The Trigamon Project

The Divine Parody

Season 1: Episode 31: Fenyra's Shimmer (Part 1)

New Scene()

It’s a cloudy night, and Ash and company gather on a knoll overlooking a plain.  May is studying a brochure.

Narrator: And here is where we deviate from the original series significantly.  Bear with us, as Ash and company are about to be on the wildest adventure of their lives so far!

Brock: Are you sure about this?

Coal: Positive.  You’re about to see the real reason I got you all up this early.

Celebi sits in Benjy’s lap while he looks into the sky and Max yawns loudly.  QST.camera shows the time on Coal’s pokétch to be 5:30 a.m.

Max: And this thing is–

Ash: Oh look!

May puts down the brochure.  In the distance, a tank engine is pushing a wheel that lays down tracks, that it in turn runs on.  It is one of three engines, one blue, one green, and one brown.  All three tank engines are fast asleep.

Ash: You see that?

Max: Wow!

Benjy: M-hm.

May: Wait a minute, they have faces.

Ash: Are they, a kind of–

Coal: They’re not pokémon, Ash.  They’re living trains, invented by the mage Sar over 400 years ago.  They even pass the Turing Test.

Max: What’s the "Turing Test?"

Benjy lies down with his hands behind his head.  Celebi jumps to his chest.

Benjy: Invented by Alan Turing after the second world war, it’s used to determine whether a machine is capable of acting like a human.

Brock: Never heard of him.

Benjy: He’s from my planet.

Coal smiles.

Coal: Well, that explains how you know of him.

The trains are now approaching, and Benjy recognizes them as Thomas, Percy, and Toby (from the Thomas the Tank Engine™ series), but doesn’t say anything.  A fleet of trucks drive up, and the carnival begins being set up.  Rides such as a merry-go-round and a ferris wheel are quickly set up, and generators are put in place to power them.  A beacon shines the Eye of Anubis into the sky, and a white helicopter with a sleepy face comes into view.

In the middle-ish of all the commotion, one of the magicians sets up with a wand and some rags, transforming them into a giant tent.

May: How’d he do that?!

Coal: Probably nested dimensions.  Look over there!

A ferris wheel in the shape of a mobius strip sets itself up, leaving Ash and company in shock as it does.  The trains stop, and people get out of the two coaches behind Thomas.  The other two engines are hauling equipment, that is unpacked by people in hard hats.

Benjy: Anne, and Clarabell?!  Is everything that I held to be make-believe actually…

Max asks Coal if they can go to the carnival, but Coal says to wait until they turn off the hard hat sign in the sky.  Coal points upwards at a giant hard hat projected into the sky.

Brock: You know that’s just for legal reasons right?

Coal: Famous last words.

New Scene()

As the sun begins to rise, the hardhat sign goes out, and Ash, May, and Max run towards the fairground.  Brock, Coal, and Benjy walk behind them, but Brock sees the "beautiful" assistant to the magician from earlier, and runs to meet her.  Benjy takes off after him.  As Brock runs up and introduces himself, Benjy grabs him by the arm and drags him away.

Brock: Hey!

Benjy: Just be glad it’s not the ear, Romeo.

the lady just waves goodbye as Brock squirms, unable to break free of Benjy’s grasp.

New Scene(@Temporal = Morning)

Team Rocket (dressed as clowns) jump down the street.

Jessie: Isn’t this the easiest job we’ve had yet!  We’re paid to litter!

Meowth: And clean fecal matter, whatever that is.

James: How bad could it be?

Jessie: I don’t know, but say, "hi" to the thing that’s going to make this job a bunch easier!

James: Isn’t it easy enough?

Jessie replies by taking a paper launcher and blowing leaflets at James, who asks for a try.  Team Rocket now takes turns launching leaflets everywhere.  One of which goes over the rides.

New Scene()

Ash pulls a flyer out of his burger wondering where all the flyers came from.  Max requests it and Ash hands it to him.

Ash and company debate whether to attend the show, but Brock eventually convinces the group to go, his motivation being to see the assistant again.

New Scene()

As the show starts the magi appears on stage.

Butler: Welcome ladies, gentlemen, and all you creatures that fit both or neither category, what you are about to witness is one of the great arts acted by me… The Great Butler!

Muppet Heckler: What are you going to do?  Fetch tea?

The tent is almost completely full.  Butler starts by pulling his wand out of a rag.  He taps his wand and a Mightyena delivers a black top hat, and at another tap a Kirlia pops out of the hat.  Then Kirlia retreats into the hat and Butler waves his wand over the hat.  The hat starts to spark and spin, and suddenly his assistant pops out in a shower of neon blue sparks, holding a light-blue crystal above her head.

Brock: Pulling hot ladies out of hats…, I’ve finally found a career for me. {Whisper}

Yami Benjy: It appears to be a teleportation switch-trick.  Albeit obvious, they seem to like it.

An overweight balding man gets up in front of Benjy and cups his hands over his mouth.

Man: LAME!

Butler: I suppose you could do better…

The man turns his back towards Butler and reaches for his belt loops.

Man: YEAH!  MAGIC THIS!

*Screen Buzzes*

Narrator: Oops, we have to sensor that.
*Screen stops buzzing*

SceneShift(+10 seconds.story)

An upper class lady in the front row begins to cry.

Butler: Okay, now we ignore the peanut gallery.

Muppet Heckler: What about trolls?

The muppet hecklers enjoy a hearty chuckle.  Ignoring them, Butler’s assistant lifts a crystal over her head.

QST.camera now synchronizes with Max’s vision and hearing: Light pours out of the crystal and a voice calls out to him.  In somewhat of a trance, Max gets up and begins to walk towards the stage, QST.camera desynchronizing with Max’s vision and hearing once he’s taken a few steps into the aisle.

May: Hey, Max!  Where are you going!

May’s objection goes unnoticed by Max who continues to walk towards the stage, still in a trance.

May: What’s happening?!

Ash: I’ll stop him!

Ash darts from his seat and runs to catch up with Max, but Max looks back and seeing Ash coming, starts to run towards the stage.  Ash proves faster, and catches up with Max a few paces away from the stage, grabbing him as Butler watches.

Ash: Ehehe.  I’m sorry about my friend here…

Butler smiles down at Ash.  In Ash’s arms, Max tries to grab at the crystal while Ash holds him back.  Butler now addresses the audience.

Butler: Ladies and gentlemen, it just so happens that we need a couple volunteer magi for my next trick.

The crowd applauds.

Ash: So was this his intention to–

Butler: Please, step into this box…

Butler points to a pair of clowns who arrive from the right side of the stage carrying a giant box.  Ash and Max stare at the box.

Ash: Except that, we’re not actually magi…!

Clown2: Yeah, yeah, and we’re not really clowns.

The clown’s comment seems to instantly snap Max out of his trance and he looks around wildly.

#Jirachi_Wishmaker_Reference

Max: You mean to say that you’re really Team Rocket in clown costumes?

Clown1: Whatever gave you that idea?!

Clown2: Just kidding, we really are clowns.

With this the clowns shove Ash and Max into the box, as Butler watches with a slightly maniacal expression.

Butler: Now watch as Dusclops destroys this box with hyper beam!  On the count of ten!

Butler: Hmph.  This should teach those meddlesome kids a lesson.

QST.camera now zooms out to where Benjy, May, Brock, and Coal are sitting.

May: It’s no fair!  How come Ash and Max get to have all the fun!?

Butler: TEN!

Coal: Hold on, May.  Something is–

Butler: NINE!

Coal: –extremely strange here.

Butler: EIGHT!

May: What do you mean?

May’s left side is suddenly illuminated by a bright green light coming from Benjy’s eyes.

Butler: EIGHT!

Brock: Benjy!  Your eyes are–

Benjy: I know!

Butler: SEVEN!

Coal: May, if you want excitement, I highly suggest that you go and save Ash and your brother.

May: Save them?!

Brock: Wait!

Butler: SIX!

Brock: He must’ve something up his sleeve to–

Coal: May, go!  Now!

Sensing desperate urgency in Coal’s words, May jumps up and darts down the aisle.  Butler fails to notice, as he is too preoccupied with his countdown.

Benjy: You sure this is a good idea?

Butler: FIVE!

Coal grits his teeth.

Butler: FOUR!

Coal: I can sense it.  He’s extremely angry.  This is not just some attempt to save his show.

Brock: I think you’re off your rocker…

Butler: THREE!  TWO!  ONE!

As Butler finishes counting, May slams into the box, knocking it about four feet out of the way of Dusclops’s line of fire, putting both May and the box out of harm’s way.

Butler: HYPER BEAM!

Hyper beam fires over May’s legs and straight out of the tent.  It lands somewhere in the festival moments later and causes a large explosion, triggering people to run screaming.  As the audience gasps, Butler looks down at May with a distinctly sinister expression.

May sees this and starts to jump up and begin to run, but something catches her leg, causing her to fall face down.  People in the crowd gasp as May catches herself on the palms of her hands, prompting May to look over her shoulder.  Above her Butler wields a large ball of green energy.

Butler: Going somewhere?!

A split-second later, Butler is knocked off his feet by something that moved too fast to see, and he falls backwards crackling with static electric energy.

New Scene()

People run screaming from Butler’s tent as it is repeatedly rocked with explosions.

Revert Scene()

Back inside Butler’s tent, people are running out of it.  Ash, May, and Max huddle around Yami Benjy, who protects them inside a golden barrier from the electric and magically-charged explosions going on around them.

Ash: Where’s Brock?!

Yami Benjy: I can’t see him anywhere…

Ash: Brock?!?!

May: Max, why did you do that?!

Max: Do what?

May: Run up to the mage-guy.

Ash: Can you not remember.

Max: Sort of…  I think that crystal called to me…

{Ash, May}: What!?

Yami Benjy continues to scan the area for any trace of Brock.  Electricity arcs through the tent, but it is blocked by Yami Benjy’s shield.

Max: I don’t know!

Yami Benjy scans the tent for Brock and Coal.

Butler: Hycooroh–

Coal: Electric Dragon’s Chaos Fist!

Ash and company all suddenly look over to the stage to where Coal and Butler are revealed to have been fighting.  Butler has just taken a punch to the stomach from Coal, and slowly collapses to his knees while Coal’s fist sparks with electricity.

Ash: Coal?!

Coal: I’m fine.  You kids saw nothing, by the way.

May: What do you mean saw nothing, we saw?

Coal: All you saw was us fighting…  No sparks.

Max: Wut.

Refresh Scene()

Ash, May, Max, and Yami Benjy arrive at where Coal has defeated Butler and knocked him to the ground.  Butler starts to attempt to get up, but Coal’s arm crackles with electricity, and Butler collapses back to the stage.  Coal now reaches for the crystal on the ground.

Max: Wait, I…

Coal: I’m confiscating this.

Butler: You can’t do that!

Coal: You know what it is don’t you?

Butler gulps, but says nothing.

Coal: It’s not a magic lacryma.  It’s a cocoon.

May: A cocoon?!

Coal: Yes.  And it called out to Max for a reason.

Ash: What?!

Coal: It might not have been a good reason, but it was for a reason nonetheless.

Coal now turns to Butler.

Coal: I don’t know where you found this, but transporting crystal cocoons is highly illegal.

Butler shivers, and Coal now turns to Ash, May, Max, and Yami Benjy:

Coal: He’s lucky that we stopped him before the authorities did, especially if he was planning on using this cocoon in his magic show.

Someone using a Megaphone: Illegal you say?  And why is that?

Coal looks around to see where the voice is coming from.

Coal: Imagine how you would feel if you woke up and you didn’t know where you were.

Someone using a Megaphone: And you know what we have to say to that?

Coal hands the cocoon to May.

Coal: No, but I can take a wild guess.  Does it sound anything like–

Someone using a Megaphone: Prepare for trouble!

Someone using a Megaphone: And make it double!

Butler gasps as smoke starts filling the tent.

Jessie’s voice: To protect the world from devastation.

James’s voice: To unite all people within our nation.

Jessie’s voice: To denounce the evils of truth and love.

James’s voice: To extend our reach to the stars above.

A hole in the smoke now appears.

Jessie: Jessie!

Jessie enters the smokeless area.

James: James!

James enters the smokeless area.

Jessie: Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light!

James: Surrender now or prepare to fight!

Meowth enters the smokeless area.

Meowth: That’s right!

As Team Rocket makes their appearance, Butler jumps up and tries to grab the cocoon and flee, though he is only successful in the later as May’s grip of the crystal is far too tight.

Max: What do you want?!

James: What we always want.

Yami Benjy reaches for Bayleef’s ball, but Coal stops him.

Coal: Let me handle this; I’m all charged up.

Team Rocket gulps, but then states that they are not giving in, and calls on Seviper and Cacnea, ordering both to attack Coal.

Coal: Electric dragon’s luster shield!

Coal claps his hands together and a static barrier blocks both attacks, causing Cacnea and Seviper to fall to the ground.

Meowth: So he’s electric!

James: Then it’ll be no different from fighting Pikachu!

Jessie nods, and James opens a box that shoots out a rubber glove on a spring.  With lightning reflexes, Coal dodges and grabs the spring, shocking James for a split second before Coal jerks the entire apparatus out of James’s hands and away into the tent behind Ash and company.

Coal: Electric dragon’s, voltaic fissure!

Coal lunges forward, stomping his foot, and unleashing a massive charge towards Team Rocket.  The charge shoots along the ground striking Team Rocket and exploding before Team Rocket knows what’s going on.

New Scene()

As Team Rocket blasts off they talk to themselves.

Meowth: WHAT THE (BLEEP) WAS THAT?!

James: Humans using pokémon attacks…

Jessie: But to be honest, I’ve never seen a pokémon do that…

{Jessie, James, Meowth}: Looks like we’re blasting off again!!!

Seviper: Viper…

A sparkle appears in the sky as Team Rocket hurls into the distance.

Revert Scene()

Coal stares in the direction that Team Rocket blasted off in through the hole in the tent, which was created by said blastoff.  Coal’s arm crackles with static electricity, but this dies down quickly.

May: Woah…

Max: What did you do?!

Coal turns to look at Max curiously.

Coal: Oh nothing.

Ash: Hold on!  It’s like you just used thunderbolt or something.

Coal: Lets say I did then.

Coal turns and begins to look for where Butler went.

Coal: I wonder what he was up to.

May: We’ll never know now though, will we? (upset)

Coal: Never say never.

May fumes and hands off the crystal to Max.

Ash: Maybe the kind of cocoon will tell us something about…

Ash takes out his pokédex and points it at the cocoon.

Ash’s Pokédex: Jirachi, the wish pokémon.  It is said to have the ability to grant any wish for just one week every thousand years.  Generations have believed that any wish written on a note on its head will come true when it awakens.

Ash: So…  Jirachi…

Yami Benjy: Max, what did the cocoon tell you?

Max: I…  I can’t remember…

Coal: It was probably a call for help.  Now that it’s safe, it has no reason to respond.

Max: Um…

Yami Benjy: Question.  Why is it any safer with us that with Butler?

Coal: I get what you’re saying.  But there was no telling what he was planning to do to it.  Jirachi’s a psychic-type pokémon if I’m not mistaken, maybe it can determine your intentions.

Ash: See our intentions?

Coal: That’s just a guess.  And there’s one more thing you should know about Jirachi.  They only awaken once every six hundred years or so.  The pokédex says a thousand, but that’s an over-estimate.

May: Wait a second, where did Brock go?

Coal: Ten bucks says he went to rescue that lovely assistant.

Ash: Brock?!

There is no reply to Ash’s call.

Ash: BROCK?!

Something moves in the rubble, and Ash and May rush over to pull Brock out of the rubble.  As they dig, they cause something to dislodge above them.

Max: Watch out!

Ash and May look up as a beam starts to fall.

Yami Benjy: Tractor beam!

The beam is instantly struck by Pixielite’s blue tractor beam which pulls it from it’s downward trajectory.  Pixielite can’t hold the beam for long, and drops the beam shortly after pulling it away.  The beam clatters to the ground with a clang.  Ash and May now help Brock walk to where everyone gathered.

Ash: Anyone else trapped here?

There is no reply to Ash’s call.

Coal: I don’t think so.  Everyone else was smart enough to evacuate when the fight started, unlike our friend here.

Coal gestures to Brock.

Brock: But she looked like she was in serious trouble…

Coal: I swear.  Brock, you’re a threat to feminists everywhere.

Brock:

Coal: Still, I wouldn’t let a little scuffle prevent us from enjoying the carnival.

Yami Benjy: Has this happened to you before?

Coal: Too many times to count.

New Scene(@Temporal = Very_Early_Evening)

Browsing the booths intently, Benjy and May arrive at a booth with several trinkets laid out.  May begins to pick up one of the symbols, examining it.  Seeing this, the vendor turns his attention to her almost immediately.

Vendor: You have good taste young lady.  You interested in this wishing star?

May: Um…  How does it work?

Vendor: It’s simple.  The millennium comet is going to be in the sky for a week.  Make a wish, then each night that the comet is in the sky, fold down a section of the wishing star.  Legend has it that if this is done all seven nights, your wish will come true.

May stares at the wishing star, then looks at Benjy.

May: How much is it?

May pulls out her wallet and begins to look through it, putting a couple coins on the counter.  The vendor gestures at two of May’s coins.

Vendor: That’ll be sufficient.

May: Really?  Um, ok.

Vendor: Anything for you, young man?

Benjy abruptly stops examining the trinkets and refocuses on the vendor as he puts May’s wishing star into a bag and hands it to her.

Benjy: Does her wishing star come with a warranty?

Vendor: Warranty?

The vendor stares at Benjy blankly.

Vendor: What is that?  I don’t think so…

Benjy: Ungh, nevermind.  Can I have a copy of your card.

This request the vendor understands, and hands Benjy his business card.

Refresh Scene()

As Benjy and May walk away from the booth, the Millennium Gameboy Advance glows.

Yami Benjy: Be careful–he seemed to want to get rid of it badly.

Words escape May, she just has a troubled expression on her face.  She looks down on a the ground, then stares sharply up at Yami Benjy.

May: That’s not funny!

Yami Benjy: I’m not trying to be funny.  And if your wish comes true, you are most likely to regret it.

May: Well, you’re just jealous because you’re not a good wisher!

Yami Benjy: Sure, irrationalize it away.

At this point, Benjy forces Yami Benjy’s spirit back into the MGBA causing it to deactivate.  May notices this change and looks at Benjy slightly more optimistically.

Benjy: I can’t believe he’s never heard of a warranty…

After a little ways of walking, Benjy and May meet back up with the rest of Ash and company, and everyone begins discussing what they did and got.  May eagerly shows her wishing star to the group, prompting Max to inquire about what Benjy got:

Max: Hey Benjy, what did you get?

Benjy: Just some cards.

Max: Oh!  Any rare ones?!

Benjy: Huh?  These…

Benjy pulls his deck of business cards out of his pocket and hands them to Max, who scans them.

Max: These are like the kind of cards that Dad collects…

May: He’d only ask for them when I would buy something.

May gestures to Benjy in saying this.  Max now finishes looking through Benjy’s business cards and hands them back to Benjy.

Max: I thought you got real cards.

Benjy: Sorry.

Brock: He didn’t, but we did.

Max: !

Ash: Hey, look at those!

Everyone turns their heads upwards as fireworks go off in the distance in the shapes of various pokémon (Mudkip, Pikachu, Treecko, Torchic, Zigzagoon, et cetera) and one in the shape of a Kuriboh.  As the group watches the fireworks, Max holds up the cocoon so Jirachi can see them.

New Scene(@Temporal=Evening)

The vendor that sold May the wishing star approaches another vendor and asks him what a warranty is.  The other vendor says he doesn’t know, but he’s heard the term  before, and goes on to briefly describe a situation exactly like what happened with Benjy.

New Scene(@Temporal=Evening)

The clouds begin to part as Ash and company camp on a hill.  Slowly the clouds part and a bright star becomes visible.  May remembers her charm and makes a wish.  Max is sleeping, and May pats him on the head.  He calls her "Mom," so May decides to sing the lullaby that their mother used to sing.  Benjy mentions that he misses his sister, away at college.

Just as May begins to sing, suddenly the crystal glows brightly, and a snapping noise it heard.  Max immediately wakes up and everyone stares at the crystal which is popping and sparking.  Suddenly the crystal breaks open in a shower of sparks and a tiny pokémon emerges, and with it a large energy shockwave, which makes Benjy flinch.

Cutscene() { Somewhere on a mountain, an Absol’s eyes glow green, and it runs off towards the carnival. }

Max: Hey, Jirachi?

Jirachi: Jira!

Max: Was it you who spoke to me earlier.

Jirachi: M-hm.

May: Wait, can you talk?!

Jirachi: M-hm.

May: It’s so cute!

Jirachi: Cute?

Brock: I just noticed Jirachi’s lips didn’t move.  Is it using telepathy?

Jirachi: Telepathy?

Coal: It appears to have a limited vocabulary.

Jirachi: Vocabulary?

Coal: The set of all words that you know.

As May, Max, Coal, and Brock talk to Jirachi, Benjy stares off into the distance.

Ash: Hey Benjy…

Benjy: What?

Ash: What are you doing?

Benjy: It’s hard to put my finger on it, but something makes me very nervous.

Ash: ?

Benjy: Who was that Butler guy?  And why haven’t we reported this to the authorities.

Ash: Coal didn’t want to get him in trouble in case it was an accident…

Benjy: Pssh.

Yami Benjy: I know what you’re feeling, something is rotten in Hoenn.

New Scene()

In the night, Benjy walks through the carnival with Celebi on his shoulder.  Celebi holds onto his hair.  Ash follows close behind him with Pikachu on his shoulder.

Ash: You going to tell the authorities?

Benjy: I’d like to.  I’m sure if it could get Butler in trouble, then he’s probably long gone.  Doubt he’d be in much trouble for an accident.

Ash: I guess that makes sense.

About fifty meters away is a wooden office with the light on.  Benjy and Ash approach it.  As they get close, Benjy knocks on the door.  No one answers, so Benjy pushes the door open and he and Ash both enter the office.  Benjy rings a bell on the counter.

At first, no one answers this, so Benjy rings it again.  A few seconds after this ring, Nurse Joy arrives at the counter in her pajamas.

Nurse Joy: Is someone injured?!

Ash: Uh…  Not exactly.

Nurse Joy: So what’s the matter then.

Ash: Um…

Benjy: Let me explain.  Lets see…  Are you familiar with a magician known as ‘Butler’.

Nurse Joy: Can this please wait until morning?

Benjy: His tent was destroyed this afternoon.

Nurse Joy suddenly looks more awake.

Nurse Joy: What about that?

Benjy: What do you know about him?

Nurse Joy: I’m not sure where you’re going with this, but until he signed up to perform here, I had never heard of him.  He has no track record or anything.

Ash: No track record!?

Nurse Joy: I assumed that he was just a novice, but people tell me he’s much more than that.  Why do you want to know.

Benjy gulps.

Benjy: During Butler’s show…

Nurse Joy: Is this the one that burned his tent down?

Benjy nods.

Nurse Joy: Hold on–

Nurse Joy zips into the back room of the office, then zips back and forth for a few seconds emerging with a man in a cheap suit.  A pair of Officer Jennys (one with red hair, one with blue) peek around the doorway, but pull their heads back when Benjy looks their way.  Benjy takes a step back nervously, closes his eyes and takes a breath.

Nurse Joy: Are you ok?

Benjy nods.

Man: You know why the tent came down?

Benjy: During the show, Butler used this crystal as a prop–

Man: AND IT EXPLODED?!

Benjy: N-No…

Refresh Scene()

Nurse Joy: So the crystal was a Jirachi’s cocoon…

Man: That spoke to a member of the audience…

Nurse Joy: And he had a hissy fit…

Man: That’s good to know.  You children are brave.

Ash: Uhh…

Benjy giggles nervously.

Nurse Joy: We’ll do some more research on Butler in the morning, but transporting Pokémon cocoons isn’t illegal, I don’t think…

Man: I believe it’s a minor infraction.  But assault is in an entirely different category.  Jenny–

Ash and Benjy both jump as the red-haired Officer Jenny emerges through the doorway.

Officer Jenny: How may I be of service.

Man: I need you to find out how Butler got that cocoon.  Do you have the cocoon with you?

Benjy: Um.

Ash: A Jirachi emerged from it.  He’s back with our other friends.

Nurse Joy: I’ll need to see Jirachi, is that okay?

Ash: Um.

Benjy: I suppose.

New Scene()

May, Max, Brock, and Coal, are sitting in their camp.  Max strokes Jirachi, which is sleeping on his lap.  As they hear footsteps, everyone looks up to see Benjy and Ash approaching.  Nurse Joy is a couple yards behind them.

May: What have you boys been up to?

Brock: Ah!  Nurse Joy!  J–

Coal cuts Brock off by elbowing him in the stomach.  Brock falls over backwards.  Nurse Joy now asks to see Jirachi, and Max nervously lets her have access to it.

On one of Ash and company’s coolers, May places a towel, and Max places Jirachi.  Nurse Joy walks over to Jirachi and takes out a stethoscope and uses it to listen to Jirachi’s heartbeat for a moment.

Nurse Joy: Hm…  It looks like it might have a slight anima deficiency.

Brock: Uh–

Ash: What does that mean?

Nurse Joy: It’s a bit tired right now.  I can’t tell if that’s because it just came out of it’s cocoon or something else.

Ash: Like what?

Nurse Joy: I’m not sure.  But it should be fine soon…

As soon as Nurse Joy says this, she falls to the ground asleep.  Fortunately, Brock catches her.  It is now revealed that Coal has just pinched her shoulder, which appears to have caused this.

May: What did you do that for–

Coal: Shh!

May gulps.

Coal: She’ll be fine, don’t worry {whisper}

May: But why did you do that? {whisper}

Coal: Can you smell that… {whisper}

Max: Smell? {whisper}

Suddenly, ten pairs of green eyes appear in the darkness, approaching Ash and company.  The Millennium Gameboy Advance glows, and Yami Benjy grabs a poké ball from his pocket, staring at the eyes.  Suddenly one lunges forwards.

Coal: ELECTRIC DRAGON’S SWORDS OF REVEALING LIGHTNING!!!

Coal slams his hand against the ground and sparking swords of electricity appear in a network around Ash and company, separating them from the ten Mightyena staring them down, five on each side of the camp.

Max: Holy (bleep)!

Refresh Scene()

Ash and company stand around their camp, facing the Mightyena from behind the circle created by Coal’s swords of revealing lightning.

Coal: In one minute my swords are going to wear off!  Prepare yourselves!

May: But you seem fine!

Coal: It has nothing to do with my power; it’s just the kind of spell it is…

Brock: Wait–why did you knock out Nurse Joy?!

Coal: You haven’t realized?  I don’t want just anyone seeing my magic.

QST.camera split-screens to show the expressions of shock on everyone’s faces.

Yami Benjy: Everyone ready?!

Ash: So then back in Slateport when–

Brock: Ash!  It’s not the time for that!

Coal grits his teeth.

Coal: I know what magic looks like.

Suddenly, the swords protecting Ash and Company from the park of Mightyena disappear, and the pokémon lunge at them one after another.  May and Max scream.

Ash: Pikachu, thunder!

Yami Benjy: Celebi!  Water pulse!

Both attacks fire and hit various Mightyena.  However, the Mightyena don’t flinch but rather hang in mid-air.

Pikachu: Pika–CHU!

Pikachu hurls an erratic spark at the Mightyenas, and they all explode into sparkles.

May: What?!

Now the Mightyena on the other side of them charge.  In a flash, Coal calls on Blastoise to use hydro pump on the Mightyena.  These also prove to be illusory.

Ash: What’s going on?!

Brock: Someone’s using double team.

Yami Benjy: Remember that we’re fighting a magi.

Suddenly another Mightyena jumps into the middle of the camp, and in an instant grabs Jirachi in it’s mouth before starting to sprint off.  In a flash, Yami Benjy sends Pixielite after it.  Pixielite catches up with Mightyena about twenty feet from the camp, colliding with Mightyena’s rear in such a way that it yelps and drops Jirachi.  Mightyena looks around confused as to what hit it.

Yami Benjy: Please, retrieve Jirachi!

The Mightyena starts to pick up Jirachi in confusion, but yelps as Pixielite zaps it again, snatching Jirachi in it’s tractor beam, and makes a U-turn back towards the campsite.  Mightyena stares at them, confounded by Pixielite’s speed, then trots over to a shadowy figure in the distance.  Coal gasps.

Coal: Electric dragon's empyrean arrow!

Coal fires off a bolt of electricity at the target, expecting to hit Butler, but instead of firing magic back at him, a woman screams and falls to the ground.  Coal stares absolutely speechless.

Refresh Scene()

In the light of the campsite, Brock and Nurse Joy tend to the lady’s first-degree burns.  Mightyena lies at the lady’s feet, licking it’s paw.

Nurse Joy: Why won’t you tell me what happened?

Lady: Because, you would never believe me, and it’s not important.

Nurse Joy looks between the members of Ash and company nervously.

May: You said your name is Dianne?

The lady, Dianne, nods.

Lady Dianne: Yes.  I’m so sorry for what happened earlier.

Brock: It’s okay; we can’t change the past.

Yami Benjy looks at Dianne curiously.

Yami Benjy: I just want to know why…

Dianne: As his assistant, I should know the answer to that, he’s just been in an extremely foul mood for the last few days, and I don’t know why.

Nurse Joy now finishes applying ointment to, and bandaging Dianne’s arm.

Coal: Are you sure he thought it was a lacryma?

Dianne: I think so.  He rarely gets mixed up like that…

Coal: Hm…  I can’t tell whether your on our side or not, but I’ll play your game for now.

Brock: Maybe the crystals got mixed up?

Dianne: Actually, I can check that.  May I?

Ash starts to respond, but Dianne is talking to Nurse Joy, who tells Dianne to go ahead.  Dianne extracts a small cylinder (about 1.5 cm in diameter, 2 inches long), and uses it to project a small red light beam on Jirachi.

Max: What are you doing?! (panicked)

Dianne now stops the light beam.

Nurse Joy: It’s a scan beam, no different from the your pokédex.

May smiles as Max breathes a sigh of relief.  Dianne now opens her backpack and pulls out a device about the size of a tiny laptop.  She then places the cylinder in it as well as another device of the same kind from her backpack, then flicks the switch and the machine buzzes to life.

Dianne: Let’s see…

Ash: What are you doing?

Dianne: When we found it, we took a scan of it.

Nurse Joy: That machine compares the data of two objects.

As Nurse Joy finishes her comment, the machine makes a noise and displays a green light.

Dianne: Odd…

Brock: What does that mean?

Nurse Joy: Not only was it a Jirachi cocoon, but that Jirachi definitely came from that cocoon.

Dianne:

Brock: What does that mean?

Dianne: I’m going back to tell Butler.

Nurse Joy: I’m coming with you.

Dianne looks at Nurse Joy skeptically, then readily agrees.

Refresh Scene()

Dianne and Nurse Joy head away from the campsite with Mightyena walking between them.  Ash and company watch them walk away.

Yami Benjy: Benjy, are you asleep?

Benjy’s consciousness makes no reply.

Yami Benjy: That’s what I thought.

New Scene(@Temporal = Next_Morning)

Ash and company are in the midst of the carnival.  May sees a face/body paining stand and tries to pull Benjy towards it, but is unsuccessful.  Next to him are Max and Jirachi, both eating from a massive cotton candy cone.  In the distance is the booth from {whatever movie that is where some kid uses it to turn himself into an adult}

May pulls on Benjy’s arm again, but Benjy proves to be beyond immobile.

May: You’re no fun…

Max’s pokénav now rings, although it takes Benjy, May, and Max a few seconds (until the third ring) to find it.  Max now picks it up to find that Ash is calling to inform them that Brock won a prize at one of the booths.  Hearing this, May, Max, and Benjy immediately head over in the direction that Ash mentions.

New Scene()

May, Max, and Benjy head over to where Ash and Brock are located.

Max: Brock, you won something?!

Brock doesn’t reply, but keeps staring straight ahead.

Ash: M-hm…

May turns to Max and whispers to him, "I’ll bet he’s hoping its a date."

Coal: No (bleep), Sherlock.

Coal’s abrupt arrival shocks May and Max, causing them to jump.

A man now comes out from behind the booth carrying a poké ball and a massive pile of forms, which he places in front of Brock, causing him to snap back to reality.

Man: All you now have to do is sign here, here, here, here, here, and initial this box.

Every time the man says ‘here’ he points to a different location in the gigantic pile of forms.  Brock pulls the first form off of the stack and begins to scan through it.

Man: Nonono…  You don’t need to read them!  It’s just standard legal–

The man cuts himself off as Coal and Benjy also take forms and begin to read them.  (Benjy takes two; one for Yami Benjy to read).  While the man frets, Benjy, Brock, and Coal read through the paperwork, with Brock signing things occasionally and checking boxes.  After about 15 to 25 seconds of this (real time), Brock hands the man two piles of paperwork, one signed, and one unsigned.

Man: Okay, you’re almost done!  I’ll just need you to complete some offers and–

The man stops talking as he sees Ash and company walking away.  The poké ball on the table is gone too.

Man: Hey!  Get back here!

QST.camera now switches to Ash and company.

Ash: Coal, I thought you were going to see what was the deal with Butler and Dianne?

Coal: I did, they asked me to come get you.

At this point, the man from earlier, runs up alongside the group.

Man: Hey!  You kids forgot to complete the offers!

Max: Forgot?

Brock: We’re not interested.

Man: It’s a mandatory requirement of accepting our prize!

Ash: What?

Man: You must complete the offers, otherwise it’s stealing!

With this, Coal bonks the man with his arm, causing the man’s papers to fly everywhere.  As the group continues to move ahead, Benjy stays behind to confront the  man.  Ash and company notice this and stop walking.  Benjy steps on a paper to prevent the wind from blowing it away.

Benjy: We didn’t touch your poké ball.

Coal: Now get lost.

Man: …You didn’t touch it…

Benjy: …m-m…

Benjy shakes his head as the man stares, exasperated, at Ash and company.  His grasp on the papers loosens to the extent that a sudden gust of wind blows them out of his hands.

New Scene()

Ash and company approach Butler’s (now repaired) tent.  Despite the call, no one is outside to greet them.  Ash and company nervously stare at the entrance to the tent, and Coal cautiously goes inside, with everyone else following him.

Coal: You there?

Dianne: Coal!

Brock: Uh– Dianne!

Benjy carefully scans the room, as does Yami Benjy, their gaze sweeping the tent’s inside in opposite directions.  In a corner of the tent, the red-haired Officer Jenny stands with the carnival manager, talking to Butler.

Butler: You kids brought the Jirachi?

Ash nods, while May and Max say nothing.  Jirachi stares at Butler from atop Max’s head, where Butler spies it.  Butler starts to approach Jirachi slowly.  Jirachi suddenly shivers and Butler stops in his tracks.

Butler: Is that the Jirachi that came out of the crystal last night?

Max: M-hm?

Butler looks to Dianne, nervously.

Butler: You’re sure of this?

Dianne: I tested it against the scan we took.  It’s a perfect match.

Butler: Son of a gun–

Butler asks Max to see Jirachi, but when he approaches, Jirachi uses it’s psychic power to push him backwards with a blast of air.

Brock: I don’t think Jirachi wants to–

Butler: Hm.

Butler backs away as Jirachi relaxes again on Max’s head.  Butler walks back to where Dianne is.

Butler: Well than that explains the unusually high anima level.

Dianne: The legend says that Jirachi needs a partner of sorts to awaken.  I guess it chose Max.

Ash: Jirachi needs a partner?

Butler and Dianne look up, surprised that they were overheard.

Dianne: It’s one legend, yes.

Max: And it chose me?

May stares at Max nervously.

Coal: I heard this too.  The person who told me this said that the partner is usually another Jirachi.  But since it’s so far from it’s home, I guess that wasn’t an option.

Butler silently groans.

Butler: Well, I guess Jirachi should stay with you then.  Be good with it.

Max’s eyes light up as Butler says this; and Butler lets out a massive sigh.

The Millennium Gameboy Advance glows slightly.

Yami Benjy: While this is all good and well, I have another question.  Why did you attack us?

Butler: My real answer?  I thought you were part of Team Rocket.

Ash: Thought we were Team Rocket?!

Butler: Yes.  I’ve heard rumors of their activity around these parts.

Max: Is he referring to Jessie, James, and Meowth? (whisper to May)

May shrugs, which goes unnoticed by Butler.

Butler: And your friend mistook me as a cocoon smuggler.

Coal: And I’m still not convinced…

Suddenly, a low rumbling echoes through the tent.

Hidden Jessie: Megaphone: And as far as you know, the rumors are true!

Butler, along with Ash and company gasp, and suddenly steam starts pouring out of the stage.

Yami Benjy: Didn’t we just go through this yesterday?

Hidden Jessie: Why yes we did, so prepare for trouble.

Hidden James: Second times the charm, so make it double.

Hidden Jessie: To protect the world from devastation;

Hidden James: To unite all people within our nation;

Hidden Jessie: To denounce the evils of truth and love;

Hidden James: To extend our reach to the stars above;

Faced with the onslaught of steam, Butler uses a wind spell to start blowing it away.  Pixielite and Beautifly also flap their wings to aid the effort; this slowly pushes the steam back to where Team Rocket is revealed.

Jessie: Jessie!

(As she says this, James is revealed)

James: James!

(As he says this, Jessie is revealed)

Jessie: Team Rocket blasts off at the speed of light!

James: Surrender now; or prepare to fight!

With this, Meowth tumbles down from the rafters.

Meowth: Meowth, that’s right!

Refresh Scene()

Ash and company, along with Butler, Dianne, et cetera, all stare at Team Rocket standing on the stage in a small hole in the cloud of steam surrounding them.

Ash: You guys are darn persistent.

Butler: What–

Coal: You know that it’s considered insane to do the same thing each time, expecting a different result.

James: Insane you say?  I thought they removed that word from the dictionary!

Brock: You’re thinking of "Gullible."

Meowth: Hah!  "Gullible" was never in the dictionary.

Butler suddenly turns to Dianne.

Butler: Wait, if those guys are Team Rocket; then who are the kids?

Jessie: And who says it’s going to end the same way, anyway?

Ash: I do!  Pikachu, thunderbolt!

Pikachu shoots off an electric charge which arcs towards the stage, but Team Rocket doesn’t move, as the charge hits the stage, and not Team Rocket.

Jessie: Nice try, but the stage is grounded.

Yami Benjy: But you can’t ground grass attacks!  Bayleef, leech seed!

In a moment, Bayleef leaps from it’s poké ball and fires three leech seeds at the stage.  While Jessie, James, and Meowth jump out of the way, Wobbuffet emerges from it’s poké ball just in time to get smacked with two of the leech seeds.

James: Cacnea, needle sprinkler!

Cacnea emerges from it’s poké ball and fires a barrage of needles at Bayleef.

Yami Benjy: Razor leaf!

Razor leaf does little to deflect the needles, and seeing Bayleef in pain, Yami Benjy steps in the way to block some of the needles.

Jessie: Seviper, finish him with poison tail!

Ash has Pikachu use thunderbolt on Seviper, but the stage absorbs the attack; Wobbuffet is shocked as well.

Coal: Feraligatr, intercept!

Coal tosses a poké ball and before Seviper can collide with Yami Benjy, Feraligatr catches it.  Almost simultaneously, Jessie tells Wobbuffet to use mirror coat.

Butler: Mightyena!  Dusclops!

Butler’s Mightyena and Dusclops emerge from their poké balls, with Mightyena intercepting mirror coat; harmlessly.

Butler: Dusclops, ice beam!

Yami Benjy: Magical leaf!

Cacnea manages to dodge ice beam, but it is smacked hard with magical leaf.  Without waiting for instruction, Feraligatr hurls Seviper into Team Rocket.

Jessie: Seviper–

Coal: Hydro pump.

Immediately, Feraligatr fires a powerful blast of water at the stage and Team Rocket.  The stage breaks from the impact, leaving Team Rocket in a heap at it’s center.

James: Oh (bleep)

Ash: Now Pikachu–

May: Beautifly!

Ash: Thunderbolt!

May: Silver wind!

The two attacks shot at Team Rocket appear to merge in mid-air.  The second that they interact with the stage, they explode in a powerful blast.  Team Rocket doesn’t go flying into the sky, but instead flying all over the room.

Officer Jenny: Thanks kids.  I’ll take care of these guys now–

At the sound of Officer Jenny’s voice, Team Rocket and their pokémon snap out of their frazzled state.  Officer Jenny can only take a single step before Team Rocket has grabbed all of their pokémon and taken off, ripping a large hole in the tent.

Team Rocket: Looks like we’re blasting off again!

James: And we’re not insane!

Narrator: Beg to differ.

Refresh Scene()

Coal, Brock, and Butler stare at the wreckage of the small stage, trying to figure out the best way to fix it.  Across the room, Ash asks the red-haired Officer Jenny who Jirachi belongs to.  She replies that Jirachi doesn’t belong to anyone, confusing Ash slightly.

Ash: So could anyone just catch Jirachi then?

Officer Jenny: It’s sort of a legal gray area, but I wouldn’t recommend it.  Why?  Were you thinking about it?

Officer Jenny now winks at Ash, confusing him even more.  Across the room, Benjy sits down on one of the benches, where May and Max look at him worried.

Max: You okay?!

Benjy: No…

Officer Jenny: I’ll now be taking my leave…

Butler: Now that that’s cleared up, we still have a show to put on this afternoon.

Coal: Ok, then.

Coal turns to the rest of Ash and company.

Coal: Alright guys, they have a show to put on.  Let’s let them get ready.

Dianne: Um, actually, we’re down two clowns… could you kids–

Coal: I’m sorry, it’s more important that we return Jirachi to it’s home–

Brock: Coal, we’ll do that afterwards.

Brock: This is a once in a lifetime chance to be in a show with Dianne!

Coal: Idiot…

Butler: I don’t think getting Jirachi home is all that urgent, it seems fine right now.

Coal: Maybe…

Dianne: Alright, we need two clowns…

Brock immediately volunteers, while May and Max quickly disappear.  Dianne turns her gaze towards Benjy who is resting on one of the benches.

Benjy: Sorry, I’m allergic to clowns…I mean makeup…

Coal: How long is your show in?

Butler: We’ve got a couple hours.

Coal nods, and Max announces that he and Jirachi are going to explore the carnival.

Coal: Just be back before it gets dark, okay?

Max nods, and he and Jirachi head out.  Dianne goes over to one of the boxes to get something, and Butler looks over at Coal, only to find that Coal has disappeared.

New Scene()

Butler descends some steps into an underground room with a bunch of machinery in it, still wondering who Coal is, and why he would attack a cocoon smuggler immediately.

Butler: He can’t be Team Aqua; that just doesn’t make sense.

Butler: Just some kind of weird …magi?  Maybe one of those "Starlight Strands" folk?  But that doesn’t make sense either…

From the room above Butler, May’s voice cuts in:

May: I am NOT wearing that!

New Scene(Late-Afternoon)

Many people have lined up to see Butler’s show, which has a sign outside saying that you must be over 12 years old to enter (15+ recommended); Benjy stands outside checking IDs, and allowing people into the tent one at a time.  Celebi is sitting on Benjy’s shoulder, and taps him anxiously to tell him that the show is about to start, and Benjy starts checking IDs faster, with Celebi flying to certain people and giving them a few seconds to get their IDs ready.

Once everyone is in the tent, Benjy enters the tent after them and closes the curtains, making the tent dark like a theater.  On the stage, Ash and Brock are dressed like construction workers, pretending to dig.

Benjy now silently slips out of the tent back into daylight.  A few seconds afterwards, Dianne walks onto the stage, wearing a very skimpy outfit.  Brock has a massive nose bleed as Ash stares between Brock and Dianne in confusion.

New Scene()

Backstage, May is moving things around and getting props ready and placing them on a cushion where they’re teleported away.  A green orb appears on the cushion, and May’s Torchic shoots fire at it, destroying it.  It is followed by a yellow orb, then a blue orb.  May and Torchic hear the audience cheer once Torchic has destroyed the second orb.

As Torchic destroys the orbs, May notices a tear in the cloth of the tent letting light in and goes over to investigate.  As she does, she touches it, and notices that she has a tiny bit (not enough to be harmful) of stun spore on her glove.  May then peers through the tear and gasps.  Quickly, she calls on Skitty to help Torchic destroy the orbs, and Beautifly to come with her.

Outside the tent, Benjy, Celebi, Bayleef, and Pixielite are panting injured on the ground as May comes running with Beautifly.

May: Benjy!  What happened?!

Benjy looks over at May.

Benjy: Wild…  Absol?  I think.

May: Absol?

May quickly takes out her Pokédex and presses a button:

May’s Pokédex: Absol, the disaster Pokémon.

Benjy: I think that sums it up nicely.

May’s Pokédex: Rumored to sense disasters with its horn, Absol were mistakenly connected with these disasters and forced to flee deep into the mountains.  They can live over a century.

May: D–do you think its connected with my wishing star?

Benjy: That’s highly unlikely.  I think the pokédex is referring to natural disasters.

May: Are you hurt?!

Benjy: Not really…

Benjy collapses back onto the ground.

Benjy: Just exhausted.  And I bet in this carnival, Absol is probably traumatized.

May shivers as Benjy says this.

QST.camera shifts upwards to where Team Rocket’s Balloon floats in the air overhead, while Team Rocket spies on Benjy and May.  As Team Rocket talks, chibi mini-scenes of what they are talking about play in thought bubbles over their heads.

James: Absol, disaster…

Jessie: Their disaster is our lucky day!

James: But our disasters are also their lucky day…

Meowth: Forget about that Absol, that thing the small twerp has got with him is supposedly another legendary pokémon!

James: But if Absol is here too, won’t it just turn into a legendary disaster?

Meowth: Stop being so pessimistic!  As far as I can tell, it can only do two things: grant wishes and teleport stuff.  So, our first wish should be that it doesn’t teleport away from us once we catch it!

James: But what if it only gives us one wish?

Jessie: We can fix that…

Team Rocket now begins to chuckle maniacally, while below them, May helps Benjy to his feet.

New Scene()

With May helping (and Benjy resting) backstage, Max comes in to check in, as he promised Coal.

Max: May, have you seen Coal?

May shakes her head.

Max: That’s odd.  Oh, Benjy.  I found Shroomish!

Max removes Shroomish from his backpack and hands it to Benjy.  Shroomish appears to be recovering from being knocked out.  Max now removes his glasses to wipe the lenses; Jirachi watches as they sparkle.

Jirachi: Shiny!

Max: These are my glasses–

In an instant, Jirachi teleports Max’s glasses to it.

Max: Aah!  My glasses!

Jirachi: Pretty!  Pretty!  Shiny!  Shiny!  Pretty!  Pretty!  Shiny!  Shiny!

#Reference: "My Gym Partner’s a Monkey"

Max starts to panic about his glasses as he tries to grab Jirachi to get his glasses back.

Jirachi: Pretty!  Pretty!  Shiny–

Unable to see more than a foot in front of him, Max bonks his shin on something and yelps.  This causes something to slide and a ladder to come crashing down.  Seeing Max in pain, Jirachi flies over to him, giving Benjy the opportunity to snatch Max’s glasses off of Jirachi and return them to him, giving Jirachi a disapproving glance.

With the show now over, Butler, Dianne, Ash and Brock rush to see what the matter is.  May explains what happened as Brock tends to Max’s bruise.  As soon as Max has his glasses adjusted properly, he points out that there is a tear in the tent wall.  Everyone stares at it, save for Benjy who looks around the tear.  Behind some boxes, something is hanging out that resembles an Absol’s tail, however it is unusually high up.

Cautiously and quietly, Benjy removes Pixielite’s capsule from his pocket.

Dianne: Is anyone there?

Absol: Sol!

With this, the Absol jumps down from a pile of things straight for Dianne.  The Millennium Gameboy Advance glows slightly.

Yami Benjy: Pixielite, mirror force!

Pixielite’s mirror force creates a rainbow-colored bubble, which Absol jumps into.  The bubble then throws Absol back into the pile of stuff, making junk fly everywhere.  Absol then fires an array of razor winds at Ash and company, and Ash has Pikachu blast it with a thunderbolt.  Absol dodges by leaping over everyone and thunderbolt explodes the pile of junk.  Absol gears up to fire another razor wind, prompting May to have Beautifly counter it with silver wind.  Silver wind proves no match for razor wind and Absol KOs Beautifly in one hit.

Butler calls on Dusclops, but Absol strikes it multiple times with dark pulse, also knocking it out, before starting to advance upon the group.  Absol now leaps forwards, but Butler suddenly pushes a button on a remote, causing a trap door to open under Absol, causing it to fall into a cage.  Butler runs over to the tent wall and operates some control panel, bringing the cage to floor level.  Despite being boxed in, Absol furiously attacks the cage, trying to break out.

Yami Benjy: Butler.

Butler turns to Yami Benjy nervously.

Yami Benjy: We first thought that that Absol was simply overwhelmed; but it appears as if it was drawn here.

Dianne: What do you mean?

Absol’s horn quivers slightly.

Butler: You’ve seen it before?

Yami Benjy: It’s been roaming the carnival today.  We should either catch it or release it soon, nothing good will come of holding it like that for very long.

Butler seems to nod in agreement.

Dianne: Yeah, I get nervous seeing it like that…

Butler: Alright then.  I’ll contact the admin about it.  For the mean time, Kirlia, use hypnosis!

Kirlia’s hypnosis hits Absol, making it fall asleep, although Absol is obviously struggling to stay awake throughout the entire process.

New Scene(@Temporal = Evening)

Ash and company (not including Coal) are sitting at their campsite, as Brock prepares dinner.  The wind blows through their camp, and everyone shivers.  Max huddles with Jirachi as they try to keep each other warm.

As they talk around the fire, Dianne approaches in the distance.  When she gets close enough, she invites Ash and company to come to their trailer to get out of the cold.  Benjy is hesitant, but Brock jumps at the opportunity.

New Scene()

With the sky slowly getting darker; Brock now has his cooking pot set outside the trailer while everyone else is waiting inside.

Brock: Guys, dinner time!

Ash and company come out of the trailer to get food.  Dianne also emerges from the trailer to see what’s going on, and Brock offers her some of his stew.  She expresses that she likes it, causing Brock to blush.

New Scene()

Butler is in his tent, which has now transformed into some kind of strange laboratory with alchemic runes and machinery everywhere.

Butler: They say Humankind cannot progress without also loosing something equally precious.  Maxie, you asked me for a Groudon.  I shall not disappoint you.

#Reference: "Fullmetal Alchemist"

With this, Butler leaves his laboratory.
