeared?

May: What happened?

Marina looks sad.

Marina: Long story short, we woke up one morning and they were nowhere to be found.

Ash, May, and Max stare in shock at this comment.

Max: That’s weird…

Marina: Thank you for all you’ve done though.  We can handle this from here on out.

New Scene(Trail)

Ash and company wave goodbye to Marina and Thatcher and continue along the trail, with Brock reading the map via the light of the lighthouse.  As Ash and company leaves hearing distance, May speaks up

May: That’s odd, their parents just disappeared…

Brock nods in agreement.

Brock: It’s not the first time I’ve heard of something like that happening though.

Coal: I don’t think they want us to feel sorry for them.  (whisper)

Ash: I feel sorry for everyone who has to put up with Team Rocket…

Benjy: Now that’s another story.

Ash and company suddenly notice that it’s darker all of a sudden, and Benjy attributes this to the mirror that Team Rocket broke.  Coal calls on Pichu to use flash, and it looks at him strangely.

Coal: I mean emit some light please.

Pichu: Pichu!

Pichu acts as a lantern as Ash and company walk through the mist.
