The Trigamon Project

The Divine Parody

Season 1: Episode 44: Flirting with Disaster (Part 2)

New Scene(Previously_On_Trigamon)

This is a quick summary of what has happened so far, up to the point where Tornamistrik wonders about how Team Rocket found out about the Mew Project.

New Scene(Refresh Old)

Narrator: Tornamistrik Molotov is a man of many names.  More famously, he is known as Keiichiro Akasaka, or Wesley J. Coolridge the third.  Which one is his real name?  Even I don’t know!  I’m not that kind of narrator!

Lilla jumps up and takes off out of the room.

Meowth: After her!

Seviper and Cacnea lurch forwards to chase after Lilla.

Benjy: Not going to stand for it!  Satolite, collision!

Satolite zips out of it’s ball, colliding with Seviper’s head, knocking the latter down and causing Seviper to spew haze everywhere.  Obscured by the smog, Lilla trips and falls.  The Millennium Gameboy Advance glows.

Yami Benjy: Satolite, whirlwind!

Satolite: Sat–sat–

Whirlwind fails to clear the smog, but does thin it slightly, as well as blowing it back on Team Rocket, who charges after Lilla.  Tornamistrik attempts to tackle Jessie, but accidentally tackles May instead.  May screams and Brock punches Tornamistrik, thinking him to be James.  As they struggle an electric attack blows something up in the other room.

May whimpers again, as Max opens the window allowing the smog to leave the room.  Tornamistrik now realizes that he tackled May and backs away nervously, but not before she can deliver a punch to his eye.  Tornamistrik stumbles backwards in pain for a second.

Tornamistrik: Lilla!

Without a moment’s hesitation, Tornamistrik leaps through the window, leaving May, Max, and Brock horribly confused.

New Scene()

Tornamistrik slams his fist against the restaurant doors as Ash and Yami Benjy face off Jessie and James.  Pikachu attacks with thunderbolt and Wobbuffet uses mirror coat, reflecting the attack back at them.  Lilla screams and dives behind Ash, and Satolite shields her with mirror force.

With Satolite on the defensive, Ash calls on Corphish to help fight Team Rocket, telling it to attack with crabhammer.

James: Cacnea, needle arm!

Needle arm strikes Corphish as crabhammer strikes Cacnea; needle arm does slightly more damage to Corphish.  Meanwhile Tornamistrik bangs on the door repeatedly, attempting to force it open.

Yami Benjy: Electric gust!

Satolite fires a gust at Team Rocket charged with static, striking Team Rocket and sending them falling backwards.  The electric gust also succeeds in knocking out the power.

Jessie: Mirror Coat!

Yami Benjy: Mirror force!

As the electricity bounced back and forth, it intensifies into an electrically charged explosion that shatters all the windows in the cafe.  Tornamistrik barely dives out of the way in time.

Meowth: Now’s our chance

Jessie: Seviper, haze!

Seviper emits a huge amount of haze, blackening out even the ceiling.  Yami Benjy squints, then suddenly grabs someone that attempts to rush past him.

Jessie: !

Recognizing Jessie’s voice, Yami Benjy delivers a punch powerful enough to knock Jessie out.  Immediately after this, a whirring noise resonates as Satolite flaps it’s wings extremely rapidly, dispelling the haze in a matter of seconds.  Tornamistrik now collapses to his knees.

May: Something wrong?

Tornamistrik: They got Lilla…  How, how did they know…

Brock: Know what?!

Tornamistrik: Nevermind…

Yami Benjy: You need to tell us what we’re dealing with.  Who is she?

Tornamistrik: She’s just a friend.  I’m sorry…

Ash: Whoa…

Tornamistrik: It’s too late to do anything at this point.  Now that Team Rocket has her, once they bring her back to their base…

Max: Got news for you, Team Rocket isn’t going anywhere.

Max gestures at Jessie, lying unconscious on the floor.  As he does, Jessie regains consciousness slowly.  QST.camera switches to what she sees for the duration of the time it takes for her to wake up, then switches back as Jessie sits bolt upright, looking around speechless.

Jessie: Uh, I’ll be–

Tornamistrik: You’re not going anywhere!

Despite Tornamistrik’s comment, Jessie dives out the window between Yami Benjy and Tornamistrik.  Tornamistrik gasps, and Ash tells Pikachu to use thunderbolt on Jessie, shocking her and sending her blasting off.

Tornamistrik: (bleep)!

Yami Benjy: Satolite!

Yami Benjy gestures with his hand, and Satolite shoots out the open window after Jessie.

New Scene()

As Jessie blasts off, she looks down to see Satolite approaching her rapidly from below.  Jessie stares confused as Satolite catches up to her, grabs her in it’s tractor beam, and performs a u-turn, heading almost straight for the ground.

New Scene()

Ash and company and Tornamistrik have gathered outside the cafe near the spot where Satolite is targeting.  Yami Benjy calls on Bayleef, and Satolite comes shooting downwards, where it releases Jessie to crash right into the ground, creating a large plume of dust.  Jessie now starts to get to her feet.

Jessie: You’ll pay for that.

Unbeknownst to Jessie, Bayleef has wrapped it’s vines around one of her legs.

Jessie: Go DustOX!

Right as Jessie says the second syllable of "Dustox," she trips over Bayleef’s vines and goes sprawling.  Despite her fall, Jessie did manage to call on Dustox.

Jessie: Dustox, tackle now!

May: Got this!  Beautifly, silver–

Ash: Pikachu, thunderbolt!

Thunderbolt strikes Dustox, resulting in an one-hit KO.  Dustox falls to the ground in front of Jessie.

Back where everyone else is standing, May confronts Ash and the two begin to argue:

May: I said I got this!

Ash: You can’t just call battles!

May: Can too!

Jessie: What are you guys going to do to me?!

Tornamistrik walks towards Jessie slowly:

Tornamistrik: We’re going to get Lilla back.  And until we do, and you’re going to help us.

New Scene()

James and Meowth walk through the forest with James holding a tied up Lilla.  Lilla starts to scream, but Meowth threatens her with his claws.  James and Meowth walk back to their camp and Meowth makes sure Lilla stays silent.

Team Rocket finally drags Lilla to their camp where they tell her she’s going to stay and be quiet until Jessie gets back.  Lilla starts to cry, but Meowth threatens her again and she sobs silently.

James: Jessie sure is taking a while…

Meowth: Pfft.  Women…  We got ourselves an extremely rare pokémon and she just takes her sweet time…

Lilla: Rare Pokémon?

James: That’s you, sweet thing!  We’re taking you back to our boss.

Meowth: You’re going to get us a promotion for sure!

Lilla: I’m a Pokémon?

James: They never told you?

Lilla: I’m a Pokémon…

Meowth: You’re the legendary Mewthree!

James: You’re going to help Team Rocket take over the entire world!

New Scene()

Everyone stands around inside the café’s back room, and Jessie lies on a table, all tied up with rope.

Jessie: Let me go!

Tornamistrik: Sorry, but not until I get Lilla back.

Brock: So does everyone agree with the plan?  We dangle Jessie from the air and dig a pit right underneath her.  Then when James and Meowth come to collect her, they fall right in.

Jessie: It’ll never work.

Max: We should probably put a muzzle on her too so she can’t leak the plan.

Jessie gulps.

Tornamistrik: Genius.  I’ll use our megaphone to call them out of hiding once we get it set up.

New Scene()

Utilizing a crane mounted on the roof of the café, a muzzled Jessie is lowered over a hole with ropes tying her arms.  These ropes are then tied to the ropes that go over the top of the crane.  Jessie squirms but Pikachu sparks, and she then hangs limp.

Brock: I feel uncomfortable doing this…

Ash: Yeah, even though they’d do the same thing to us…

Max: If they could.

Tornamistrik: It’s fine, you guys.

Tornamistrik now raises his megaphone, as Tornamistrik starts to speak, Ash and company cover their ears:

Tornamistrik: TEAM ROCKET, WE HAVE ONE OF YOUR MEMBERS.

New Scene()

At their camp, James and Meowth hear Tornamistrik’s megaphone and shiver.

James: They captured Jessie?!

Meowth: Yup, it appears so.

James: We’ve got to do something?!

Meowth: And waste a perfect opportunity to escape?!

James: We can’t just leave her behind!

Meowth: But we’ve got the world’s most powerful pokémon right at our fingertips?!

James: I don’t know what it is, but something tells me we didn’t get what we thought we were getting…

Meowth: James!  Let’s go!

James: You’re an evil cat.  Hey Cacnea…

Cacnea: Cacac?

James: We’ve got someone to save.

James starts walking with Cacnea at his heels.

Meowth: Hey wait!  Where are you going?!

James: Stupid cat…

As James continues walking, he is joined by Seviper and Wobbuffet, leaving Meowth behind with Lilla.

Meowth: Well it looks like you’ll be come with me–ahh!

Meowth’s scream is in reaction to Lilla’s ropes falling off.  Before Meowth can say or do anything, Lilla zooms off back towards Tornamistrik.  Meowth looks at the ropes lying on the ground and gasps.

Meowth: She must’ve untied them!  But how?!

Revert Scene()

On the roof of the café, Ash and company and Tornamistrik look over the surrounding area.

May: You sure this will work?

Yami Benjy: I’m fairly sure that even Team Rocket won’t stoop so low as to abandon their comrades.  After all you guys have been through together, I still don’t understand how they can try to steal from you.

Max: They’re Team Rocket…

Yami Benjy: But people nonetheless…  Don’t ever forget that.

The wind blows across the clearing by the side of the café, and there is a rustling in the woods nearby.  Suddenly James emerges surrounded by Seviper, Cacnea, and Wobbuffet.

James: You twerps have some nerve messing with Team Rocket!

Tornamistrik: And you have some nerve abducting my Lilla!

James: So that’s what this is about, your precious pokémon...

Tornamistrik: Lilla is NOT a pokémon!

James: Mewthree, is she not?  A clone of the powerful Mewtwo…

QST.camera split-screens to show the expressions of shock on the faces of Ash and company; Tornamistrik just stares at James.

Tornamistrik: You idiots.

Tornamistrik: The Mewthree you’re looking for doesn’t exist.

James: If that were the case, then explain why everyone is looking for it, smartypants.

Tornamistrik: …Idiot…

James: Well, I’m taking Jessie back and you’re not getting your Lilla, you hear?

Max: Wait for it…

James: Cacnea!  Pin missile on that rope!

Cacnea hugs James causing him to jump backwards, before shooting a pin missile at the rope holding Jessie, cutting right through it.  Ash and company (save for Yami Benjy) all gasp as Jessie crashes through the ground and into the pit beneath.  James also gasps as Jessie stands up in the pit, the impact having loosened the ropes tying her up.

James: Jessie…?

Lilla suddenly appears from the forest, rushing back towards the café.

Jessie: You idiot!

Tornamistrik: Lilla!

Meowth: Daah!  Don’t let her get away!

Jessie sends Seviper at Lilla, but Ash and Yami Benjy have Pikachu and Satolite both zap it with electric attacks.

James: Cacnea, needle sprinkler!

May: Torchic, ember!

Ember and needle sprinkler collide, mostly canceling each other out, but both Torchic and Cacnea appear to take minor damage.  Lilla begins to run away and Meowth rushes after her.

Ash: Now Pikachu, thunder!

Pikachu fires a thunder attack at Meowth, but Meowth jumps back to avoid the hit.  Still, it puts some distance between Meowth and Lilla.

Jessie: Wobbuffet, after her!

Wobbuffet: Wobbuffet!

Wobbuffet now also chases after Lilla, but Tornamistrik leaps off the roof, with a punch aimed for Wobbuffet.

Jessie: Wobbuffet, counter!

Wobbuffet: Wobbuffet!

A red glow starts to surround Wobbuffet and with this Tornamistrik’s hand collides.  However as counter starts to push his hand backwards, Tornamistrik’s ring glows and counter fades, enabling Tornamistrik to send Wobbuffet flying with a powerful punch.  Wobbuffet crashes to the ground, seemingly KOed.

Jessie: Impossible…

James: Cacnea, pin missile!

Jessie: Seviper, poison tail!

Seviper lunges towards Tornamistrik, but Cacnea’s attack strikes him first, knocking him down.  Ash has Pikachu use volt tackle to knock Seviper backwards to where Jessie and James are standing.  Seviper lands in a heap, where it flips itself to an upright position, accidentally smacking James in the stomach with poison tail.

James: Oh…  What did you do that for?!

Jessie: You were in the way!

Cacnea rushes in front of James defensively.

Tornamistrik: Idiots…

Ash: Thunderbolt!

Pikachu: Pik-a-chuuu!

Pikachu launches thunderbolt at Jessie, but suddenly Wobbuffet stands up to block it with mirror coat, reflecting the thunderbolt back at May and Torchic.  While the attack doesn’t land a KO, it is enough to almost knock May and Torchic off of the café roof.

May: Watch it! (angry)

Ash: I can’t control Wobbuffet!

Benjy: Looked pretty solidly KOed to me…

QST.camera now goes into split-screen/cutscene showing the mounting anger on the faces of Jessie, James, Ash, and May.  Coming out of the split-screen, all four tell their pokémon to attack, and the attacks crash into each-other in a four-way collision and all explode, with an unusually powerful explosion, the force of which knocks Yami Benjy and Max off the café roof (all the way across); Yami Benjy lands on the ground feet-first and catches Max as he falls back first.

Yami Benjy: This is bad.  I sense a growing disturbance in the fourth wall.

Benjy: Wait, what?

Refresh Scene()

Ash, May, Jessie, and James are now standing in a diamond-shape with May closest to the café.  Brock stands between Ash and May, trying to calm them down.

May: He started it!

Ash: That wasn’t my fault!

Brock: Could we just–

Brock cuts himself off as he hears Team Rocket arguing with Meowth trying to calm them down.  May now accuses Ash of trying to ruin her day and Ash counters by complaining about her whining.

QST.camera now shifts up into the trees where Oscar and Andi look down at the four-way battle unfolding beneath them.

Oscar: Very soon their very…

Andi: …souls will be ours.

Oscar and Andi then start to make out.

New Scene()

Yami Benjy, Max, Tornamistrik, and Lilla watch the battle going on from inside the café.  Brock sits at one of the nearby tables, resting one bandaged leg on another of the chairs.

Max: Man, whats gotten into them…

Lilla:

Tornamistrik: I don’t know…

Max: What do you mean you don’t know!  That ray did something, I know it.

Max glares angrily at Tornamistrik.

Max: Jirachi…

Jirachi pops its head out of Max’s backpack.  Tornamistrik now steps back, pulling out a poké ball.

Lilla: You guys aren’t going to battle in here are you?!?!

Max: He did something to my friends!

Tornamistrik: I don’t back down from any challenge!

Lilla gulps, and Max turns to Yami Benjy.

Max: Give me a hand here!

Yami Benjy: Sorry, I’m heading outside.

Max stares angrily after Yami Benjy as he exits the building.

Tornamistrik: So you aren’t one to fight on your own…

Max quickly turns back towards Tornamistrik.

Max: Shut-up!

Tornamistrik: Zark!  Did I say that out loud?!

New Scene()

Gender based frustrations have now caused Ash and James to team up to fight May and Jessie as Yami Benjy watches in confusion.  Brock limps to Yami Benjy’s side.

Brock: Lets at least put some order to this.  All trainers get one pokémon each.  Time limit of ten minutes.  The winning team will determine the superior…

Brock stares at the angry expressions of Ash, May, Jessie, and James.

Brock: I can’t say it…

Yami Benjy: Not fit for TV, right?

Ash, May, Jessie, and James continue to stare until Ash breaks the silence.

Ash: Fine by me…

All at once, Ash, May, Jessie, and James send out Pikachu, Beautifly, Seviper, and Cacnea respectively.  As the attacks collide, Brock comments how everyone seems to be much better in sync with each other.  As the battle proceeded, Pikachu manages to knock out Seviper when it rushes for Cacnea.  Jessie now sends out Dustox, and Brock gulps.

Brock: Alright, Jessie and May are dis–

Yami Benjy: Only Jessie, May hasn’t cheated.

Brock: Are you questioning my judgment as a referee?

Yami Benjy: I’m–

Jessie: Disqualify this!

Jessie sends Dustox to use tackle on Brock, but then James smirks and Jessie has it change target to him.

May: Of course you’re going to side with them!  They’re boys so obviously…

Ash responds by having Pikachu iron tail Dustox. James has Cacnea use pin missile on May who screams.  Without instruction, Torchic blasts Cacnea with a flamethrower.

Brock: This is no longer a pokémon battle…

Oscar: It never was…

Brock and Yami Benjy turn around to face Oscar and Andi staring at them.

Andi: This is a clash of souls!  A fight to determine which is the superior side of the human race!

Oscar: Men…

Andi: Or women…

Oscar and Andi stare at Brock and Yami Benjy with a gleam in their eyes.

Yami Benjy: So you’re stupid and insane.

Brock: They often go together.

Andi responds to Brock in a sweet voice:

Andi: You know who we are, don’t you?

Brock: Um…  Let me see.

Brock immediately pulls out a book and starts looking through it.  Yami Benjy meanwhile doesn’t take his eyes off the duo.  The female trainer now starts walking towards Brock and Yami Benjy.

Andi: Let me show you…

Yami Benjy: Get back!

Andi: Nonsense, boys–

Yami Benjy: Millennium focus!

Yami Benjy holds out both hands in front of him directly at Andi, interlinking his thumbs.  With a pulse of golden light-energy, Yami Benjy knocks her backwards about three meters and about a meter into the air.  Andi does a somersault and starts to land back where she was, but Yami Benjy blasts her backwards again.  And again, and again.

Andi: I can’t get close.

Oscar: Apparently you can’t, my love.

Andi: So true, my love…

Brock now flips through his book rapidly.

Brock: Who are they?!  And how dare they taunt me like this!!

Yami Benjy: Just what are you up to?

Oscar: What *are* we up to…?

The trainers now giggle and a shriek is heard from the battlefield.

Andi: Ooh, he’s mad now…

Yami Benjy stands staring at the two trainers.

Benjy: I think they already told you…

Yami Benjy: What they told me was a load of (bleep)

Benjy: I was going to say, I think actions speak louder than words.

Yami Benjy: Which means I’m going to have to beat it out of them!

Yami Benjy extracts Satolite’s ball from his pocket.

Oscar: You’re going to battle us?

Andi: Sorry, but that won’t work.  We only accept tag battles–

Oscar: From trainers of opposite genders.

Andi: My love, why is he looking at us like that?

QST.camera now shows arrows to show that Yami Benjy has achieved eye contact with both trainers (Note that Yami Benjy is NOT cross eyed, and views makes eye contact with each trainer through the most reasonable eye)

Yami Benjy: If I recall, you said something about eye-contact.

As Yami Benjy speaks, the trainers’ pokéballs float out of their pockets and into their hands.

Andi: No way!

Oscar: Impossible!

Andi: I’m going to warn you, the rules are one monster per person!  If you fight us alone it’s two on one!

Yami Benjy: I’ll take my chances.

Yami Benjy now grabs Satolite’s great ball.

Andi: Nidoqueen!

Oscar: Nidoking!

Nidoking and Nidoqueen emerge from their poké balls

Yami Benjy: Let’s go!  Satolite!

Satolite now flies out of it’s great ball.

Andi: Nidoqueen!

Oscar: Nidoking!

Oscar, Andi: Love rush!

Grabbing each-other's hand, Nidoqueen and Nidoking charge at Satolite.

Yami Benjy: Fly now!

In an instant Satolite flies out of the way and into the sky.  Unperturbed, the male trainer tells Nidoking to launch Nidoqueen at Satolite.  Yami Benjy watches carefully as this unfolds.

Oscar: Fire your love!

Yami Benjy swings his arm out to his side as Nidoking hurls Nidoqueen into the sky.

Yami Benjy: Mirror force!

New Scene()

Nidoqueen rockets into the sky directly for Satolite (which is about a half-mile in the air); Satolite adjusts it’s body to face Nidoqueen head-on.  As Nidoqueen nears Satolite, the later emits a translucent wave.  Nidoqueen crashes into this wave which acts as a trampoline, slowing Nidoqueen and ultimately stopping her about five inches from Satolite.  Then the *bounce* occurs, hurling Nidoqueen back down at Nidoking.

Revert Scene()

Oscar and Andi gasp in horror as Nidoqueen comes hurling down at Nidoking.  The later moves to catch the prior, but Satolite shoots past Nidoking, slashing Nidoking with it’s wing.  This causes Nidoking to lose focus, and seconds later for Nidoqueen to come crashing down on top of Nidoking.

Andi: Nidoqueen, moonblast!

Nidoqueen jumps off of Nidoking and fires a blast of light at Satolite.

Yami Benjy: Do a barrel roll!

Satolite rolls to the side to dodge the blast of light, then rolls twice more to dodge two more of Nidoqueen’s attacks.  Nidoking now gets up, and the two launch a variety of bomb-type moves at Satolite, which dodges them all.

Yami Benjy: Loop and strike with collision!

Satolite zips out of the striking range into the sky, and before either of the trainers can call out an attack, crashes into Nidoqueen.  Nidoking tries to catch it, but Satolite is too fast.  Nidoking and Nidoqueen now desperately try to catch Satolite, but it proves far to fast to be caught.  Nidoking and Nidoqueen both wind up panting now while Satolite zooms around them blasting them with lunarbeams and the like, which only manage to chip away at Nidoking’s and Nidoqueen’s hp.

Oscar: You’re good…

Andi: But nobody sane goes two-on-one!

Oscar: And here’s why!  Nidoking, throw Nidoqueen…

Satolite strikes Nidoking with a lunarbeam, causing it to flinch, and zooms around again.

Andi: Clockwise!  Nidoqueen, horn drill

Nidoking throws Nidoqueen into the air in a clockwise spiral.  As Nidoqueen brings her horn down to Satolite’s path, Satolite vanishes in a burst of red light, shocking both of the opposing trainers (Note that Satolite doesn’t disappear into a ball, but just disappears into nothing with the same kind of animation); Nidoqueen lands on the ground and looks around confused.

Benjy: Celebi, psychic!

With a tremendous psychic force, Celebi catches Nidoqueen off-guard and sends her crashing into Nidoking, before slamming both of them into the ground for good measure.  Nidoqueen now sees Celebi and attempts to swat it with it’s tail, but Celebi disappears in the same manner.

Yami Benjy: Aerial ace!

Satolite strikes Nidoking’s cheek with an aerial ace.

Oscar: We said one per person!

Yami Benjy: By now I hope you realize–

Satolite strikes Nidoqueen with an aerial ace, and Nidoking counters by swinging it’s tail at Satolite, which disappears.

Benjy: There are two of us!  Psychic!  Water pulse!

Celebi emerges out of nowhere, and proceeds to blast Nidoking and Nidoqueen with psychic, the follow up with water pulse for good measure.

Oscar: what the (bleep)!

Andi: They share a body…

Oscar: Nidoking, megahorn!

Nidoking rushes towards Celebi, which disappears as the Millennium Gameboy Advance glows.

Yami Benjy: Satolite, aerial ace!

Satolite shoots past Nidoking, leaving another slash on it’s cheek.  Satolite now casts aeroblast on Nidoking.

Andi: Nidoqueen, ice beam!

Nidoqueen fires an ice beam at Satolite, which disappears.  Celebi appears and blasts Nidoqueen with psychic, then disappears as Nidoking attempts to smash it with it’s tail.  By now, everyone else has stopped fighting and is now busy watching the battle.  As QST.camera shows this, Ash, May, Jessie, and James all appear to have heavy bruises.  This switching of Celebi and Satolite due to Benjy and Yami Benjy’s switching continues for about six to eight more switches with Satolite and Celebi doing damage to Nidoking and Nidoqueen while switching to avoid their attacks.  After the sixth to eighth switch, Nidoking, exhausted, manages to jump in the air high enough to smack Celebi with it’s tail.  While Celebi takes moderate damage, it is still able to send Nidoking crashing to the ground in a heap with psychic.

Lilla: Wow…

Andi: Nidoqueen, ice beam!

The Millennium Gameboy Advance glows, causing Celebi to disappear and Satolite to reappear (Satolite is in a different location, thus ice beam misses)

Andi: Again!

Yami Benjy: Mirror force!

Ice beam reflects off of mirror force, striking Nidoqueen and the Millennium Gameboy Advance glows again.

Benjy: Water pulse!

Celebi’s water pulse crashes into Nidoqueen, knocking it backwards.

Andi: Ice beam now!

Instead of attacking Celebi, Nidoqueen punches itself in the face, knocking itself out.  Now the Millennium Gameboy Advance glows again.  Ash and company stare at what just happened in disbelief.

Max: He actually–they actually beat them.

Ash: I feel weird…

Yami Benjy: It’s as I predicted.

The Oscar and Andi look at each other confused.  Suddenly they start arguing about who’s fault it was that they lost the battle.  The MGBA glows once to allow Benjy to recall Celebi, and then again to switch back.

Brock: So what was going on with you guys?

Yami Benjy: They were under a magic spell…  Or something of the sort

QST.camera split-screens eight ways to show everyone’s surprise.

Yami Benjy: I caught on when they said they only battled couples of opposite genders.  They’re under a spell that enforces the rules of the battle.  It’s how they can force trainers to battle them, and how they can make them turn on each other.

Tornamistrik: By battle, you mean partake in a shadow game.

Brock: So why didn’t it stop you from challenging them?

Yami Benjy: Apparently it applies to minds and not bodies.

Max: Then why didn’t you guys turn on each other.

May: Because he’s amazing…

Yami Benjy: Because we couldn’t.  Only one of us can be active at a time, meaning we could only have one animon out at a time.  The magic works by causing one animon to get in the space of the other.  By only having one out at once, that wasn’t possible.

Tornamistrik: I’ve heard enough!

Yami Benjy: Huh?

Ash: What?

Lilla: What?

Tornamistrik now turns to the two formerly lovey-dovey and now bickering trainers.

Tornamistrik: Mind control and free will violation!  I’m placing the two of you under citizen’s arrest!

Seeing this, the two trainers attempt to run away, but quickly discover that they aren’t going anywhere due to Satolite’s tractor beam.

Tornamistrik: I’ll turn her into a Mew-girl later.  Right now, this is unacceptable.

Tornamistrik: Summon!  Police!

Tornamistrik takes out a rod and touches it to the ground, causing two Officer Jennies to appear with a pair of Arcanine.

Officer Jenny1: You’re under arrest!

Officer Jenny2: For…  What he said!

The two officer Jennies and Arcanines now march across to the two protesting trainers.

May: Hey…  Where did Team Rocket go?

Brock: I’m sure they blasted off as soon as he called out, "Citizen’s arrest."

Sitting on Ash’s shoulder, Pikachu perks up one of it’s ears.

New Scene()

In the forest, Team Rocket swears revenge on the trainer duo for placing them under a spell.

New Scene(Evening)

Ash and company depart from the restaurant waving goodbye to Lilla and Tornamistrik, however Tornamistrik is too busy fiddling with his Mew-ray to wave to them.

Tornamistrik: Blast!  It’s broken!  I…  That Pikachu must’ve shorted it out!

Narrator: Having won a battle against two magical opponents, Ash and company continue to head towards Rustboro city, however, the day’s events have implied a powerful revelation:

Max: Hey guys!  If what they said was true, that other Benjy must be a girl!

QST.camera now split-screens to show the expressions of everyone’s reactions to this news.  Coming out of the split-screen, QST.camera starts to zoom out…
