The Trigamon Project

The Divine Parody

Season 1: Episode 22: Legend of Celebi (Part 1)

New Scene(Previously_On_Trigamon) {

Rain suddenly starts to fall, and then starts to fall especially hard on Camerupt, which slows it down significantly.  Camerupt quickly seems to forget what it’s doing and looks around curiously.  It sees some vegetables, and quickly goes over to much on them.  QST.camera shifts back to the humans watching (minus Vito).

Victoria: Wow, a freak rainfall…  We really lucked out.

Coal turns to where Vito is situated, watching them in the rocks.

Coal: That wasn’t luck.

Coal doesn’t point, but the Winstraights suddenly turn towards where Coal is looking.

Refresh Scene()

In the distance, Vito begins to climb down from the rocks, eventually landing in the garden.

Vito: Coal.

May: Who’s that?

QST.camera now zooms in somewhat on Vito, enough to see him clearly despite the darkness.

Vito: It’s Vito.  You owe me a rematch!

}

New Scene(&Continue(Previously_On_Trigamon))

Coal: That I do!  But can it wait until morning?

Narrator: The Winstraights have all gathered, and Vito seems to have a bone to pick with Coal.  But just how do they know each other?!

<<Theme Song>>

New Scene(@Temporal = Night)

Ash, May, Max, Brock, and Benjy are lying on beds in a room, with the light off.

Ash: I don’t understand, does Vito know Coal from somewhere?

May: And they seem pretty upset?  Did something happen?!

Brock: I didn’t get a chance to ask him.

Benjy: Can we deal with it in the morning?  I want to go to sleep…

Ash: It just burns me up not knowing…

May: But at least all the Winstraights are back together, right?

Benjy: Please…  Let me go to sleep…

QST.camera zooms out of the room, looking down at the Winstraights house in the night.  Crickets and Kriketot chirping can be heard.

New Scene(@Temporal = Morning)

Benjy is helping Victoria Winstraight get breakfast ready, not actually cooking anything, but by setting the table.  QST.camera shifts into the dining room where Vicky, Vivi, Ash, May, and Max are waiting.

Vicky: I’m nervous, what’s going on with those two?

Ash: I don’t know, something about the pokémon league.  Brock’s really good at diffusing those kinds of upsets.

Vicky: Hmph.  If I was younger I would go out there and show both of those clowns a thing or two!

At this time, Benjy enters the room carrying breakfasts.

Benjy: I hate to say it, but I don’t think you could even hold your own against Coal.

Benjy sets breakfast down in front of Vicky, then in front of Max and Vivi, before turning to Ash and May.

Benjy: Yours is coming.

With this, Benjy returns to the kitchen.  Max starts eating immediately.

Vicky: I swear!  You wouldn’t stand a chance against Vito either!

Max: I don’t think Benjy was trying to brag…

May: I’ve got a feeling, we haven’t even seen his true power.  If he was in the Pokémon league…

Ash: I was in the league too, you know.

Vicky: Hmph!

Vivi: Grandma!

Benjy now returns from the dining area with two more breakfasts.

Vicky: I bet he lost to Vito!

Benjy: I’ve got a feeling that the opposite happened…

Benjy now sets breakfasts down in front of Ash and in front of May.

Benjy: Hence what I said earlier.

Vicky: Don’t be silly–

Ash: That’s what I heard too?  Right May?

May: Yeah, I talked to him this morning.  In the second round.

May pauses to chew and swallow.

May: Coal destroyed him.

Vicky stares at her food dumbstruck.  Ash now finishes his bite of food.

Ash: Yeah, you don’t usually go demanding a rematch against someone you beat.

The door now opens and Benjy turns towards it.  Brock walks into the room looking emotionally drained, and closes the sliding glass door behind him.

Brock: Ash…, Benjy…

Ash: ?

Brock: It’s a little bit beyond my, well…

Brock pulls up a chair.  May has now finished her food.

May: What happened?

Brock: You’ll have to ask them…  It’s complicated.

Brock puts his head down on the table, while Ash, May, Max, and Benjy stare at him nervously.

New Scene()

Benjy, followed by May, exit the house into the garden where Coal and Vito are, along with Victor Winstraight, who seems really nervous.

May: They don’t seem angry… (whisper)

Benjy: Hey guys…

Vito seems to notice them out of the corner of his eye, but Coal seems too busy trying to keep himself calm to notice them.  This is evidenced by Coal’s heavy breathing and clenched teeth.

May: Coal?  I’ve never seen you like this…

Coal takes a couple deep breaths.

Coal: Sorry May.

May: What’s the matter, I thought you won?

Vito: Against me he did, but not the entire league.

May: So…

Coal: I didn’t have Swampert back then…

With this, Coal sits down on the ground.

Vito: Coal came in number two.  He lost to a trainer named Xenon.

May: Xenon?

Benjy: Isn’t that the name of a noble gas?

Coal: Please don’t say that name around me, I’m trying to move on.

With this, Coal collapses on the ground and passes out, making those looking on really nervous.  (Coal appears to pass out because he’s stressed out, and the stress is making him tired).

Victor: I guess you’re not getting a rematch today…

Benjy: Coal?

New Scene()

Vicky peers in the doorway of a bedroom with a single bed which Coal is lying in, staring at the ceiling.

Coal: After everything I did to bury that nightmare…  Why?!

New Scene()

Vito sits on a couch in a living room area staring at a television which is powered off.

Vito: I wish I could say it's good to be home, but it doesn’t feel right.

Footsteps by the doorway cause Vito to turn towards it, as Ash enters the room.

Ash: Hey Vito, are you feeling alright?

Vito: Kinda.

Vito looks down nervously.

Ash: What were you going to do if you won?

Vito: I don’t really know.  When I got to Ever Grande, everyone was as strong with me or stronger.  I won the first match by the skin of my teeth, and then…

Ash: …Sorry…

Vito: I think Coal took it harder than I did.

Ash: But he beat you easily right…  I mean…  Sorry…

Vito: It’s fine.  I didn’t think about what happened much in that final match, it just made me even more upset that the person I lost to lost himself.

Ash nods.

Vito: I planned to hunt both Coal and Xenon down individually, and defeat them in that order.

Max’s voice: And after that?

Ash and Vito both look up to see that Max has joined them while they were talking.  QST.camera shifts and zooms out to show Max as well.

Vito: I didn’t plan that far ahead.  I didn’t watch the final match between Coal and Xenon, but from what I heard it wasn’t like any battle I had ever known.

Max: So what do you know about this Xenon?

Vito: Not much.  The ladies absolutely…

Max’s glasses sparkle.

Vito: …hated him.

Ash: Hold on…

Vito: They weren’t too fond of Coal either from what I hear, but they couldn’t stand Xenon.

Ash: About this battle though…

Vito: I don’t know much about it.  I didn’t watch it.  I left Ever Grande the next day, and apparently Coal did too.

Max: It must’ve been really intense though, if Coal took it as hard as he did…

Vito: I don’t know anything about it.  It wasn’t like anything anyone had ever seen before, or so they say, but I didn’t see it.

Max: Do you know anyone who did?

Vito: Hmm, maybe…

New Scene()

Yami Benjy walks up to the foot of the bed where Coal is lying down.  Coal’s Pichu pops out of his shirt and walks over to Yami Benjy, possibly expecting food.

Yami Benjy: Coal.

Coal doesn’t respond, and remains staring up at the ceiling.

Yami Benjy: We still need to get to Fallarbor Town.

Coal: I know.

Coal closes his eyes tightly, then opens them and sits up.

Coal: I know.

After a brief moment, Coal starts to stand up.

Coal: We’ve still got quite a ways to go though.  Pichu.

Coal’s Pichu darts over to his side, and onto his shoulder as he stands up.

Coal: Yeah, we shouldn’t overstay our welcome.

New Scene()

Ash and company have gathered by the garden gate.  Vivi Winstraight stands nearby.  Vito now approaches the group with a packed backpack.

Vito: Alright, everyone ready to head to Fallarbor Town?

Ash, May, Max, and Yami Benjy echo agreement.  Vito turns to Vivi.

Vito: Tell Mom and dad we left, okay?

May: Wait, Vito.  Are you coming with us?

Vito: You’re heading to Fallarbor right?  There was someone there that I need to pay a visit to.

Vivi: Um…

Victoria: Wait!

Victoria exits the house, and comes running towards the group.

Vito: Mom–

Victoria: Take these with you!

Victoria pushes a bundle of food into Vito’s arms, and then into the arms of Ash and company.

Benjy: We’re okay, we–

Victoria doesn’t stop to rethink her actions.

Victoria: I’m not about to let you kids go hungry!

Brock: No, seriously, I’ve got a whole kitchen in my backpack…  Well, actually several.

Refresh Scene()

The Winstraights wave to Ash and company (+Vito) as they head out through the garden gate.  By the amount of food by Victoria, it appears Ash and company have accepted some of it, but not all of it.  Ash and company, as well as Vito, wave back as they head towards the forest.  QST.camera switches angles to follow them better through the forest, eventually settling down on an overhead view.

Refresh Scene()

Ash and company (+Vito) make their way through the soot-covered forest.

Ash: So what do you have to do in Fallarbor Town?

Vito: There are a couple of people I wanted to talk to.

Max: About what?

Vito: What I’m doing next, et cetera.  Though it’s mostly private matters.

Brock: Well, you’re welcome to travel with us.

This comment seems to make Coal slightly uneasy, although he does his best to hide it.

Vito: No thanks, just to Fallarbor.  I have some things to attend to.

May: Like what?

Vito: I’m sorry, I really don’t want to talk about it.

Max: Come on…

Coal: Just let it go.  We have our own objectives.

May and Max are taken by surprise by Coal’s tone.  Max turns to Benjy.

Max: All you care about is getting home, right?

Brock: Max, that’s rude–

Max: Well, it’s true

Benjy: Well, I wouldn’t say it’s all I care about…  I…

Max: Uh-huh.

Benjy: Ideally there would be a way to connect this world to my home so can I come visit.  But I think that’s out of the question.

This comment surprises both Ash and May.

Coal: You never know.

Brock: Starting to like it here?

Following this comment, the vibrations of the seven of them walking cause a large pile of soot to fall from the branches of a nearby tree.  The group continues to walk for a few seconds (real time), before Benjy’s eyes start to glow faintly.  At first no one notices, but the glow becomes stronger as they walk along through the forest.  Benjy’s left eye glows purple and his right eye glows green.

Due to the gradual intensity of the glow, Benjy is unaware of it until the shifted colors of his vision cause him to nearly crash into a tree.  By now Benjy’s eyes are glowing quite strongly.  Benjy backs up and looks at the tree curiously.

May: Benjy, are you okay?

Benjy takes another step backwards, nearly crashing into Max.

Benjy: I think so…  How did I miss a tree??

Benjy turns towards everyone else, who all step back in surprise.  QST.camera synchronizes with Benjy’s vision as he watches everyone.  Benjy turns towards the others.

Vito: Wow…

Benjy: ?

Brock: I didn’t see you being from another world before, but now I believe it.

Max: I guess this is what they call, "seeing is believing."

Benjy turns his head to the side to examine Brock more closely, then takes a large step backwards (further down the trail) and nearly crashes into the same tree again.

Benjy: Um…  Excuse me–

May: Benjy, your eyes are *glowing.*

Benjy: Glowing?

Ash: You’re right eye is purple.  Your left is green.

Benjy stares down at his hands curiously, with QST.camera still synchronized to his vision.  Everything looks tinted yet blended together.  Suddenly a piece of 8.5 by 11 inch paper is handed to Benjy, and Benjy looks up to see that Ash handed it to him.  Benjy then takes the paper and stares at it for a few seconds, before sitting down.

Benjy: Not again…

Max: Again?

Ash: It’s happened before?

Benjy: Everything looks whitewashed, or off-white-washed.  I’ve had this happen before yes, but not since coming here.

Vito: I’ve never seen anything like it.

Benjy: And as far as I remember not this color combination either.

Yami Benjy: I think the purple glow is new altogether.

Refresh Scene(@Temporal = Noon)

Ash and company (+Vito) are sitting in the forest under the trees, meanwhile Benjy’s eyes are still glowing brightly.

Vito: What was going on the last time this happened?

Benjy hesitates.

Benjy: Last time…

Cutscene(Flashback) {

Benjy is at standing in the courtyard at Realie in the pouring rain, talking to Marlin.

Benjy: Well…  My umbrella might become a giant lightning-rod before that.

With this, Benjy takes off across the courtyard towards the main building, Pixielite clinging to the inside of Benjy’s umbrella.  As Benjy approaches the center of the courtyard, his eyes begin to shine with a green light.

}

Benjy: And like that, so they say, I was here.

Ash: So it was literally seconds before you arrived.

Max: Coal, does that give you any ideas?

Coal: I’ve never seen anything even remotely like it.  Unless space is about to break open somewhere nearby, I have no idea.

Ash: Hey, at least you might be able to go home soon…

An uncomfortable silence follows this comment for several seconds.

Benjy: If I’m lucky…  But it’s a rather abrupt farewell.  I’m sorry…

The uncomfortable silence returns for about three seconds (real time), before Benjy’s eyes suddenly start glowing so brilliantly that they obscure everything for both Ash and company (+Vito) and QST.camera.

May: Is this what happened last time?! (panicked)

Benjy: It’s never been this bright!

The light intensifies again for a brief moment (about a half-second (real time)) then fades abruptly, leaving Benjy lying on his back with spirals on his eyes.

May: Benjy?!  Did we miss it?!

Benjy: Um…  Maybe…

Brock: And that’s what I call being blinded by the light.

Benjy: Ow…

Max: You guys think space actually broke open?

Benjy: If it did…

Benjy pulls himself into a sitting position.

Benjy: You guys need to be careful not to fall into another universe.

Benjy: Of all the places I could have wound up, I guess I was lucky.  This planet is habitable.  If we fall into a hole is space we might wind up in outer space.  In fact, landing on a planet like this one is extremely unlikely, statistically.  The chances that I’d just wind up here and then suddenly be send back are near ze–

Benjy is cut off by a crackling sound, and then a pulse of blue light in the distance.

Benjy: Hold that thought!

Benjy jumps to his feet and takes off across the forest, and everyone else quickly rushes after him.

Brock: Benjy!  But you just said–

Benjy: I never said I was going to run straight into it!

Benjy picks up a large stick and keeps running, with everyone else following him.

Coal: I think he’s going to test it first.

Narrator: Running with sticks…  Don’t do this at home.  Or anywhere else for that matter.

Benjy: But I’m not going to pass up a chance to investigate!

The glow from before returns to Benjy’s eyes and he slows down slightly as so not to crash into trees.  After about three seconds (real time) of running the glow fades, then returns for one second two seconds later, before fading again.

Benjy now seems to have lost the trail and enters a nearby clearing, walking stick in hand, carrying it like a staff.

Benjy: Where did…  It go…

Benjy takes a couple steps into the clearing cautiously, allowing Ash and company (+Vito) to catch up to him.  On the other side of the clearing, sparks of blue light suddenly erupt from a moss covered rock, and Benjy’s eyes pulse with light again.

May: Is that a portal?

With a crack, a Celebi emerges from the light, along with a young girl of not more then seven years old, who winds up draped over the rock face.  Rune essence spills out of a pouch that the girl is holding.  QST.camera switches back to Ash and company, whom are all staring in disbelief.

Vito: I…  I don’t believe it…

May’s Pokédex: Celebi, the Timetravel Pokémon.  Celebi arrived by crossing over time.  As long as Celebi appears, a bright future is said to await us.

Celebi: Beeeeeeee!!!

Celebi suddenly makes a b-line right towards Ash and company, smacking both May and Vito in the side of the head as it shoots right by them in a hurry.  Both gasp, and everyone (save for Pikachu) turns around to see Celebi shoot off into the forest, glowing.

Pikachu: Pika-pi!  Pika!

Ash turns towards Pikachu, whom is pointing to where Celebi came from.

Ash: What is it Pikachu?

Pikachu: Pi-pika!

May turns around, followed by Max, to see what Pikachu is pointing at.  As they try to align their angle of vision with Pikachu’s finger, Benjy quickly turns around.

Benjy: There’s a girl on the ledge…

Max: A girl?

Brock: Where?!

May: Right up there, right where–

Brock: Time for the Brockinator!

Brock races over in the direction that May pointed out to him, and looks around confused.

Brock: You said there was a girl, right?

Pikachu: Pi-pika!

Pikachu gestures to Brock urgently.

Brock: I don’t understand…

Max: Behind you!

Brock turns around just as the girl falls off the ledge into his arms, he stumbles under her sudden weight, and slips on a piece of rune essence, landing squarely on his buttocks, still holding the girl, much to the amusement of the others.

Ash: Hey Brock, she’s a little too young for you, don’t you think?

Brock turns bright red, but says nothing.  Brock looks over at the fallen sack, and the round stones on the ground, picking one up.

Brock: What are these?

Vito: Don’t know…

Coal walks over and picks up one of the stones, examining it.

Coal: Looks like rune essence.

Benjy: Rune essence?

May: That’s just like what Ciri uses, right Max?

Max: I think so…

Max scratches his chin, and Coal begins to gather the stones and put them back in the sack.

Coal: Rune essence is…  How to explain it…  It’s like a battery.  The stones store energy.

Ash: Like a lightstone?

Cutscene(@flashback) {

Ash and company are in the lighthouse with Marina and Thatcher.  Marina is preparing to light the lightstone.

Marina: Magnemite!

Thatcher: Now Magnemite!

QST.camera synchronizes with Benjy’s field of vision, darkening the screen to the viewer significantly.  After Magnemite examines the stone, briefly, it discharges a pretty large spark, which strikes the lightstone.  The lightstone glows white for split-second then suddenly emits a blinding amount of light, forcing Benjy to dart out of the circle of mirrors.

}

Coal: Sorta…  Well…  Different…  Different kind of charge.

Benjy: M-magic, right?

Coal nods.

Coal: That’s the common term for it.  I take it they have them where you come from?

Benjy shakes his head.

Benjy: They have them in a game I played.

Coal: Someday you’re going to have to tell me more about this game.

Vito now suggests that they get the girl back to her time quickly, before a paradox can be caused.  Coal isn’t so sure about causing a paradox, but everyone agrees that it’s probably best if the girl return to her own time, preferably before she wakes up.  Ash, May, Benjy, Coal, and Vito send out { Taillow, Beautifly, Pixielite, Pelipper, and Swellow } respectively.

Ash: Alright you guys, there’s a Celebi somewhere in this forest.

Beautifly: Beau?

Pelipper: Pell?

May: We need your help to find it, searching from the air!

With this, the flying-types take flight, and Coal stares after them.

Coal: Just hope we don’t scare it into time-traveling again…

Benjy: If it hasn’t already done so… (nervous)

QST.camera shifts to above the forest, where Pixielite, Taillow, and Beautifly are flying.  Suddenly, everything gets darker, and all three look up to that a giant airship that just appeared from behind a cloud.

Pixielite: Zie?

Taillow: Tailie?

Suddenly, Pixielite, Beautifly, and Taillow all turn tail, and fly away from the airship, spooked.  Seconds later, the airship launches a missile.  Pixielite somehow notices it coming from behind, and sets up a mirror force to deflect the missile back at the ship.  This is successful, and the missile strikes the ship with a devastating explosion.  All three now turn to flee, but the airship shoot’s out an array of smaller missiles.  These aren’t homing, and the creatures dodge most of them, shooting down (Pixielite with thunderbolt and Beautifly with silver wind) what they can’t dodge as they fly back towards the cover of the trees.

Before they can fully take cover, Taillow gets angry and uses quick attack on the ship, startling Pixielite and Beautifly.  Seconds later, Taillow crashes into the windshield of the airship, doing negligible damage, before it gets hit with a windshield wiper and thrown into the sky, injured.

A snag ball is launched from the ship at Taillow, but Pixielite swoops in and grabs it out of the way.  Another snag ball is shot at Beautifly, this ball connects, but Beautifly breaks free after wiggling twice, and flies out of the ship’s line of fire; all three now take cover in the trees.

New Scene()

On the ground in the forest, May notices that it suddenly got a whole lot darker.  She points this out, and the other notices too.  Suddenly a beeping noise is heard and Pixielite returns with Ash’s injured Taillow.  May panics, and then jumps as something lands on her shoulder, but is relieved to find that it’s only Beautifly.  Meanwhile the sky is slowly getting darker.

Ash: Hey Taillow, what happened?

Pixielite: Ikixie!

Pikachu: Pika?!

Ash: Um…

Vito: Look up…

Ash and company now stare upwards at the airship above them.

May: What is that?

Ash: I’ve never seen a pokémon like that.

Ash takes out his pokédex and scans the airship, but the pokédex fails to scan anything.  QST.camera swivels up to show the pokédex’s scan beam on the ship’s underside.

Benjy: I don’t think that’s a pokémon.

Ash: What else could it be?

Max: That’s one seriously heavy-duty cumulonimbus cloud.

Brock: Or some kind of space ship.

Max: But what’s the likelihood of that?

Girl: What’s a space ship?

Max: Hey, you’re finally awake!

Girl: W-where am I?!

Brock: Uh–We found you passed out on a rock.

May: You were with a Celebi that flew away shortly after we found you.  Can I ask what your name is?

The girl shakes her head, and then looks around nervously.

Coal: Lets leave that until later.  Right now–

Coal gestures upwards, and QST.camera follows his gesture to where a giant vacuum appears from the ships middle, and suddenly begins sucking in air.  Ash, May, and Benjy grab their creatures, and recall them.  Ash grabs onto Pikachu and his hat, and May grabs onto her bandana, everyone begins to move away from the vacuum.  The suction slowly increases to where Pelipper and Swellow are forced to land as well.

Coal: Recall your pokémon!  We’re getting out of here!

Brock picks up the girl, who doesn’t resist and Vito recalls Swellow, before the entire group dashes off through the trees.

New Scene()

The ship’s vacuum moves around, sucking all the leaves off of the trees.  Pokémon and Trigamon flee in every direction.  Then suddenly the sucking power begins to increase.

Max: This has got to be Team Rocket’s dumbest idea yet.

Brock: What I want to know is how they built something that big!

A few seconds later (real time), Ash and company (+Vito) suddenly become aware of a mass rustling in the undergrowth, and then a fleeing Sandshrew crashes into May’s leg, nearly knocking her down.

Ash: What’s going on?!

Confused by the stampede of creatures in the undergrowth, Ash and company (+Vito) stop running in confusion.

Brock: Don’t know, but it looks like some kind of stampede…

Max: Are they trying to…

Coal: They appear to be running from the suction.

Benjy: We should be running too!

Narrator: Yes…  Yes you should.

Vito: Join a stampede?!  Are you nuts?!

Suddenly an ear-splitting yell pierces the forest.

Screemadinn: SCREEMA–SCREEMADINN!

Ash, May, Max, Brock, and Vito look around wildly for the source of the cry.

Benjy: What are you doing?!

Brock: Trying to figure out where that came from!

Benjy: We don’t have time!

Benjy points into the distance where the suction rips all the leaves off of a tree, pulling them all into the machine’s underside, all-the-while spitting a fine powder out it’s top.

Girl: I’m scared!

Benjy: We need to get going!

Brock: Benjy, it’s a stampede!  It’s too dangerous.

Coal: Pelipper!

Coal’s Pelipper emerges from it’s ball, and Coal tells it to bring the girl somewhere safe.  Pelipper then scoops the girl up in it’s bill, and flies off.

Coal: Stampede or not, we have to go!

Vito: If we move, we’ll be trampled!

Pelipper carries the girl into the distance, while Ash and company are divided into three groups, Benjy and Coal panicked to leave, Brock and Vito insistant, and Ash, May and Max, unsure of what to do, stuck in between the other two groups.

Coal: Ash, May, Max. Lets go!

Ash: But… Brock…

Brock: You can’t run with a stampede and hope to survive!

The Millennium Gameboy Advance glows with a powerful flash of light.

Yami Benjy: Ash, we’ll all regroup in the next world.

Yami Benjy stares at Brock.

Yami Benjy: In the mean time, we need to survive.

QST.camera goes into a split-screen as Ash, May, and Max realize what Yami Benjy is talking about.

Vito: You’re going to be trampled!

Coal: The odds of survival are better then if we were to try to make it through that thing alive.

Coal now addresses Ash, May, and Max.

Coal: There comes a time for natural selection.  You can flee with the pokémon, or try to survive an industrial-strength matter shredder.  It’s up to you.

Max tugs on May’s wrist.

Max: Lets go.

May and Max take one more look at the ship that getting closer, and suddenly Brock also reaches for her wrist.  Before he can grab it, his own arms are grabbed by a pair of three-foot tall humanoid creatures with mohawks and makeshift guitars strapped to their backsides.  Another pair grabs Vito’s wrists as both of them are dragged away, along with the fleeing pokémon.

Coal: Now we run!

New Scene(QST.applyMusicToThis())

Ash, May, Max, Benjy and Coal are running through the forest after the creatures dragging Brock and Vito.  Max stumbles over a branch and falls face-first in the dirt.  May notices this and turns around, but another of the humanoids picks up Max under it’s arm and continues running.  Behind them the airship sucks an entire tree out of the ground, turning it into sawdust.

Ash: May, lookout!

Before May can respond Coal yanks her out of the way before she can crash into a tree.

Coal: Focus on the path ahead!

May: M-hm.

The five of them (Ash, May, Max, Yami Benjy, and Coal) are now separated from the others as Coal runs after Pelipper, and Ash, May, the creature carrying Max, and Yami Benjy follow.

Ash: Why the (bleep) would Team Rocket do something like that?!

Coal: I don’t think it’s actually Team Rocket?

May: Maybe their searching for something?

Ash: Except that whatever they would be searching for would be destroyed by the shredding mechanism in that thing.

Yami Benjy: Good point, unless whatever they were searching for couldn’t be destroyed by the machine.

Coal has now caught up with Pelipper and the girl, and is running alongside them.

Girl: Help I’m scared!

Coal: You’ll be fine.  What’s your name?

Girl Emma: Emma.

Coal: You’ll make it out alright, Emma.

Emma: You said I was found with a Celebi?  What if it’s looking for Celebi?

Max: Celebi would be killed instantly if it went through that thing.

Ash: Yeah, you’d have to be a complete idiot to look for a Celebi like that.

Max: But you’d have to admit, that Team Rocket would be that dumb.

Coal: I doubt though that they could ever pull together the funding…  I don’t know what kind of power output that thing has, but…

Yami Benjy: Team Rocket would be trying to catch it with butterfly nets.  It has to be someone else.

Humanoid_carrying_Max: Rohka?

Behind the group, trees are getting sucked into the machine at an alarming rate, roots and all.

New Scene()

In the cockpit of the black ship, is a man in black armor with a golden visor.

Person_in_armor: Blast (bleep) that (bleep) (bleep)ing son-of-a (bleep) Celebi.  Where the (bleep) is it.

Person_in_armor: Yes, for the fifteenth time!  I want that (bleep) (bleep) Celebi!

Voice from intercom: Would you like me to open a new search?

Person_in_armor: Just keep manning the suction.

Voice from intercom: I have 2,509,987 search results for "Celebi."

Person_in_armor: Look here you piece of (bloop).  I want THAT Celebi!

Voice from intercom: I have 1,998,226 search results for "That Celebi."

The man slams his fist into the keyboard.

Person_in_armor: Then where the (honk) is it!

Voice from intercom: Would you like to try Wikipedia™?

Person_in_armor: No, where in that forest is that (bloop–bleep)!

Voice from intercom: I have ten-thousand eighty-three sites dedicated to (bloop).

New Scene(Outside the airship)

Person_in_armor: Shut the (breep) up!

Voice from intercom: I can–

Person_in_armor: Shut it, you (bleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep)!

New Scene()

Team Rocket’s balloon floats over the black ship.  They look down at the surface curiously.  All of a sudden James notices that a cannon has targeted the balloon.  Team Rocket jumps ship and lands on the airship as their balloon is detonated in a fiery blaze.  QST.camera moves into the cockpit.

Person_in_armor: And down goes the Hindenburg, now where the (bleep) are you?

Voice from intercom: Mister Ogel, would you like me to run a search?

Person_in_armor Ogel: What do you think we’re doing?

Voice from intercom: The real question sir, is what do *you* think we’re doing?

Ogel: Zarking sircom.

Voice from intercom Sircom: Shall I run a search on zarking?

Narrator: As you can see, this ineffective AI is known as a sircom, because for some reason it always addresses you as "sir" regardless of your biological or sociological gender.  Despite numerous complaints by customers, Plusplus Incorporated has been unable to fix the problem.

Ogel: You’re supposed to be searching for Celebi.

Sircom: But "zarking" has many more search results, sir.

Ogel: That doesn’t change the fact you’re searching for the wrong zarking thing!

Sircom: Shall I run a search for "zarking thing"?

Ogel: Search for Celebi you (bleep)ing (bleep)!

Sircom: I have one trillion search results for (bleep)ing (bleep).

Ogel pounds his hands on the keyboard in frustration.

Ogel: I swear, even my skeleton drones are more useful than you.

Sircom: With which drone do you wish to exchange wedding vows.

Ogel now ignores the sircom, switching his view to a diagram of his drones.

Ogel: (bleep) you!

Sircom: Would you like to skip the wedding and just go straight to the–

Ogel: SHUT UP!

Sircom: Oh, Sir!  Sir!  Sir, there are three stowaways on your ship.  They appear to have landed when you destroyed their balloon!

Ogel: Then put them on the monitor!

A monitor drops down in front of Ogel showing Team Rocket running across his deck.  Ogel presses a button and a monitor shoots out of the ship in front of Jessie, James, and Meowth, which they crash into.

Ogel: Alright, who the zark are you clowns?

In a reply, Team Rocket do their motto, but Ogel just pushes a button that causes the ship to start firing at them.  Team Rocket jump around dodging the missiles and Ogel keeps hitting buttons and more missiles keep appearing.  All missiles explode harmlessly.

New Scene()

Ash and company have all made it to a semi-safe location in the mouth of a cave where wild pokémon are huddling.  Yami Benjy has wrapped towels around Brock’s and Vito’s lower legs, as where they’re legs touched the ground appears to be rubbed raw, while everyone else is watching the missiles explode on the airship’s deck.

Emma: Are they having some kind of party?

Coal: I sure hope not.

Ash: Don’t you mean you hope so?

Coal: No, having a party like that would mean all sorts of bad things.

The three-foot-tall humanoid creatures are standing around with the group, wielding what can only be described as a cross between a club and a guitar, all staring at the airship intently.

Vito: I still can’t believe these guys dragged us all the way here.

Coal: You should thank your lucky stars they did.

May: What are they anyway?

Humanoid Rokkadin: Rokkadin.

Ash: What kind of pokémon is that?

Ash takes out his Pokédex and points it at Rokkadin.

Ash’s Pokédex: Information on this creature is only available in premium mode.  This pokédex is currently in standard mode.  An upgrade to premium mode can be obtained free with a subscription to Professor Oak’s pokémon services.

Vito: Must not be a pokémon…

May: Or they really want us to subscribe.

Yami Benjy now stands up.

Yami Benjy: They’re called Rokkadin.  The name is a portmanteau of "rock" as in "rock and roll" and "din" as in the noise they make.

As Yami Benjy talks, a four-foot tall Rokkadin walks towards them, looking at Brock and Vito as if the two of them are crazy.  As soon as the other Rokkadin see it, they all salute it with their guitar-clubs.

Yami Benjy: Now this is a Screemadinn.  The name is a portmanteau of "scream" and–

Yami Benjy is cut off as the Screemadinn screams, pulling out a giant guitar-club and waving it threateningly at Brock and Vito.

Screemadinn: Screemadinn!!!

Screemadinn walks back and forth, swinging it’s guitar club menacingly.

Screemadinn: SCREEMA SCREEMA DINN.  SCREEMADINN.  SCREEMA DINN SCREEMA DINN SCREEMA SCREEMA!!!

Brock and Vito flinch as Screemadinn walks back and forth yelling at them.  Screemadinn now slams it’s club next to Vito, knocking the poké balls off his belt with the vibrations.

Vito: Alakaz–

Screemadinn: SCREEMADINN!!!

Vito: Zam!

Alakazam pops out of it’s ball, and stares Screemadinn in the eyes.

Screemadinn: Scree–screema!

Alakazam now steps aside, allowing Screemadinn to face Vito.

Alakazam: Kaza?

Vito: Psy–

Yami Benjy: Excuse me.

Screemadinn and Alakazam both turn to Yami Benjy.

Yami Benjy: You realize that they don’t understand you, right?

Yami Benjy gestures to Brock and Vito.

Screemadinn: Dinn?  SCREEMADINN!!!

Yami Benjy wipes Screemadinn’s spittle off of himself.

Yami Benjy: Actually, it doesn’t matter how loud you are, they still won’t understand.

Screemadinn looks to Alakazam, which nods slightly.  Screemadinn hangs it’s head, and black-blue lines appear as a QST::emotionEffect, to show Screemadinn’s frustration.

Ash: Hey, it is just me or has the vacuuming finished?

Vito starts to say something, but a look from Alakazam stops him.

Vito: What?

All of a sudden, a massive explosion the deck of the airship draw’s everyone’s attention.

New Scene()

Back on the ship, Team Rocket is taunting Ogel, who doesn’t even bother to aim at them anymore, sending out a dozen missiles at a time.

Revert Scene()

Those on the ground watch the airship shoot out volley after volley of missiles.

Max: What’s going on up there?

Coal: Maybe it is a party?

May: But what kind of party involves missiles?

Coal: Drunken frats, maybe…

Yami Benjy: Like the NRA?

After this comment, everyone suddenly goes speechless.  QST.camera swivels upwards to show that the missiles are no longer contained to the deck of the airship, and a pair are heading towards where Ash and company (+Vito) and the creatures are gathered, watching the missiles in horror as they (the missiles) head straight towards where everyone is gathered.

Coal: Glalie!  Ice beam!

Coal’s Glalie fires two ice beams, the first misses, but the second strikes one of the missiles and blows it up in mid air, where it explodes harmlessly.  May and Max look quickly over their shoulders to see Coal on the top of the cave with Glalie.  Glalie shoots a couple more ice beams, but this missile avoids each one.

Ash: Pikachu, thunderbolt!

Pikachu sparks on Ash’s shoulder, before shooting a bolt of electricity straight at the missile, striking it head on and exploding it at a distance of about seventy feet, which sends a cloud of shrapnel towards the cave.  Yami Benjy quickly jumps forwards, with his hand to block the blast, generating a golden barrier instantly which provides the necessary function, but fades a split-second later.

May: Should we run?

Coal stares at the airship curiously.

Coal: Not yet.

Brock: You see how it would cause a stampede?

Coal: You be quiet.  That’s not the issue at hand.  I think I know this guy.  If he is whom I think he is, then those missiles could get all the way to Rustboro without much difficulty.

Ash: Rustboro?

Max: Who is this guy?

Coal: I’m not sure yet, but judging by–

Vito: Incoming!

Coal: Glalie, ice beam again!

Glalie shoots these two missiles down without a problem, but three more look like their on their way.

Coal: We’re better off sticking with the cover we have!  Everybody!  Shoot them down!

Screemadinn: SCREEMA SCREEMA!

QST.camera shifts to inside the cave, where the Myrmeleo from the previous episode guides Emma to the back of the cave as the creatures re-organize themselves.  Before Myrmeleo can try anything, a Spinda pulls Emma away from Myrmeleo, who is quickly separated from Emma by the reorganizing.

Refresh Scene()

The Rokkadin, lead by Screemadinn and joined by a few Spinda and Loudred stand by the mouth of the cave, with Ash, May, and Max.  May notes that it’s amazing how they organize themselves.  Yami Benjy stands in front of them and to the side with Vito’s Alakazam; Coal is on the cave’s roof.

Yami Benjy: They’ll be in range in 5!  4!  3!  2!

Yami Benjy swallows.

Yami Benjy: Fire! *cough* At will!

The three missiles from before leading, an entire swath of missiles begin to pour down on the group.  Coal has his Glalie and Blastoise destroy the first three, and then Pikachu zaps two at once, destroying them both.

Coal: Ash!

Ash: Take flight!

A total of seven Skarmory launch into the air like rockets behind Coal, each ridden by another pokémon, including Coal’s Pichu, Ash’s Treecko.  Pixielite follows the Skarmory, intercepting a missile that the Skarmory’s riders were unable to hit, zapping it and flying away before the shrapnel can strike it.

New Scene()

Ogel stands at his desk, watching Team Rocket dodging the missiles, and sighs.

Sircom: Sir, I have just detected a massive gathering of pokémon below your Star Subjugation System.

Ogel: Is Celebi amongst them?

Sircom: I don’t know, sir.

Ogel: Then why are you– (angry)

Sircom: You know what they say, sir.  You’ve got to suck ‘em all.

Ogel: You know what, I like that.

Sircom: I’m glad sir.

Ogel: We’ll find out soon enough if Celebi’s amongst them!  Restart the vacuum!!!

Skeleton drones scramble to get the vacuum in order.

Revert Scene()

Ash sees the airship’s vacuum starting up again, and tells Screemadinn, who calls out to all the Skarmory (in Screemadinn language) to land, resulting in them retreating from the missiles.

Now with clear access the missiles zip at those gathered below.

May: What now?!

Screemadinn: Screema screema!

The Rokkadin suddenly all raise their guitar-clubs in the air, and charge forwards at the missiles, striking them as they come in parallel with the ground, and hurling them back at the airship, which has now resumed pulling entire trees out of the ground (roots included), and shredding them.  Ash declares that he’s going to fight the missiles too, but Yami Benjy stops him, warning him that the Rokkadin have thicker skin than humans.  At this time, it suddenly becomes apparent that a missile has made it’s way through the Rokkadin and is coming directly at them, parallel with the ground and about five feet in the air.

Ash: Pikachu thunder!

Max: Wait!

Yami Benjy: Go!

Pikachu’s thunder strikes the missile and explodes it at a distance of approximately thirty feet.

Yami Benjy: Mirror force!

Pixielite suddenly zips in to block the force of the blast, sending it outwards and making an impressive effect.  This effect is short-lived; the Rokkadin stare upwards as the airship suddenly unleashes about 250 missiles.

Ash: And now we’re really doomed…

Yami Benjy: Unlike the last ones, these appear to be directed at us, not overflow.

May: And the vacuum is going really…

May trails off, completely dumbstruck.  QST.camera shifts between Ash and company, Vito, Screemadinn, and some of the pokémon, spending less than a second on each, before shifting to the airship as the vacuum sucks in the missiles, which explode harmlessly in the ship’s shredder.

Max: Did it just…?

Coal: Guys!  I think I figured out who we’re dealing with!

Ash, May, Max, and Yami Benjy look upwards towards Coal, while more missiles still head their way.  The sky suddenly looks brighter, as Glalie shoots down another missile.
